I hate it when I'm like playing a flight simulator on my phone or mentioning something aviation related, everyone's like oh ur gonna do 9/11. I'm like NO, no why does everyone think of a terrorist attack done by a few retards when they hear about airplanes. Its been a long time. People moved on, and yes it was a tragedy, but like seriously why can't people accept that just because someone wants to be a pilot, they won't become a radical terrorist.

I'm 25 as a pilot and just a heads up if you people always talk about "memes" you will definitely not get in as you have to have a certain percentage of maturity.
I fly an HS125 back home in MEX, last week we just went to Los Cabos and San Diego.. I love everything about it.. We go Shopping, go to nice places, take a rest and when the customer wants to go back we are ready for them.. So its basically like a holiday with pay haha.. Of course wasnt easy to be here took a lot of relations.. In my case took me 4 months from school to Corporate.. Thanks again for that awesome video..!!

This was a very enjoyable and interesting video. I take it you flew commercial from your home to another airport, flew what looks like a Gulfstream the next morning to Kona Hawaii, then turned around and flew right back home commercial? No layover for return flight? One HELL of a lot of commuting and traveling involved ... but still an enviable life, though not as "glamorous" as most people may think, not to mention the very stressful, difficult, and expensive training, experience, achieving the various type certificates and being certified on the aircraft.... and everything else that goes into doing what you do. As a musician I feel it's much the same... seems cool, and it's great those few hours on stage, but the many many many more hours spent practicing and rehearsing and all the other "drudgery" behind it is the part many people aren't aware of.
Steve, as an old pilot, I truly appreciate the procedures update (any & all details appreciated). Coffee, Ice, Newspapers, part of FBO monthly charges? Pretty nice service, things have improved and are more complex. Thanks again, cheers, sharktoothhoundog
Four years ago, I was another 15 year old who wanted to jump on the “I’m becoming a pilot” bandwagon. I’m proud to say that at 19, I’m at 250 hours of flight time, and have my Commercial ASEL rating with IFR. Hopefully the economy improves by the time I’m 21, as I’m looking to get to the airlines as soon as I’m old enough to. To anyone else who’s reading this, dreams do come through and it’s all about following them to make it happen.

Jason Winter You will do well in achieving a position in one of the finest professions. I can tell by the tone of your message you have the determination to succeed. All the best!
Great video! But before everyone gets to thinking that this is a great life (and as a Pilot myself I can honestly say it is a great life) you must consider something that is unsaid I this video. Pilots are paid per Flight Hour or per Flight Day. What does that mean? Well for example, if the pilot here gets paid $100 per Flight Hour and the flight was only 4 hours, then the pilot's total pay is only $400 for this entire trip. It used 3 full days of time to only earn $400. Then, if there is no more flying for another week...... well then this pilots entire 2 week pay check is only $400! As glamorous a life as pilots have (remember that I am one and wouldn't trade it for anything) remember that it is not always so. Just go into aviation with your mind seeing everything, and it is the best.
All us pilots, and "This Pilot" listen to Derek Trucks Band 'I'd rather be blind cripple and crazy' that'll get rid of that headache and put you in the mood for flying...
+ padraigjohnson On the Hawaii runs, do all the planes carry extra fuel in case (at halfway point) you have to throttle-back/lose an engine; and fly at lower altitude to make it to Hawaii or return to the mainland?
The plane has lots of fuel, most times we don't even fill it up. Calculations are made prior to oceanic crossings and takes into account where your time point where you would continue ahead or turn back and still have enough with one engine inoperative or if decompression, to fly at a low altitude with increased fuel consumption and still make it to a appropriate airport .
I'm 15, and I'm dreaming to be an airline pilot! I'm already going for PPL license! I've already flown an aeroplane before in an aerobatic flight for air force cadets!
