Today is the 70 th anniversary. Of the red Skelton show it premiered. 70 years ok on nbc Miss the red Skelton show Red was a nice person loved people Cared about them too rip red Skelton good night and may god bless
This was the first season where the studio audience didn’t clap when the guest stars were introduced…nor at the end when the closing credits were shown….wonder why the change
It's my impression that the smiling greeting of each guest star was an insert into the program; they were not really introduced to the audience. It's also my impression Red's monologue at the beginning had no studio audience either, just canned laughter and applause.
Thank you for your laughter!!! You are a wonderful comedian and entertainer.
Skelton's show were the best in the 60s

What’s so sad is they canceled the Red Skelton hour because they had too many elderly’s watching it so they wantEd gun smoke instead.
