One of the best movies ever. Denzel should have won an Oscar.
I agree
Unexpected, wrongful termination is one of the most outrageous, soul demolishing things that can happen to a human being
That's why you need to work for yourself.

Not really. Has the added benefit of having yourself be the maker of your own destiny without being subjected to the whims of others (many of whom are malicious and/or incompetent).@@ImperialDecree
@@tylerdurden8378 Okayyyy... So what profession or service would I be able to generate or provide that can generate me millions of dollars or a substantial amount of money to survive in this world?
@@ImperialDecree I have no idea about your ability or skill set.
It was such a brilliant decision to have the actors talk to the camera. It makes the scenes so much more personal and up close. Forces us to confront our fears and biases about things we dont understand. When I first watched this movie, it made me cringe so hard, I was just a teen. I watched it again in college and all I could feel was sadness.
That's a trait of Tak Fujimoto's cinematography that I really appreciate. I remember the same being done in The Silence of the Lambs.
I first saw it as a teenager. I thought I was gonna wake up the next day with lesions across my face. I really thought that.
Me when someone would cough during the pandemic. 0:52
The same right hand that Denzel used in their greeting handshake is the same hand he used while taking an antacid tablet.
Those camera shots of Andrew touching things in his office. Its so well done because that is exactly how you'd react inside. This movie is kinda uncomfortable, how firm and rotten it all went for him.
I really love Philadelphia. I'm going through a similar situation that Andy went through. Although I can count my blessings that I am not dying from aids.
Please tell me you weren't dismissed for having autism?
Unless you are coming in for a job interview a bunch of folks lined across a table from you like that is bad news.
i forgot how ignorant he was in the beginning and how he grows throughout the film. I havent seen this in decades.
Great movie 🍿❤
What a beautiful movie! Unfortunately, everything around a huge ball, the Aids...
