Yoshimitsu is a title that's always passed down from the same warrior clan/tribe, not by blood progeny.
Even though I had the GameCube version because that happened to be the one available and I liked Zelda/Smash Bros., I gladly also would have gotten the PS2 version, also being a Tekken fan. I just love the idea of Heihachi being so damn powerful he walks up to people with swords, spears, axes, giant hammers, a man made entirely of fire, etc. with zero doubt his hands will win out. Even if this is outside of the Tekken canon, I like to imagine him getting isekai'd into Soul Calibur temporarily, beating everyone up, and leaving somehow because he's bored and wants to beat up his family and whomever is the most current iteration of Yoshimotsu more. But as the ending slideshow suggests, perhaps it was all just a dream, which is no where near as fun, ha. Also lmao that ko where he uppercuts Mitsurugi into the river was SO disrespectful omfg 😂

I like how Heihachi Mishima doesn’t use swords or weapons his fists or arm guards are his weapons
The rest of the characters probably looked at him like "Hey bro where's your weapon?" and he points at himself like "Right here, stupid."
There's a reason the way of the fist has been essential to humans since unga bunga times
