Why do I feel like this relationship was wrong for so many reasons? They developed feelings for each other because of the urge and rush to kiss each other. She's a beautiful angel and he's the hot popular guy. So their feelings for each other was built on the grounds of physical attraction. It had no emotional depths (though that built up eventually but still)

People seem to point their fingers at characters and even this drama as a whole. I do not think we are suppose to swoon over this "romance" story. These characters have trauma and are toxic. Ever since episode 1 - I knew we were suppose to question their actions. This story is to be tragic

Friend of the year ladies and gentlemen.
The one thing about this drama that i absolutely admire is its bravery NOT to go down the typical Kdrama path. Although i haven't seen many Kdramas... at this point in the show i could sort of tell that if this were to go down the typical path we've all seen before...this would've been the scene to change her mind and go with Sun-ho. Sun-ho's lines about "Your eyes don't lie" really had *End game vibes* so i was like omg here we go Sun-ho is endgame. As a Hye-yeong shipper myself i was DREADING this because i thought it was going down the typical road of *well the main lead said something really smoothe so i guess he's the one* type of road😂 BUT NO Ironically, this is the scene that solidified her feelings for Hye-yeong because thats all she could think about. I love that the writers recognised that forcing something doesn't work...especially with a person like Jojo who's been tortured her whole life. She's spent her whole life being *Forced* And I absolutely love how they took my expectations of this scene and flipped it on its head and injected actual honest to god realism and character consistency. At this point of the show Jojo was being completely selfish (Righfully so) she broke up with Sun-ho to spare her feelings and shut off her love alarm to everyone. Ironically Sun-oh was the one that got her to think of something other than herself for once because of that kiss. I think she realised that she finally put someone before herself... in that she couldn't stop thinking about Hye-yeong when Sun-ho forced a kiss. I think at that point she realised how much she'd changed because of Hye-yeong. I just love how they took her actual character traits and themes and brought them out so realistically and made them consistent and didn't just change her character because the main lead said something sweet and kissed her because realistically a kiss obviously doesn't just heal scars and I'm SO GLAD the writer didn't write that *A kiss healed her* or some stupid shit like that. I love that the writers acknowledged that *Chemistry alone should not deteremine who people should be with* and for me personally i can admit that Sun-oh and Jojo have better romantic Chemistry...but things that make your heart beat really fast isn't the only thing people need in a relationship and i think that writers did a fantastic job illistrating that while Sun-ho and Jojo may have had mad Chemistry...thats about all they had...what Hye-yeong gave her will last alot longer because he gives her everything else. (When i say main lead I'm talking about Sun-oh. I know Sun-oh isn't the main lead in S2 but i don't care I'll ALWAYS see Hye-yeong as the 2nd lead and Sun-oh as the Main Lead...and plus thinking of Hye-yeong as a 2nd lead REALLY takes the weight off of my heartbreak for other 2nd leads because in my mind this is a 2nd lead that finally got the girl)
Your analysis is spot on. I've been Hye-young admirer since Season 1 myself. I don't understand why so many people refuse to see that Hye-young is better for Jo-jo. As someone who has lived with a survivor's guilt and unloved by her next family, she puts her guard on and doesn't let anyone close to her. But, Hye-young is calm, assured and mature. He loves her unconditionally, silently at first, but more confidently later. He makes Jo-jo open her heart to love. Their scenes together may not be those of passionate sparks so that people doubt the chemistry between the actors. But, their love is one that is sweet, tender and of gradual growth. You can't help feeling happy for them when they embraced.
This is the best description of them... I also really impressed with the story, with the characters in season 2, because this is real life. This story is very realistic. I love that "love is cannot be forced, love is pure, love is something that must be developed with the heart, not just by the application or something else". I'm not a shipper of anyone.
many people just see the chemistry of the actors and their visuals. But here Hye-yeong's love is unconditionally... And I really love their love progress and development. Love like that is long lasting love. Hye-yeong and Jojo support each other, they open their hearts each other, they are really mature love.

I know that everyone has their own opinions but aren't y'all going to far for this, I mean it is just a drama chill 😂 Firstly, Jojo waited for Sun oh after the accident, he couldn't show up because of his family of course, but all this time when he wasn't with Jojo when she was suffering the most and was blaming herself for every single thing that had happened in her life; Hye yeong was with her and helped her get through that situation. Isn't it natural for her to fall for him even if she wasn't sure about her feelings it was quite obvious that she liked Hye yeong because he always waited for her and never blamed her for not liking him back since the start. When he said "I will keep liking you, even if you don't like me. So don't feel pressured or anything..." She felt nothing but love. It's just that the stupid love alarm didn't ring because of the shield and that is the main reason CDG decided to drop the plan about releasing Love alarm 2.0, as an app could never really decide whom you truly love it is just your heart.

And not only that but she literally left him the dark for years where alot of things were concerned and the poor guy didn't even get proper closure so he could move on she just kept avoiding him which he prolly thought was false hope... all this led to some pretty erratic behavior I must admit but she had some contributions to it...

Like even though Hye-Yeong has been supportive, I think she got the most support with serious stuff from her time with Sun-oh or just personally development because when she got her ptsd trigger Sun-oh was there, she confided with him about her feelings at home and alot of other stuff But I think the reason also why Hye-Yeong comes off as more understanding is because he knew about her parents from Gul-Mi and other stuff so he already had know quite alot but Sun-oh didn't get the opportunity to know any of that until later so he couldn't get a good grip on her rationale while Hye-Yeong had things he could piece together in my opinion

People see this and they still don’t get why Jojo chose Hye-yeong. 😫 I’d like to break down some points of the series. If you don’t like reading long essays, you may stop here. Hahahaha! I watched this clip because this is the part where Jojo realizes it’s Hye-yeong she loves despite Sun-oh kissing her. 😂 For those putting the blame on Hye-yeong for not confessing first. I replied this as a comment but here it is. The only reason Hye-yeong denied it was because the first time, Jojo was in a relationship with Il-sik. He’s not the type of person who would steal a girl or make the girl’s life complicated. He didn’t know Jojo wasn’t actually in love with Il-sik. He was waiting for her to be single before he made a move. The second time was when Sun-oh deliberately kissed Jojo to get a reaction from Hye-yeong while he kept insisting that he tells him the truth (‘cause obviously Sun-oh knew Hye-yeong liked her. Even the driver/PA told him that.), Hye-yeong actually thought Sun-oh really liked her. He said “What about you? Why did you kiss her? I’ll answer your question if you answer mine”. He also told Sun-oh, “No matter how many times you ask, my answer is still the same. I don’t like Kim Jojo BECAUSE YOU LIKE HER.”. Hye-yeong ALWAYS put Sun-oh first since childhood and knowing his bestfriend liked the girl he likes, he backed away. (Very different from what Sun-oh did). Remember when Hye-yeong was talking to Jojo about HS after 4 years and admitting his feelings? He said, “I deleted the Love Alarm because I thought it would make things complicated. But I should’ve just rang your love alarm then.” Again, it wasn’t because he didn’t want to act up on it. He wanted to tell her he liked her. He just considered everyone else’s feelings and situations first. Especially since it involved both Jojo and Sun-oh. Two people he cared most about. 😊 So really, I don’t think it’s fair for other people to blame Hye-yeong for not confessing first just because Sun-oh was so head on aggressive about his feelings. Sun-oh’s approach was sort of self-centered because he was the type of person who craves attention from what he’s lacking from his family. Hye-yeong was the only person giving him that and he got jealous of Jojo because she was taking Hye-yeong’s attention from him. That’s why he kissed Jojo in the first place. To get a reaction from Hye-yeong. His feelings just developed over time since when Jojo finally rang his love alarm, he wanted so much to keep that love but couldn’t see past the fleeting moments with her. As for Jojo’s reason. While I understand that he was trying to do good with his relationship with Jojo during HS, Sun-oh, without realizing it was actually doing these things for himself as well. He wanted to keep Jojo because he felt happy with her. She did mention in season one that even though Sun-oh was good to her there was a line in their convenience store where Sun-oh texted her he’d always ring her love alarm, she said, “I didn’t do anything wrong. But why do I feel so small?” He was blind to what Jojo actually felt and needed. Hye-yeong didn’t need Jojo to tell him what she felt. As he said, “How can I not know, when I can see it so clearly?” Sun-oh did care for Jojo. But it was misplaced because he couldn’t understand or see her struggles without her telling him. Even to the last minute, he still can’t figure out Jojo and kept asking her why she broke-up with him or insisting that she still likes him even when Jojo already told him no. He’s been ignorant until the last season where he couldn’t even admit to himself that Jojo already liked Hye-yeong and not him.😅 Maybe to other people who are centered on Sun-oh like he is to himself, he looked like the victim and didn’t do anything wrong. But when you’re not the “right one”, it can never be forced. He can’t force Jojo like when he kissed her without her consent and her being in a relationship yet again and with his best friend! 😩 If Hye-yeong did that when he was in a relationship with Jojo, he’d flip. (but we all know that’s not Hye-yeong style). Jojo felt something wrong about their relationship and it wasn’t healthy that’s why she installed the shield and broke-up with him. But she felt more happy and at ease with Hye-yeong. There weren’t so many complications and drama. That’s why she wanted to uninstall the shield and express her feelings to Hye-yeong. 😊😅 Like in real life, even when you love a person, but you feel incomplete, would you still stay in that relationship when you can be completely happy and healthy with someone else? In a relationship that doesn’t feel like it’s a burden but things just go smoothly? 😅 I mean Jojo was clearly was giving more effort and care with her relationship with Hye-yeong than she did with Sun-oh and she didn’t even feel small or any burden at all. Based on that alone, you could tell who she valued more. Hehe. 😊✌🏼 As for Hye-yeong being “selfish”. I don’t think that’s fair since Sun-oh did that to him first. Hye-yeong always put Sun-oh first in everything. Even with Jojo in the first season. He didn’t even get mad a Sun-oh for pursuing Jojo. If Sun-oh can express his feelings, why can’t Hye-yeong when Jojo was already single? Sun-oh also denied that he still has feelings for her but HY said “Well, I still do.” He realized he couldn’t let Jojo go so he finally tried when it was the right time. If Sun-oh was a true friend, he would’t get mad at Hye-yeong when Hye-yeong didn’t get mad at him when he came for Jojo. Hye-yeong didn’t abandon Sun-oh. Sun-oh pushed him away because of Jojo. He said “Go to Jojo! But don’t come back here again.” So yeah, I don’t think HY left him by his choice. 😅 why did he try to leave the house? He only rented an apartment because he too was feeling small living in a house that wasn’t his. Also maybe because it would make Sun-oh uncomfortable with him dating Jojo. But it didn’t mean he wanted to stop being friends with Sun-oh. He didn’t have ill feelings with him. It was the other way around. 😊 However, I do think it was a good touch that they still gave Sun-oh maturity towards the last episode with his relationship with his mom, how he finally accepted the truth about Jojo and how he treated Yukjo. 👍🏼 The End. 😂

Just saw Love alarm 1 and 2 . First half was good but I hate how it's ended. Poor Sun-ho, didn't expected this type of ending. He deserved best. Don't watch as you'll gonna regret.

Love Alarm comes from webtoon the writer clearly stated jojo going to end up with the other guy. The director has nothing to do with the ending. I dont think season 3 going to happen anytime soon the other lead guy already went to serve army for 18 months.

All these heartaches are caused by Cheo Duk Gu, he should let Jojo develop her own volition (she was only eighteen) and not in a moment of confusion downloaded the shield.
Her own volition came into play the moment she downloaded the shield. Even if there was no shield, Jojo was already thinking of breaking up with SO, it’s just that the shield was the easiest option because SO relied so much on Love Alarm (which he later confesses to in S2).

The one thing about this drama that i absolutely admire is its bravery NOT to go down the typical Kdrama path.
Although i haven't seen many Kdramas... at this point in the show i could sort of tell that if this were to go down the typical path we've all seen before...this would've been the scene to change her mind and go with Sun-ho. Sun-ho's lines about "Your eyes don't lie" really had *End game vibes* so i was like omg here we go Sun-ho is endgame. As a Hye-yeong shipper myself i was DREADING this because i thought it was going down the typical road of *well the main lead said something really smoothe so i guess he's the one* type of road😂

Ironically, this is the scene that solidified her feelings for Hye-yeong because thats all she could think about. I love that the writers recognised that forcing something doesn't work...especially with a person like Jojo who's been tortured her whole life. She's spent her whole life being *Forced* And I absolutely love how they took my expectations of this scene and flipped it on its head and injected actual honest to god realism and character consistency.
At this point of the show Jojo was being completely selfish (Righfully so) she broke up with Sun-ho to spare her feelings and shut off her love alarm to everyone.
Ironically Sun-oh was the one that got her to think of something other than herself for once because of that kiss. I think she realised that she finally put someone before herself... in that she couldn't stop thinking about Hye-yeong when Sun-ho forced a kiss. I think at that point she realised how much she'd changed because of Hye-yeong.
I just love how they took her actual character traits and themes and brought them out so realistically and made them consistent and didn't just change her character because the main lead said something sweet and kissed her because realistically a kiss obviously doesn't just heal scars and I'm SO GLAD the writer didn't write that *A kiss healed her* or some stupid shit like that.
I love that the writers acknowledged that *Chemistry alone should not deteremine who people should be with* and for me personally i can admit that Sun-oh and Jojo have better romantic Chemistry...but things that make your heart beat really fast isn't the only thing people need in a relationship and i think that writers did a fantastic job illistrating that while Sun-ho and Jojo may have had mad Chemistry...thats about all they had...what Hye-yeong gave her will last alot longer because he gives her everything else.
(When i say main lead I'm talking about Sun-oh. I know Sun-oh isn't the main lead in S2 but i don't care I'll ALWAYS see Hye-yeong as the 2nd lead and Sun-oh as the Main Lead...and plus thinking of Hye-yeong as a 2nd lead REALLY takes the weight off of my heartbreak for other 2nd leads because in my mind this is a 2nd lead that finally got the girl)
Your analysis is spot on. I've been Hye-young admirer since Season 1 myself. I don't understand why so many people refuse to see that Hye-young is better for Jo-jo. As someone who has lived with a survivor's guilt and unloved by her next family, she puts her guard on and doesn't let anyone close to her. But, Hye-young is calm, assured and mature. He loves her unconditionally, silently at first, but more confidently later. He makes Jo-jo open her heart to love. Their scenes together may not be those of passionate sparks so that people doubt the chemistry between the actors. But, their love is one that is sweet, tender and of gradual growth. You can't help feeling happy for them when they embraced.
This is the best description of them... I also really impressed with the story, with the characters in season 2, because this is real life. This story is very realistic. I love that "love is cannot be forced, love is pure, love is something that must be developed with the heart, not just by the application or something else". I'm not a shipper of anyone.

many people just see the chemistry of the actors and their visuals. But here Hye-yeong's love is unconditionally... And I really love their love progress and development. Love like that is long lasting love. Hye-yeong and Jojo support each other, they open their hearts each other, they are really mature love.

Firstly, Jojo waited for Sun oh after the accident, he couldn't show up because of his family of course, but all this
time when he wasn't with Jojo when she was suffering the most and was blaming herself for every single thing that had happened in her life; Hye yeong was with her and helped her get through that situation. Isn't it natural for her to fall for him even if she wasn't sure about her feelings it was quite obvious that she liked Hye yeong because he always waited for her and never blamed her for not liking him back since the start.
When he said "I will keep liking you, even if you don't like me. So don't feel pressured or anything..." She felt nothing but love. It's just that the stupid love alarm didn't ring because of the shield and that is the main reason CDG decided to drop the plan about releasing Love alarm 2.0, as an app could never really decide whom you truly love it is just your heart.
I hope Sohyun and Song Kang meet up in another drama 💓💓

Like even though Hye-Yeong has been supportive, I think she got the most support with serious stuff from her time with Sun-oh or just personally development because when she got her ptsd trigger Sun-oh was there, she confided with him about her feelings at home and alot of other stuff
But I think the reason also why Hye-Yeong comes off as more understanding is because he knew about her parents from Gul-Mi and other stuff so he already had know quite alot but Sun-oh didn't get the opportunity to know any of that until later so he couldn't get a good grip on her rationale while Hye-Yeong had things he could piece together in my opinion

I watched this clip because this is the part where Jojo realizes it’s Hye-yeong she loves despite Sun-oh kissing her. 😂
For those putting the blame on Hye-yeong for not confessing first. I replied this as a comment but here it is. The only reason Hye-yeong denied it was because the first time, Jojo was in a relationship with Il-sik. He’s not the type of person who would steal a girl or make the girl’s life complicated. He didn’t know Jojo wasn’t actually in love with Il-sik. He was waiting for her to be single before he made a move.
The second time was when Sun-oh deliberately kissed Jojo to get a reaction from Hye-yeong while he kept insisting that he tells him the truth (‘cause obviously Sun-oh knew Hye-yeong liked her. Even the driver/PA told him that.), Hye-yeong actually thought Sun-oh really liked her. He said “What about you? Why did you kiss her? I’ll answer your question if you answer mine”. He also told Sun-oh, “No matter how many times you ask, my answer is still the same. I don’t like Kim Jojo BECAUSE YOU LIKE HER.”. Hye-yeong ALWAYS put Sun-oh first since childhood and knowing his bestfriend liked the girl he likes, he backed away. (Very different from what Sun-oh did). Remember when Hye-yeong was talking to Jojo about HS after 4 years and admitting his feelings? He said, “I deleted the Love Alarm because I thought it would make things complicated. But I should’ve just rang your love alarm then.” Again, it wasn’t because he didn’t want to act up on it. He wanted to tell her he liked her. He just considered everyone else’s feelings and situations first. Especially since it involved both Jojo and Sun-oh. Two people he cared most about. 😊
So really, I don’t think it’s fair for other people to blame Hye-yeong for not confessing first just because Sun-oh was so head on aggressive about his feelings. Sun-oh’s approach was sort of self-centered because he was the type of person who craves attention from what he’s lacking from his family. Hye-yeong was the only person giving him that and he got jealous of Jojo because she was taking Hye-yeong’s attention from him. That’s why he kissed Jojo in the first place. To get a reaction from Hye-yeong. His feelings just developed over time since when Jojo finally rang his love alarm, he wanted so much to keep that love but couldn’t see past the fleeting moments with her.
As for Jojo’s reason. While I understand that he was trying to do good with his relationship with Jojo during HS, Sun-oh, without realizing it was actually doing these things for himself as well. He wanted to keep Jojo because he felt happy with her. She did mention in season one that even though Sun-oh was good to her there was a line in their convenience store where Sun-oh texted her he’d always ring her love alarm, she said, “I didn’t do anything wrong. But why do I feel so small?” He was blind to what Jojo actually felt and needed. Hye-yeong didn’t need Jojo to tell him what she felt. As he said, “How can I not know, when I can see it so clearly?”
Sun-oh did care for Jojo. But it was misplaced because he couldn’t understand or see her struggles without her telling him. Even to the last minute, he still can’t figure out Jojo and kept asking her why she broke-up with him or insisting that she still likes him even when Jojo already told him no. He’s been ignorant until the last season where he couldn’t even admit to himself that Jojo already liked Hye-yeong and not him.😅
Maybe to other people who are centered on Sun-oh like he is to himself, he looked like the victim and didn’t do anything wrong. But when you’re not the “right one”, it can never be forced. He can’t force Jojo like when he kissed her without her consent and her being in a relationship yet again and with his best friend! 😩 If Hye-yeong did that when he was in a relationship with Jojo, he’d flip. (but we all
know that’s not Hye-yeong style). Jojo felt something wrong about their relationship and it wasn’t healthy that’s why she installed the shield and broke-up with him. But she felt more happy and at ease with Hye-yeong. There weren’t so many complications and drama. That’s why she wanted to uninstall the shield and express her feelings to Hye-yeong. 😊😅
Like in real life, even when you love a person, but you feel incomplete, would you still stay in that relationship when you can be completely happy and healthy with someone else? In a relationship that doesn’t feel like it’s a burden but things just go smoothly? 😅 I mean Jojo was clearly was giving more effort and care with her relationship with Hye-yeong than she did with Sun-oh and she didn’t even feel small or any burden at all. Based on that alone, you could tell who she valued more. Hehe. 😊✌🏼
As for Hye-yeong being “selfish”. I don’t think that’s fair since Sun-oh did that to him first. Hye-yeong always put Sun-oh first in everything. Even with Jojo in the first season. He didn’t even get mad a Sun-oh for pursuing Jojo. If Sun-oh can express his feelings, why can’t Hye-yeong when Jojo was already single? Sun-oh also denied that he still has feelings for her but HY said “Well, I still do.” He realized he couldn’t let Jojo go so he finally tried when it was the right time. If Sun-oh was a true friend, he would’t get mad at Hye-yeong when Hye-yeong didn’t get mad at him when he came for Jojo. Hye-yeong didn’t abandon Sun-oh. Sun-oh pushed him away because of Jojo. He said “Go to Jojo! But don’t come back here again.” So yeah, I don’t think HY left him by his choice. 😅 why did he try to leave the house? He only rented an apartment because he too was feeling small living in a house that wasn’t his. Also maybe because it would make Sun-oh uncomfortable with him dating Jojo. But it didn’t mean he wanted to stop being friends with Sun-oh. He didn’t have ill feelings with him. It was the other way around. 😊
However, I do think it was a good touch that they still gave Sun-oh maturity towards the last episode with his relationship with his mom, how he finally accepted the truth about Jojo and how he treated Yukjo. 👍🏼
