Something about Manhunter VS Surfer sticks with me that adds another layer of tragedy to it, but it involves finding some easter eggs and a bit of headcanon. In the office, you can see various images of deaths on the show, although specifically from Marvel VS DC episodes. Given the story being told, it's possible that J'onn and Surfer were trying to investigate what the hell is going on, but ended up being forced into being victims as a result. In a vain attempt to end this cosmic phenomenon, they ended up being just another fight on Death Battle. Honestly, this makes me recontexulize what Death Battle even IS, lore wise. If it's just a simulation, how did he get those photos? How do these actually work? It's not a question I would've asked if it wasn't for this episode, which I'm grateful for because it's fun to explore the series from a new angle and try to explain what this could mean. I doubt it was meant to go that deep, but I can't help it
Both Wiz, Boomstick, Ringmaster and maybe Jocelyn are all awful people. You don’t need a microscope to figure that out. In a different episode, they mention that they go to the characters universes and ask them to be on the show. I like to think certain characters join willingly, others may be brainwashed (which is why they don’t realize they’re stuck in a battle to the death, andexplainssomeoutofcharactersaction,) and MM/SS have been trying to figure out where the characters are, only to suffer the same fate as their friends.
The next episode is Bill vs Discord. Now, from what I have seen most people seem to believe Discord is going to win, so I think we should look at how Bill lost in the show if he is going to lose in the episode. He lost to a gun that erases memories; quite the scientific invention I would say. With this in mind, it is reasonable to assume that this matchup has a scientific basis and is therefore represented by the beaker on the cipher wheel.
Thing is the reason why it worked is cause of bill technically at the time only existing in the mind, if you erase the mind you wipe everything, including bill. Although I'm curious about the shenanigans that the 2 are gonna get up to in their fight, bill could literally alter reality and made pockets of space that transferred realities, I'm not into MLP so I don't know discords feats, so I have no clue what he can do
Also the real bill cipher statue from the cipher hunt is canonically the ACTUAL BILL who is simply trapped in OUR universe. This would put him at a tier 0 going by VS battle wiki’s ranking system, with the only other contestant to ever be featured on death battle (that I know of) matching him is POPEYE

Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer was the underrated gem of the season so far. The writing for the fight and the analyses made it stand out from other Marvel vs DC cosmology matchups. With the characters in question, there wasn’t much need for anything too standout and have them focus on the philosophies of the combatants instead.
Killua vs Misaka is already the underrated pick for the season. Hoping the season keeps up the solid streak cause image how satisfying it would be if season 10 would be the first season with no bad episodes

For me, ranking the bottom half of episodes was so hard to rank cause they are not bad, just really decent to good. Also, I personally rank these on just the fight alone unless the analysis really does something for me 8: Ant-Man vs. Atom: Even though the death was brutal in an awesome way, I just struggle to really be wowed by this episode with how bland Atom is ~ 6/10 7: Killua vs. Misaka: I Heard of Killua, never heard of Misaka, but it still resulted in a pretty cool fight at most points. It does have the most animation weirdness in the season, but the ending stuff to the climax helped it edge over AM VS A ~ 6/10 6: Martian Manhunter vs. Silver Surfer: Besides the one goofy face sprite work on Silver Surfer at their final hand-to-hand clash, this was a really good episode that instead of being the action focus of these cosmic beings, was more 4th wall-breaking of "Why are we fighting" due to how wise these two are. Also, the voice acting for these two were incredible ~ 7/10 5: Raven vs. Phoenix: It may be because I'm biased with my love for Raven as a character from when I watched OG Teen Titans, but I really dig this episode. I guess a lot more than others have. I do see the problems with it, but out of Marvel vs. DC, this was the coolest to me ~ 7/10 4: Dragonborn vs. Chosen Undead: It was really close with the 3rd place episode, but I just really care for the death along with the narrator voice-over story stuff. Mostly because I've never played or known anything about each series, but leading up to that for lackluster finisher was pure action awesomeness with funny references I did pick up ~ 8/10 3: Stitch vs. Rocket: Besides being the funniest DB in this season so far, the action was stellar too. Slight animation stuff, but nothing big to undersell how amazing of an episode this was ~ 8/10 2: Guts vs. Dimitri: This episode blew my expectations out of the water along with getting me really hyped to play 3 houses one day in the future. The action, voice acting, and emotional ending were just phenomenal to me. The only thing kind of holding this back was at most points during the fight, It doesn't seem like the models were giving off much expression in their attack, but still a very incredible episode! Also, the cutaway gag during Dimitri's analysis was my favorite in the season, I just like the bickering about which house is the best... Go Black Eagles! Jokes aside.... ~ 9/10 1: Vader vs. Obito: Just like Guts vs. Dimitri, I was skeptical at first but once the episode ended, I was left speechless and amazed by how much I loved this episode. It may be because I love Star Wars with Vader especially, and how they portrayed the Sith Lord was phenomenal. I love emotional endings/kills in DB and they nailed both aspects out of the park. It's to a level where I'm excited to watch Naruto and see Obito. Along with me just ignoring the ugly af Pedme model, this is my favorite battle for the season and I'm damn proud to say it ~ 10/10

Honestly i feel like this gonna depend on how the previews for each character go. Both of these characters are reality warpers but i feel like Bill Cipher at least has the better experience fighting vs Discord who can fight but he mostly doesn't take fights seriously since he's one of the most powerful creatures in MLP: FiM's lineup. Whether or not his toon force will be a factor in his durability is gonna be hard to tell. The only thing i hope for is that they do a better job of analyzing Discord than they did Twilight in Twilight vs Raven.

My favorite is Vader vs Obito for now, but I hope that something will surpass it this season and I PRAY that the finale was Galactus vs Unicron, a.k.a my most wanted match-up, and given the episodes we had so far, I'd say it's far from impossible, but still crossing my finger.

Beaker shmeaker, none of the episodes are the beaker how about that. Anyways good list man, here’s mine 8. Killua vs Misaka (6-7/10) I’m having trouble deciding, pretty solid episode I just don’t really care for either so I have little interest. Track is great tho. 7. Ant-Man vs Lightbulb Enjoyer (7/10) Once again, solid, but not super interested. Hank being voiced by Nightshade is peak tho. 6. Pheonix vs Raven (7/10) Not as good as I first thought, but still very enjoyable with beautiful visuals (in the fight) 5. Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer (7/10) Aside from the beautiful visuals, storytelling, and ending. Not much stands out as either good or bad but just solid. Those few things raise it up tho. 4. Stitch vs Rocket Raccoon (8/10) Don’t have a super-big connection to this one, but it’s just super fun. 3. Chosen Undead vs Dragonborn (9/10) See the reasoning for the last entry but Fireborn elevates it higher 2. Darts Vader vs Obito (10/10) Easily my favorite matchup this season so far and it did not disappoint, I love pretty much everything about this. 1. Guts vs Dimitri (10/10) I don’t have a super big connection to the matchup or characters but I now have a connection to this episode as it is the only Death Battle episode I have watched with a real life friend, with him being a massive fire emblem fan. It’s just an amazing experience to watch stuff you love with friends.
My fav of the season is really hard for me Vader vs obito is a mu i really love with my 2 fvorite characters from they'er series that ended up as a phenomenal ep. Gut vs Dimitri got FE in the show in a great showing and using one of my favorite characters. And misaka vs killua was one of those I never thought we'd get this character on experience with... One of my personal favorites in misaka. All are eps i adore to no end for both being fun watches and giving me characters i adore on and back on the show.

8. Killua vs Misaka: Pretty great for a least favorite episode, overall its good but a pretty standard anime episode for Death Battle. I'll get it credit for actually having an analysis that engaged me unlike some other generic anime episodes like Deku vs Asta or Sasuke vs Hiei. The fight itself is decent although it has some kinda bad sprite rigging at points. The hand-drawn kaiju stuff at the end is amazing though. I don't have much to say about this episode since I'm not really passionate about the matchup at all, but its still solid. 7/10 7. Raven vs Phoenix: Similarly to Killua vs Misaka, Raven vs Phoenix is a good but pretty generic comic book episode. The analysis is good and has some good jokes, but the editing feels like a step-down compared to previous Marvel vs DC fights. The fight is also one of the most visually stunning animations in all of Death Battles, however, in terms of what actually happened, it felt more like a checklist of obligatory transformations and sequences than an actual well-choreographed fight like Guts vs Dimitri or Megatron vs Frieza. The choreography definitely has a lot of similar issues to the other two Marvel vs DC reality warper fights in which it feels like they are mostly just standing around for most of it. The fight does have its moments towards the beginning and middle thankfully and overall I definitely think its superior to Fate vs Strange and Wanda vs Zatanna. 7/10 6. Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer: As much as I still like this episode, its probably the most disappointing episode of the season so far because despite it being called Martian Manhunter "VS" Silver Surfer, the action is ironically the least interesting part of the episode. The entire sequence from Manhunter breaking the surfboard to him getting thrown into the sun was absolutely goated and the hand-drawn Martian Manhunter Dragon is easily one of the coolest things of the whole season, but the rest of the fight feels like a game of cops and robbers. The chase stuff really isn't that interesting and for an episode that did so many unique things, it felt really generic and dull. If all of the action was on the same level of quality as the dragon scene, then this episode would be great especially since everything else was pretty damn great. The analysis was really in-depth and had some great visual gags and editing, definitely an improvement from Raven vs Phoenix. The animation also has some really cool stuff that isn't all action oriented. The black and white aesthetic at the beginning and end is really cool and the more philosophical dialogue made the episode stand out a lot more than the typical capeshit episode. Overall this episode excelled in ways I wasn't expecting, but didn't deliver on what I was hoping for. 7.3/10 5. Rocket Raccoon vs Stitch isn't the masterpiece that everyone else says it is if you ask me, but it really didn't need to be. It's a fun and relaxing episode that doesn't have any really major problems. The analysis for both is quite good and has easily one of my favorite cutaway gags in the show, and the fight is just a simple fun time. It's short, but it has a lot of really funny moments, great animation, and a really cool setting. Overall this episode doesn't have anything to really dislike about it at all, but I do think its slightly overrated. 7.7/10 4. Ant-Man vs The Atom is surprisingly my favorite sprite episode of the first half. I guess the team was putting all of their ammunition into Bill vs Discord which is why the sprite episodes were slightly weaker than last season's. This episode is still very underrated though and a very strong way to start the season. Both analysis segments were well-edited and gave an excellent coverage of Ant-Man and The Atom. The fight is also really great and has plenty of fun choreography and a great death. Seeing Ant-Man getting put at outerversal was also really eye-opening for someone who thought he was only large building level lol. 8/10 3. Guts vs Dimitri is easily the episode that had the worst waiting period for me along with Megatron vs Frieza. I really wasn't feeling any enthusiasm for this episode leading up to it, but then it finally came out and it blew me away. Not only is the analysis great, but the fight is absolutely amazing in pretty much every way. The sword choreography is absolutely phenomenal and compared other more grounded 3D fights like Boba Fett vs Predator and James Bond vs John Wick, Guts vs Dimitri is definitely an improvement. Speaking of things it does better than those two episodes, the fight also looks fantastic. The ending with the Berserker Armor was raw as hell and although the death confused me at first, once I remembered how the armor keeps Guts' bones in place no matter how much blood he's lost it made a lot more sense and I thought it was a really cool ending. Although this was a matchup that I wasn't really interested in at first, it ended up being one of the best episodes of the season for sure. 9.2/10 2. Chosen Undead vs Dragonborn is an amazing episode. The analysis for both characters is fantastic and I like how they both have slightly different tones since the Dark Souls analysis was more somber while the Skyrim analysis was more goofy. The fight is also super solid and has tons of great moments and awesome sword choreography. The ending isn't great but overall I think this is a near-perfect episode and probably should've been the season premiere instead of Ant-Man vs The Atom. 9.4/10 1. Darth Vader vs Obito is absolute fire! Not only is this the best writing debut in the entire show if you ask me, but the fight is easily my favorite from DevilArtemis. It gets better and better as it goes along and its pretty much a perfect fight scene in every way. I could go more in-depth but I'll leave it here and save that for another time. 9.8/10 Overall this was a great start to the season but not nearly as strong as the second half so far holy shit!
saw someone else do it and i'm a bit bored so i'll post my own: 8. raven vs phoenix boring and uninteresting, voice actors carried, soundtrack sounds more like a fan track than an actual death battle track 7. guts vs dimitri i never enjoyed most 3D battles and i still don't see the appeal here. there's some cool shots but weird editing that takes me out of immersion. 6. darth vader vs obito it's like the obi-wan battle but worse, the story felt too pandering and fake. 5. ant-man vs atom loved the classic superhero vibes they had going on, but the ending monologue feels off, like i see the vision but i can't place my finger on what's up with it. 4. dragonborn vs chosen undead funny meme battle 3. stich vs rocket death battle gotta pay them bills. 2. killua vs misaka i've always loved how pettiness ends up in death in the series, and here is no exception. it's fun to see different character tropes fight. 1. martian manhunter vs silver surfer the most unique death battle that suffers from the usual gimmicks that we all love. i wish death battle had the balls to stick with the aesthetics, i would be this battle's biggest defender if it was in b/w. it also has the ugliest sprite in death battle history. will probably edit when i wake up tm morning
My favorite is antman vs atom because of the “I operate on a scale you can’t even comprehend” line always gets me, and the menacing way antman reaches for atom to make him grow is a bit a neat touch. Plus the death was brutal as hell, though I agree with what Nemesis said in his reaction video in that it should have been more explosion of blood rather than the weird explosion they gave. Plus Boomstick trolling Wiz was hilarious
Weirdly I didn't enjoy either Killua vs Misaka Ackerman nor Skyrim vs Dark Souls, maybe it's because I'm not too familiar with their franchises or idk maybe I'm just wrong, any thoughts?
S10 has been iffy for me so far, only exceptions being Dimitri vs Five Guys and Rocket vs Stitch. Maybe it'll change with the possibility of Giorno vs Joker and the definitely incredible Bill vs Discord
I was absolutely stunned at how much I loved Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer. I thought it would be a decent fight between two OP characters I liked similarly to phoenix vs raven, but no it's easily one of the most engaging episodes they've made, and song is my favorite since wings of iron. My favorite of the season outside of rocket vs stitch. 1. Stitch vs Rocket Raccoon 2. Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer 3. Chosen Undead vs Dragonborne 4. As a veteran fire emblem fan who just started watching berserk, I liked the episode but they used some of the worst chain scaling ac vs dc made up bs to wank both characters to levels that would absolutely break their worlds. Seriously ac vs dc and reaction speed vs travel speed is some of the worst bs bad scalers use to wank their favorite characters and shouldn’t be taken seriously if they use this to justify making wall level characters faster than sound and town and ‘ugh’ stronger than the most powerful nuclear bomb. ( so stupid.)

My biggest issue with Guts vs dimitri is they used some ridiculous chain scaling that ignored or hid many factors to scale both guts and dimitri to such absurd levels that make no sense and would absolutely break their canon worlds. They didn’t even use outliers, they straight up pulled the ac and dc bs to wank the crap out of them.

The swords are Chosen Undead vs. Dragonborn. If you look closely, one of the swords looks like the sword in the First Flame, and the other looks like the iron sword in Skyrim.
Gonna be honest I didn't think much from Martin Manhunter vs. Silver Surfer until Biff reviewed this episode and how the characters don't want to kill or don't know death until Martin expects his death. Which is pretty sad
My favorite part of killua vs misaka is how killua gets dominated for most of the fight and when ever he gets close he decides to send her flying away from him despite saying that he should get close, not to mention how he is matched at hand to hand as well, great episode :)

I don't think that we've had a "bad" Death Battle episode so far this season and for me that's a good thing. I don't know if that's due to this being the 10th season of the show and the staff putting their best foot forward with each episode but even the quote on quote "worst" was really just meh to me. They should’ve used the bloodskal blade for the dragon born because like the moonlight greatsword it shoots out a projectile when you heavy attack, both are great swords that look very cool, and the bloodskal blade’s dark red perfectly contrasts the moonlight greatsword’s light blue.
I mean I kind of have to deduct points from the somber obito vs vader ending when he says “find peace in the next life” and evaporates his chance of doing that with a soul killing weapon. Kind of defeats the tone a little.
watching stitch vs rocket first before watching martian manhunter vs silver surfer was a mistake, one moment of feeling really energetic and then afterwards feeling real somber while having an existential crisis.

Man hunter vs surfers fight is my favorite this whole season because the fact it almost feels like a combat centered twilight zone episode, everything feels so weighted, to me both these weird and alien movements and themes really just work for me on a deep level

Both Wiz, Boomstick, Ringmaster and maybe Jocelyn are all awful people. You don’t need a microscope to figure that out. In a different episode, they mention that they go to the characters universes and ask them to be on the show. I like to think certain characters join willingly, others may be brainwashed (which is why they don’t realize they’re stuck in a battle to the death, andexplainssomeoutofcharactersaction,) and MM/SS have been trying to figure out where the characters are, only to suffer the same fate as their friends.

The next episode is Bill vs Discord. Now, from what I have seen most people seem to believe Discord is going to win, so I think we should look at how Bill lost in the show if he is going to lose in the episode. He lost to a gun that erases memories; quite the scientific invention I would say. With this in mind, it is reasonable to assume that this matchup has a scientific basis and is therefore represented by the beaker on the cipher wheel.

Thing is the reason why it worked is cause of bill technically at the time only existing in the mind, if you erase the mind you wipe everything, including bill. Although I'm curious about the shenanigans that the 2 are gonna get up to in their fight, bill could literally alter reality and made pockets of space that transferred realities, I'm not into MLP so I don't know discords feats, so I have no clue what he can do
Also the real bill cipher statue from the cipher hunt is canonically the ACTUAL BILL who is simply trapped in OUR universe. This would put him at a tier 0 going by VS battle wiki’s ranking system, with the only other contestant to ever be featured on death battle (that I know of) matching him is POPEYE
I think my favorite line of fight between martian man-hunter and silver surfer, was when silver said: "Feel... the pain." that sounded metal as fuck.

Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer was the underrated gem of the season so far. The writing for the fight and the analyses made it stand out from other Marvel vs DC cosmology matchups. With the characters in question, there wasn’t much need for anything too standout and have them focus on the philosophies of the combatants instead.
Both combatants, despite not having fourth wall awareness, know they are in a Death Battle episode.
Killua vs Misaka is already the underrated pick for the season. Hoping the season keeps up the solid streak cause image how satisfying it would be if season 10 would be the first season with no bad episodes

For me, ranking the bottom half of episodes was so hard to rank cause they are not bad, just really decent to good. Also, I personally rank these on just the fight alone unless the analysis really does something for me
8: Ant-Man vs. Atom: Even though the death was brutal in an awesome way, I just struggle to really be wowed by this episode with how bland Atom is ~ 6/10
7: Killua vs. Misaka: I Heard of Killua, never heard of Misaka, but it still resulted in a pretty cool fight at most points. It does have the most animation weirdness in the season, but the ending stuff to the climax helped it edge over AM VS A ~ 6/10
6: Martian Manhunter vs. Silver Surfer: Besides the one goofy face sprite work on Silver Surfer at their final hand-to-hand clash, this was a really good episode that instead of being the action focus of these cosmic beings, was more 4th wall-breaking of "Why are we fighting" due to how wise these two are. Also, the voice acting for these two were incredible ~ 7/10
5: Raven vs. Phoenix: It may be because I'm biased with my love for Raven as a character from when I watched OG Teen Titans, but I really dig this episode. I guess a lot more than others have. I do see the problems with it, but out of Marvel vs. DC, this was the coolest to me ~ 7/10
4: Dragonborn vs. Chosen Undead: It was really close with the 3rd place episode, but I just really care for the death along with the narrator voice-over story stuff. Mostly because I've never played or known anything about each series, but leading up to that for lackluster finisher was pure action awesomeness with funny references I did pick up ~ 8/10
3: Stitch vs. Rocket: Besides being the funniest DB in this season so far, the action was stellar too. Slight animation stuff, but nothing big to undersell how amazing of an episode this was ~ 8/10
2: Guts vs. Dimitri: This episode blew my expectations out of the water along with getting me really hyped to play 3 houses one day in the future. The action, voice acting, and emotional ending were just phenomenal to me. The only thing kind of holding this back was at most points during the fight, It doesn't seem like the models were giving off much expression in their attack, but still a very incredible episode! Also, the cutaway gag during Dimitri's analysis was my favorite in the season, I just like the bickering about which house is the best... Go Black Eagles! Jokes aside.... ~ 9/10
1: Vader vs. Obito: Just like Guts vs. Dimitri, I was skeptical at first but once the episode ended, I was left speechless and amazed by how much I loved this episode. It may be because I love Star Wars with Vader especially, and how they portrayed the Sith Lord was phenomenal. I love emotional endings/kills in DB and they nailed both aspects out of the park. It's to a level where I'm excited to watch Naruto and see Obito. Along with me just ignoring the ugly af Pedme model, this is my favorite battle for the season and I'm damn proud to say it ~ 10/10

Honestly i feel like this gonna depend on how the previews for each character go. Both of these characters are reality warpers but i feel like Bill Cipher at least has the better experience fighting vs Discord who can fight but he mostly doesn't take fights seriously since he's one of the most powerful creatures in MLP: FiM's lineup. Whether or not his toon force will be a factor in his durability is gonna be hard to tell. The only thing i hope for is that they do a better job of analyzing Discord than they did Twilight in Twilight vs Raven.

Not as good as I first thought, but still very enjoyable with beautiful visuals (in the fight)

Aside from the beautiful visuals, storytelling, and ending. Not much stands out as either good or bad but just solid. Those few things raise it up tho.

I don’t have a super big connection to the matchup or characters but I now have a connection to this episode as it is the only Death Battle episode I have watched with a real life friend, with him being a massive fire emblem fan. It’s just an amazing experience to watch stuff you love with friends.

What I didn't like about Killua VS Misaka is literally just the fact that they talked to each other on the street with the stop light on.
That's in character for both.
If ask me i would of have killua face against Kon from Kemeno jihen or in English monster incident that would be a way more challenging fight against fire and electricity

8. Killua vs Misaka: Pretty great for a least favorite episode, overall its good but a pretty standard anime episode for Death Battle. I'll get it credit for actually having an analysis that engaged me unlike some other generic anime episodes like Deku vs Asta or Sasuke vs Hiei. The fight itself is decent although it has some kinda bad sprite rigging at points. The hand-drawn kaiju stuff at the end is amazing though. I don't have much to say about this episode since I'm not really passionate about the matchup at all, but its still solid. 7/10
7. Raven vs Phoenix: Similarly to Killua vs Misaka, Raven vs Phoenix is a good but pretty generic comic book episode. The analysis is good and has some good jokes, but the editing feels like a step-down compared to previous Marvel vs DC fights. The fight is also one of the most visually stunning animations in all of Death Battles, however, in terms of what actually happened, it felt more like a checklist of obligatory transformations and sequences than an actual well-choreographed fight like Guts vs Dimitri or Megatron vs Frieza. The choreography definitely has a lot of similar issues to the other two Marvel vs DC reality warper fights in which it feels like they are mostly just standing around for most of it. The fight does have its moments towards the beginning and middle thankfully and overall I definitely think its superior to Fate vs Strange and Wanda vs Zatanna. 7/10
6. Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer: As much as I still like this episode, its probably the most disappointing episode of the season so far because despite it being called Martian Manhunter "VS" Silver Surfer, the action is ironically the least interesting part of the episode. The entire sequence from Manhunter breaking the surfboard to him getting thrown into the sun was absolutely goated and the hand-drawn Martian Manhunter Dragon is easily one of the coolest things of the whole season, but the rest of the fight feels like a game of cops and robbers. The chase stuff really isn't that interesting and for an episode that did so many unique things, it felt really generic and dull. If all of the action was on the same level of quality as the dragon scene, then this episode would be great especially since everything else was pretty damn great. The analysis was really in-depth and had some great visual gags and editing, definitely an improvement from Raven vs Phoenix. The animation also has some really cool stuff that isn't all action oriented. The black and white aesthetic at the beginning and end is really cool and the more philosophical dialogue made the episode stand out a lot more than the typical capeshit episode. Overall this episode excelled in ways I wasn't expecting, but didn't deliver on what I was hoping for. 7.3/10
5. Rocket Raccoon vs Stitch isn't the masterpiece that everyone else says it is if you ask me, but it really didn't need to be. It's a fun and relaxing episode that doesn't have any really major problems. The analysis for both is quite good and has easily one of my favorite cutaway gags in the show, and the fight is just a simple fun time. It's short, but it has a lot of really funny moments, great animation, and a really cool setting. Overall this episode doesn't have anything to really dislike about it at all, but I do think its slightly overrated. 7.7/10
4. Ant-Man vs The Atom is surprisingly my favorite sprite episode of the first half. I guess the team was putting all of their ammunition into Bill vs Discord which is why the sprite episodes were slightly weaker than last season's. This episode is still very underrated though and a very strong way to start the season. Both analysis segments were well-edited and gave an excellent coverage of Ant-Man and The Atom. The fight is also really great and has plenty of fun choreography and a great death. Seeing Ant-Man getting put at outerversal was also really eye-opening for someone who thought he was only large building level lol. 8/10
3. Guts vs Dimitri is easily the episode that had the worst waiting period for me along with Megatron vs Frieza. I really wasn't feeling any enthusiasm for this episode leading up to it, but then it finally came out and it blew me away. Not only is the analysis great, but the fight is absolutely amazing in pretty much every way. The sword choreography is absolutely phenomenal and compared other more grounded 3D fights like Boba Fett vs Predator and James Bond vs John Wick, Guts vs Dimitri is definitely an improvement. Speaking of things it does better than those two episodes, the fight also looks fantastic. The ending with the Berserker Armor was raw as hell and although the death confused me at first, once I remembered how the armor keeps Guts' bones in place no matter how much blood he's lost it made a lot more sense and I thought it was a really cool ending. Although this was a matchup that I wasn't really interested in at first, it ended up being one of the best episodes of the season for sure. 9.2/10
2. Chosen Undead vs Dragonborn is an amazing episode. The analysis for both characters is fantastic and I like how they both have slightly different tones since the Dark Souls analysis was more somber while the Skyrim analysis was more goofy. The fight is also super solid and has tons of great moments and awesome sword choreography. The ending isn't great but overall I think this is a near-perfect episode and probably should've been the season premiere instead of Ant-Man vs The Atom. 9.4/10
1. Darth Vader vs Obito is absolute fire! Not only is this the best writing debut in the entire show if you ask me, but the fight is easily my favorite from DevilArtemis. It gets better and better as it goes along and its pretty much a perfect fight scene in every way. I could go more in-depth but I'll leave it here and save that for another time. 9.8/10

My favorite is antman vs atom because of the “I operate on a scale you can’t even comprehend” line always gets me, and the menacing way antman reaches for atom to make him grow is a bit a neat touch. Plus the death was brutal as hell, though I agree with what Nemesis said in his reaction video in that it should have been more explosion of blood rather than the weird explosion they gave. S10 has been iffy for me so far, only exceptions being Dimitri vs Five Guys and Rocket vs Stitch. Maybe it'll change with the possibility of Giorno vs Joker and the definitely incredible Bill vs Discord
I was absolutely stunned at how much I loved Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer. I thought it would be a decent fight between two OP characters I liked similarly to phoenix vs raven, but no it's easily one of the most engaging episodes they've made, and song is my favorite since wings of iron. My favorite of the season outside of rocket vs stitch.

I’d like to point out that all the fights were good, there were just a few things that could have been better with a few.
As a veteran fire emblem fan who just started watching berserk, I liked the episode but they used some of the worst chain scaling ac vs dc made up bs to wank both characters to levels that would absolutely break their worlds. Seriously ac vs dc and reaction speed vs travel speed is some of the worst bs bad scalers use to wank their favorite characters and shouldn’t be taken seriously if they use this to justify making wall level characters faster than sound and town and ‘ugh’ stronger than the most powerful nuclear bomb. ( so stupid.)
The fact that the marvel vs Dc episodes are the lowest here shows how overused it is

My biggest issue with Guts vs dimitri is they used some ridiculous chain scaling that ignored or hid many factors to scale both guts and dimitri to such absurd levels that make no sense and would absolutely break their canon worlds. They didn’t even use outliers, they straight up pulled the ac and dc bs to wank the crap out of them.

That's how I see it. Though I have to admit, no joking, beaker at Phoenix vs. Raven does actually sound like a good point, but not as good as TWO moons that just so conviniently are shadowed in half-moon fashion.
The swords are Chosen Undead vs. Dragonborn. If you look closely, one of the swords looks like the sword in the First Flame, and the other looks like the iron sword in Skyrim.

Gonna be honest I didn't think much from Martin Manhunter vs. Silver Surfer until Biff reviewed this episode and how the characters don't want to kill or don't know death until Martin expects his death. Which is pretty sad
It's a death battle I was very confused on until I rewatched it, it quickly became one of my favorites
My favorite part of killua vs misaka is how killua gets dominated for most of the fight and when ever he gets close he decides to send her flying away from him despite saying that he should get close, not to mention how he is matched at hand to hand as well, great episode :)

I don't think that we've had a "bad" Death Battle episode so far this season and for me that's a good thing. I don't know if that's due to this being the 10th season of the show and the staff putting their best foot forward with each episode but even the quote on quote "worst" was really just meh to me. If i did have to put my rankings for each episode though it would be as follows:
8: Atom vs Antman (6.5/10)
7: Raven vs Jean Grey (7/10)
6: Killua vs Mikasa (7/10)
5: Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer (7.5/10)
4: Dragonborn vs The Undead Chosen (8.5/10)
3: Obito vs Darth Vader (9/10)
2: Dimitri vs Guts (9/10)
1: Stitch vs Rocket (9.5/10)

Even though It's not my favorite, Vader vs Obito will hold a special place in my heart because I got to see the preview at RTX, and that trip was very special for me for multiple reasons
Silver Surfer is kinda mid tbh

8: Stitch vs. Rocket (I literally try multiple times of liking it but I just feel the opposite that I just find it bored or less entertaining)

Wait that was finished in the few days prior to the episode airing? I assumed that they had these all finished at least a month in advance! Even if only to avoid another Mewtwo vs Shadow processing error, or a Beerus vs Galaxia copyright clusterfuck.

I still can’t get over how you prefer Killua and Misaka and Silver Surfer over Ant-Man vs Atom.
Killua vs Misaka felt like a fight from HxH. Its too bad children dying makes me physically uncomfortable, otherwise I'd watch it more than once.
What are your thoughts on the animated DreamWorks movie, Mr. Peabody and Sherman?
They should’ve used the bloodskal blade for the dragon born because like the moonlight greatsword it shoots out a projectile when you heavy attack, both are great swords that look very cool, and the bloodskal blade’s dark red perfectly contrasts the moonlight greatsword’s light blue.

I mean I kind of have to deduct points from the somber obito vs vader ending when he says “find peace in the next life” and evaporates his chance of doing that with a soul killing weapon. Kind of defeats the tone a little.

Really nice ranking! Also I have to say I actually really love Ant Man vs Atom, while not my favorite of the season I really enjoyed pretty much everything on it, ig since I went in with 0 expectations I got really pleasantly surprised. Hope DB can keep these amazing episodes

Man hunter vs surfers fight is my favorite this whole season because the fact it almost feels like a combat centered twilight zone episode, everything feels so weighted, to me both these weird and alien movements and themes really just work for me on a deep level
In terms of music, Fireborn is my favorite Death Battle track so far
