- Toyota Motors Philippines recently announced that they will be bringing back the Tamaraw FX! This model was once very popular among Filipino families and business owners. I think this model made triggered the SUV segment that is now very popular.
Let's revisit what a Tamaraw FX is. My mechanic Mang Rolly who has been my go-to guy for more than 12 years now, and has also become my friend, has a 1996 Tamaraw FX. I am fortunate enough that he spared me some time to interview him and run a quick road test.

The reason why these vehicles last so long is because of Toyotas build quality of making components stronger than the actual vehicle. These trucks are de-tuned with such low horsepower and torque than these engines are actually capable of that they just last forever . They weren't built to be race cars but dependable everyday transportation.

Astig since 2009 pa kay tatay yung tamaraw after 13 years from 1st owner. Sana not >700k yung 2024 model. 🙏
medyo impossibleng >700k ang 2024 model lalo kung passenger version dahil by the time na na-phase out ang Adventure and Crosswind, nasa 800k+ na ang GLX and XT variants nila respectively. most likely below 1M yan pero sa tingin ko kayang ipresyo ng Toyota ang Tamaraw FX below sa price ng Avanza E.

Ours still running too 25yrs. I wish Toyota will bring back as in the same fx ,as in same fx just FI, infotech, cruise control. A few facelift only. Luv the face of fx is like JEEP.
Wow galing 25yrs! Based on what I read last February, Toyota will bring it back, pero will make it affordable daw, knowing Toyota, they are not very aggressive in adding techs in their models, madalas late sila maglabas ng mga bagong features, they focus more on the build quality. Said the new Tamaraw will have a Euro5 engine but that's about it.

@@TeamDyTV correct parang Ganyan na nga mangyayari. Yung new model na LiteAce makina ng Veloz Avanza at Rush ang ginamit na makina. At Euro 4 engine.

Could have been perfect with the period correct plates in my opinion. The new plates just dont look bagay on old cars. They just destroyed the sould and character of the car.

131K ang Odometer po niya. At meron dalawang Gas Engine ang nilabas ng FX. Isang 1.5 na 5K ENGINE AT isang 7K 1.8 ENGINE . 😁
