Long-term railfan here. I find Binai Sankar's railway travelogs as the best in India so far. The technical details you provide are educational too, especially your subtitles.🤩
Nice video as always. A small correction. At 1:14:49, said connection to port is starting from neyyatinkara, while its actually going to start from balaramapuram. Just wanted to note that. Anyway expecting more videos too.
There used to be a turntable from the old steam days at TVC - I remember from my early railfanning days it used to be pretty prominent (this was when instead of charapara WAP7ukal that yard used to be filled with ED WDMx of all varieties of liveries along with the ERS ones). I never saw much signs of the turntable later but I just realised it could be that dark patch of rail between the actual tracks at 1:28:12 (between the loco and the track that's farther away from you, near the points box). What do you think - it does look like a bit of track connected to nothing from the video - could it be the turntable? I definitely remember it having been in that very area even upto the mid 2000s!
If we need to go Kanyakumari/Trivandrum Then this train is absolutely best when compared to Island Express Becaue it reaches around Afternoon 2PM + too many stops in Kerala
Nice compilation👏 wondering why it was not run as bangalore nagercoil kochuveli express instead .. would have saved a lot of time for end to end pax...
@@bijuvedan Both these trains were extended at the same time.If MYS KCVL is speeded up,It won't make much difference if smvt ncj had been extended to Tvc

Bangalore to Trivandrum Via Nagercoil is much shorter route than Via Palakkad, Ernakulam Route Because most of the trains takes around 16-17 hours,if we go via Nagercoil to Trivandrum it takes minimum 14 hours +1 hour Journey to Trivandrum.
Thanks. That was the purpose of my question. Once TRIVANDRUM...CHENNAI ROUTE THERE WERE MANY TRAINS BUT SOME TOOK 21 HOURS TO COVER 700 KMS. OTHERS NEEDED 24 HOURS .SUCH DIVERSIONS for long distance trains actually are disadvantageous to END TO END TRAVELLERS.
This train had good patronage at Karmelaram, I thought the stop would be made permanent but sadly it was removed. As you rightly point out, SMVT is too far for this part of Bangalore
Its not "Trivandrapuram",You're mixing up the English and malayalam pronunciations. You can spell "Thiruvananthapuram ",Or if its difficult "Trivandrum "
Honestly, what's point of such extreme triangle elevated shelter at Kochuveli, when the angles should've been shortened and stretched for a better protection from rain and heat?! Moreover, entry-exit point seems too narrow. Overall design looks odd to me.
The design is only for show. It's a small terminal where perhaps less than a thousand passengers come in a day. The bigger terminal is on the other side.
Pretty unfair. 77km of the Journey has taken more than 1/2 of the episode. The remaining Mr. Shankar mostly slept! I know it is your channel but my 2cents worth.

"I love Kochuveli" ..such a sarcastic feeling I always have ... Nice journey and new way to reach TVC...
As usual, lovely journey. Now become habit to start Sunday by watching your video. ❤❤
I'm glad my videos can add a bit of joy to your Sundays.
The best rail travel vlog.; have the feeling of travelling alongwith you 👍👌

Superb Shankar ji. Nice route & nice vlog to follow.
Awesome 👌
Nice vlog uncle...❤
New route. Missed Namakkal station which comes at 02.00 hrs.
Have covered that route in detail in the past.
Very informative - because you mentioned the precise layover time are Nagercoil AND reminded you've got to buy an unreserved from Nagercoil 😂

The turn table exists even today. It's located close to the coaching depot. It isn't visible from the train
Awesome Exallent vlog bro im chandra from banglore near smvt

For Kanyakumari and Trivandrum there's the Memu just before this and stops at all stations in Kerala and TN
Wonderful Compilation

It's intended pax are headed to MDU TEN and NCJ. The train is serving them well as well. TVC are pax get benefitted due to the passenger.

I am surprised this train does not have LHB yet.
This is an SCR owned train. SCR is lazy when it comes to LHB conversions

very nice travel V log thanks
You could have shown the interior of the coach as well
Btw, bro have u seen any WDP4s with HOG connection?
Mayiladuthurai JS is also getting lhb coaches from dec 28, is it the rake of ERS intercity?
Goes without saying.

Just an Suggestion . Instead of the applied title music, why don't you use track Sound Or something related to Rail. Think Over.....
This 30 seconds is the only music used in the video - so let that remain
@Platform7byBinaiSankar it doesn't go with the video. I just suggested

@@Platform7byBinaiSankar no need of such typical elaboration. Music is quite boring. Frankly. Hope you understand now

35:30 is that WAP4 whining sound as it gains speed?
Nope. That is the sound from the alternator belts of the coach.
