I really love the CPL24 v2's improvement especially there is now more organization for the front pocket, but my v1 still works very well which makes me simply cannot justify to a buy v2.
It is listed with slightly larger dimensions on the Evergoods website, in each dimension (though I didn't notice any difference just by watching the comparison!)
My v1 (2019) has the old sternum strap but the upgraded key clip. Kind of wish they'd replaced the key clip with o-rings a la Tom Bihn so that we could choose where to put it (or leave it out).
I’ve read a few comments from taller users that the 24l version has a tendency to focus its weight at the bottom of the bag wedging into the user’s back. As someone taller than 6’ did you have any such issues?
Does the black fabric lose color after some time? I've seen some older goruck gr1 models look less black over time I remember Tom mentioned the same in a video) and I wanted ask if you've noticed that with the Evergoods v1 and if you think the same would happen with the v2? I love the aesthetic of the 24l v2 bag, plus it fixes all my issues with the v1 but I might wait for the grey version because I think that might age better than the black.
I have no earthly clue, WHY, you would move a perflectly placed keyclip so you can swing and open doors, to the efffffffffffing top pocket where now I would have to take off the whole pack. im so aggrevated over stupid decisions like this just cant take it.

Just bought a V1 used (once) for $100, so while I'm a bit miffed and loving the V2 changes, I'm still gonna love the bag.

Does the v1 fit a 17" laptop?
