You arr so correct. People do not realize that all processed food is xrayed before the label goes on the can. The companies do this to check for "foreign" objects in the food. We are now eating food with lower nutrients and xrayed and we wonder why we are seeing more illness and allergies.

The date of this video is the week after I closed on my acre property and started homesteading. To alleviate some of my mental stress from the current state of the world, I started canning a whole bunch of stuff. You are such an inspiration!

Am impressed with how much you know! Yes, we are our own worst enemy when it comes to food. People in the city don't support small farms when they buy from the corporation, yet farms surround many cities.... GMO is not healthy for us as the corporations continues to remove healthcare for us and I'm waiting for people to become conscious and active against what is harming them.
And pressure can weeds with your garden veggies. They are loaded with nutrients compared to what we grow, look it up.
Lol, and my doctor just told me today to stay away from coffee as it could be causing the feeling of a pulse behind the breastbone, I overdo coffee... Thought I better comment now before I become too owly:) Love you and your sis!

Olive Leaf Extract controls Blood pressure with no side effects.
Diatomaceous Earth will clean out arteries, detox ya and the food grade is safe to consume, it works great in the garden to kill bugs and fleas on pets without poison. It is good to put in the chicken nesting boxes too and the stuff isn't very expensive.
Also if you sprout oats which is non gmo, you will cut your feed bill by quite a bit. I sprout it in a 5 gallon bucket, the chickens love it and its great in the winter to supply greens for the chickens.
Hope the info can help ya out

Another great video jnull! We "pushed" a friend into growing a garden this year by gifting her several tomato plants, 40 lincoln pea plants and 50 green beans lol. We told her we over planted our seedlings and had extra. Now she is having a blast with it.

You are so right. One thing I have noticed is that many of the heirloom seeds are sold out. No kidding, already sold out, so it will become much more important to save your seeds if this continues to happen. It happened last year too! Canning jars have gone crazy in price, and you can't find them everywhere like you use to be able to either. The cost of wood has risen in the last week. Some 4x8 sheets have increased over $10.00 each!! The cost of a shed I wanted to build is much higher now!

hoorah, stealth prepping, getting your neighbors to be gardeners is the best form of prepping, you get more with honey then vinager. I get alot of interest here lately, the whole place is planting now, and it took me four years to get them planting. After the storm last year they started coming around and asking questions. Peace be with all.

I agree the quality of food is really going down. my wife bough some family size cans of peas and carrots a couple of weeks ago. they looked ok and tasted ok but my poop was bright green for a few days after that. they had to have dyed the peas green but I did not see any dye listed on the ingredients. just goes to show how sorry the food is getting when you have to dye it for it to look appeasing enough to eat. I got some of my garden planted as small as it is but better than nothing.

Very good points J Null as usual. Here is an interesting fact, the Governments economic brainchildren do not include food or gas prices when it comes to reporting on inflation! We call that "cooking" the books where I am from! I DISAGREE WITH YOU on the fact it does not take a special person to make bread....mine always comes out subpar, thank God I can garden, hunt and fish!

If you can find some local painters in your area thay are a good resource for buckets. Carwashes get their chemicals in 5, 10, 25, 45 and 55 gallon containers. They may be another source for you to check on. Good luck!

I agree with you about raising your own foods. I've been wanting to put in a bucket garden, (I rent) but can't find any 5 gal buckets here in Joplin. I don't have the money to buy the buckets and we can't put in raised beds in our back yard, (owner said nope).

Good talk. We've always been very guarded about registrations for anything from guns to dogs to how much money we actually have to medical info. I work in animal rescue a lot. Even there we list mixed breeds honestly but with whatever the less "negative" breed is. Far too many people register their good pet pit bulls or dobermans without thinking and that's the first place animal control goes if they pass any legislation banning those dogs-not to the ones who are actually creating a problem.

poultry has a turnaround of about 3 months. pork has a turn around of around 9 months. beef has a turnaround of around 18 months. Many cattle and pork feedlots got rid of their livestock because they didnt have pasture or grain for feed. It has started to rain in a normal interval up here where we had drounght last year. As long as we have a normal season this one and next year beef and pork prices will steady out. But they will always be higher than they were before the rise

if you suffer trauma, the ER is obligated to STABILIZE you. that may include rather extensive treatment. however, if you are sick and the ER determines, God forbid, you have cancer for example, the ER probably is not going to give you ongoing treatment. you will be referred probably to an oncologist and your regular doctor.
that you do not need insurance because the ER has to treat you is very dangerous thinking

You are correct about what's going on.
It's a crazy vicious cycle we're living in.
The cost of corn to feed the animals for food and the cost of fuel is nuts.
The affordable health care/Obamacare is still fuzzy where I live, Michigan.

Mr. John, this video is 6 years old but the message is as true today as it was back in 2013. Only difference is now we can look back and see how things played out. I am so fed up with insurance. When my husband started his social security he was made to take out a supplemental insurance even though he didn't need it. He is retired military and a veteran and his medical care is 100% covered but now we are going on 9 years paying $130. a month for insurance we have never filed a claim on - don't even know what the insurance company name is. It's a ponzi scam. Just another way to redistribute money from people. I don't know how young people just starting out are gonna make it if their families don't help them. I see more people pooling resources and buying in bulk to get a cheaper price. The idea of 2nd hand is totally acceptable today. But what burns me the most is the number of people working 2 or 3 part time jobs with no benefits and still struggling just to keep their head above water. The government keeps saying things are getting better and maybe for some it is. But, for the majority of those I see times ain't getting any easier. In my opinion, we did not go through a tough time that would end, we went through a tough time where we, if we are smart, learned new skills to take care of ourself because tough times are here to stay for as long as I can see. ~Sherrie in South Carolina

You nailed it. A nation state. Conformity or confinement. Collectivism not formed by private volunteerism by individuals freely associating. Collectivism formed by the state for control. No individualism allowed. This is why we always saw the old pictures of Communist China and Russia where the citizens all wore the same color gray clothing. No room for imagination or inspiration. Sad to witness this self destruction.
