State Street: Driving mainstreet Chicago: 4K: Streets of the Americas

This video is part of the Streets of the Americas series and not a Covid 19 one. Today we will be driving northbound on State Street from 95th street in south side Roseland Neighborhood to North Blvd by Chicago Gold Coast in north side. We will be passing through Roseland, Chatham, Grand Crossing, Bronzeville, Douglas, Near South Side, South loop, North Loop, River North and Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago.
State street is a major north south thorough fare which starts from North Blvd/Ave in Chicago's Gold Coast Area south of Lincoln Park then continues south through the heart of Downtown Chicago, and ends at the southern city limits, intersecting 127th Street along the bank of the Little Calumet River. It resumes north of 137th Street in Riverdale and runs south intermittently through Chicago's south suburbs until terminating at New Monee Road in Crete. State Street in Chicago is 0 east west in the grid system which means it divides east from west . It is a major street in Chicago which runs parallel to Dan Ryan Expressway up until 31st street from Ford Bishop Expressway. It also informally runs as frontage street from 99th Street to 67th Street.
Today our trip will be 13.1 miles and time taken to complete is about 45 minutes. Enjoy and stay safe.
