Hey man, keep up the good vids! I watched your terapagos video, and I think you're ahead of the game with the newer meta!
hey dude, love the content! whats ur opinion on taking the deck archetype to birmingham regionals? im in the senior category, and im messing around rn with the deck that won osaka, is that the better play or should i just play the arcaludons?
Personally, as much as I like the Osaka list, part of the reason it did so well was because Gardevoir is VERY popular over in Japan right now and being able to take the extra turn from Dialga is absolutely incredible in that matchup. Looking at the two most recent tournaments in the European Region, before surging sparks was released there were 5 Gardevoir decks in the top 20, after surging sparks that number went down to 2. Also, in that most recent tournament the top 2 decks were both Charizard-Pidgeot. (limitlesstcg.com/tournaments/458) This leads me to be looking playing a list similar to this but with the inclusion of Scizor to try and offset the prize trade, when doing this look to use Scizor as an early game attacker due to the threat of Briar. I still like the one vitality band here, as both Terapagos and Iron Thorns performed well at said tournament.
such a good video everything is good explained. I am looking for a deck which I can play at EUIC. My plan was to play Archaludon ex but i also concider playing a control deck what would u play ?
Archaludon is a solid pick, personally I have a very strong Gholdengo list that I use as my main that includes Scizor to fix some of Gholdengo's harder matchups. That being said I also have been playing Gholdengo for a while and am very comfortable piloting it (The only thing I have a hard time with at this point is Ceruledge). As for a control deck I would recommend one of my other videos that I found some very positive success with. ua-cam.com/video/yUNnvP4tA7U/v-deo.html
2/2 Metang line would be good to get the energy on a little faster since you do need to rely on the energy to be in the discard! Also, a Full Metal Lab to help protect the attackers/supporters.
While in theory that would work, a metang line would only really clutter the deck with little aid, I almost never am unable to get 2 energies in the discard before evolving, and part of why this deck is so good is because of its incredible consistency, adding to much else to it would take that aspect away. As for the Full Metal Lab it would definitely help, though we already have quite a few stadiums in the deck, cycling road lets us draw and get said energy in the discard, while jamming tower is incredibly prominent in the meta right now when you consider all the decks that play sparkling crystal, as well as stuff that has anicent booster capsules for health like bolt, and future capsules for free retreat in 4-thorns. It also takes care of Gardevoir decks with bravery charm. Another very common one is defiance band against Charizard. So personally, I think the disruption of jamming tower being so impactful in those major matchups. Another thing to consider is if they can hit Archaludon for 300, they're probably going to be able to get to 330, resulting in the OHKO regardless, and if they can't OHKO, we lose that 30 damage we could've added to the Raging Hammer attack we have access to from Relincanth.
@@BluestoneTCG Can confirm! This man knows his stuff. After 300+ rounds with the deck, Scizor (non-ex) is actually insane. Try it out!
@@Papa_Rangus That has definitely been a topic of discussion in some of these other comment threads, I'm playing a 2/2 line of Scizor in a new Gholdengo deck I've been playing and it's just an incredible attacker.
Have you seen, couple of Arcb lists at the Birmingham Regional playing 2 Shuppet and 2 Bannette (LOR). 1 list placed quite highly, do you know whh they would use it?

I can't say I have seen this, I only briefly got to watch some of Birmingham because of other stuff I had going on. It looks like they were using Banette as a way of recycling important cards, sometimes a turo, maybe a boss, or even a Kieran to get the damage bump. This is definitely a viable strategy, as it cuts the need for pal pad and hoping to draw into these cards as well as can be afforded, as Archaludon has plenty of spare bench space more times than not.
What do you think of the Revavroom draw engine for this deck?
I theory that would work great, but I found that with all the professors research, the poke gear 3.0 to find them, and many other draw/hand reset options that it lowers consistency a bit, but it definitely could work!
@BluestoneTCG That's fair enough, so hard to predict what everything is gonna look like at rotation 😅Trying to figure out if I can make Scizor/Scyther work as a 1-prize clean up, so many options 🤣
@@callumbishop7204 Scizor is definitely a viable addition to this deck, while Archaludon's health is super tanky, playing against decks like gholdengo and raging bolt, our opponents can often get those OHKO, so a single prize attacker could definitely help!
@BluestoneTCG That was my thinking. Been trying to work through some things for current format (hence why Ninja and Lumineon are there), but what do you think of this list? Edited slightly from one I've seen online.

@@callumbishop7204 Since you're running the Kieran you could run Maximum Belt as your ace-spec, which would push you damage from metal defender to 270 (hitting things like ceruledge and gholdengo), and 300 (for the mirror) with the Kieran, then turn your jamming towers into either full metal lab or pokestop, I would recommend either pokestop or one of each, that way you can still OHKO in the mirror. You could probably get away with a 1-1 scizor due to the 4 copies of night stretcher, that would open up room for an Arven. This leaves one open spot, which due to the number of 1-off supporters should probably be dedicated to a pokegear 3.0
Once again a great vid! Just to let you know! Got real confident playing with your deck lists and im going to play my very first regional tournament!! Best of luck at the regional! I can put a together a list for you, which tournament will you be attending so I have a time frame?
@@BluestoneTCGi will be playing the rio de janeiro regional on Jan. 18-19th
@@areeqsi I think I have a list for you, I did some research, and it looks like your list is the same as the Toronto 1st place list from Calvin Connor. While that is obviously a very strong list, I took some information from the two most recent major tournaments in the Latin America region, which is where you'll be playing, and found a list that I think has the best balance of consistency and effectiveness. I jumped into a few games with it myself having never played Regidrago before and got a 4-win streak in Arceus league! Here is the link: limitlesstcg.com/decks/list/13407
I'll post a video on it this coming to sunday so you can see how I've been playing it through today as well as whatever else I learn.
@@BluestoneTCG thank you very much! I will do your list! Thankfully i will have time to train with it!! Will be waiting on your vid about it! Gotta improve my skill and your advice will help a lot!!
@@areeqsi I'm happy to help! That video should be coming out tomorrow!
What happens if you run into stone mask ogerpon? I was playing zard and literally had no way to ko them lol
With this exact list you use things like iron bundle and boss to KO their other pokemon, if that isnt an option you could run a one off braviary charm which would allow a duraludon to withstand a hit and respond with KO, or you could run Scizor as a backup attacker.
I play my Deck with a 2/2 Scizor line to attack Mimiky/Cornerstone or high ability decks.
Thats a good idea, Scizor is an incredibly strong single prize attacker. With a 2/2, do you play a higher energy count?
What about 3 stretcher 1 rod
I see no reason that wouldn't work, I personally prefer the 4 night stretcher just because more times than not with this deck whatever I'm grabbing from the discard I need right away (like a relincanth), but a super rod would work around toedscruel!
