I never made it here, but essentially it's the same as the other maxes. However, the CO's in Attica will kill you! They will anywheres but never dealt with that type level of aggression in Elmira, 5 points, Aurburn, Greenhaven, etc etc. Tho Wyoming , a medium literally next door to Attica, has same type CO'S. Wyoming was one wild medium tho, caught a new one in there, then went to 5 points. Never seen another medium again. Honestly I was glad too. Believe it or not, the max is better living, & more due to the conduct of the prisoners. Dudes are all loose with the mouth, their actions, etc etc, forget where they at too many times in mediums &/or minimums. In the max dudes get checked real fast if they start to slip & forget where they at. And if they lucky, they definitely don't forget again! This is cuz there are REAL consequences of any actions! You learn fast how to conduct yourself like a man! Or possibly die.

Is there another option, you always have a choice, but self defense is a survival tactic..... Life throws curve balls.....
you get fresh air? where do you live?
Go tell ur story on @lockdown23and1
That's a FACT
Been to : Elmira, Groveland, Hudson, Sing Sing , Auburn, Wendy, Coxsackie, Mt. McGregor, Watertown and Downstate
Ye that's true in the United kingdom medium jails more wild than category A exactly
What gangs are in there ?
As a former C.O I can contest prison sucks ass. It’s the most negative environment you can possibly put you’re self in!!!Norhing but a baby sitting job where you get verbally harassed and sometimes physically .
Are you in the USA?

That officer folding the clothes is an absolute gentleman

Neatest search I ever seen😭😭😭😭😂😂🤣🤣🤣
That was a 100% for the camera! There’s no way they search 70-80 cells as it said they do on a daily basis as he was doing they most likely tore them cells apart like they do now a days I spent 18 months in prison and I’ve seen real search’s
San Quentin in marin ca is are sing sing on the bay. Westblock was there 3xs. Old pen .

i like how dude answered the question about officers selling weapons to the convicts .. you can tell it made him uneasy but he didn't waffle .. he gave it straight
Weapons no, drugs yes. They use it as a tool to get rid of lifers.
Maaan, that prison looks old skool. Like it's stuck in a time warp, from the days when they used to fry inmates in the electric chair
Stay Free..
It was built 100+years ago 1st jail the second is around 100 years old most of the max jails in n.y are 100 or more years old Auburn bein the oldest depressed decrepit dungeons filthy and hopeless free all oppressed people

When the C.O tossed the cell notice how respectful he handled the inmates clothing. Respect goes along way. On both sides.

I’m a retired NYS CO. I started my career at Sing Sing in “95”. In fact, I remember working with some of the people in this video. I don’t know what Sing Sing is like now…But when I started, that place was a freaking zoo…complete and total chaos!!
You should do a podcast and share.

Prisoner: This fuckiong jail sucks
me: No shit it's prison.
I grew up about half an hour north of the prison. I do remember when we called it Sing Sing. Now I believe they call it the Ossining Correctional Facility. BORING!! I prefer Sing Sing. As you can see, the train to and from New York City actually passes right through the prison. However, all you see from the train are a couple of watch towers and then a gray wall.
I lived IN Ossining 1 block away! Lmao fr tho Yea the train goes thru like u said! It's the Harlem Line! And the 14 Bus drives right by it literally passes the "front door" so to speak lol
@@kevinkelly5569 I thought that was a train I saw in the beginning. Yall confirmed it. That's kinda wild that the train and bus pass so close.

@@ladyruler9585 question,,, do homosexuals look at prison differently? I mean imagine being locked in prison with hundreds and hundreds of sex starved women. Doesn’t seem so bad does it.? Yeah, I’ve got no plans on going to prison. I just had a rotten day at work and wanted to vent.
Your doing better than them.
Every time I went to prison I worked and took some type of class to prepare to enter society with a job when I came home never hung out with guys that acted like they were still on the streets
Very very scary place . YIKES 😬
I couldn't do this job, it would be difficult to not 'friend' or be 'friendly' with some of the inmates. I understand that is basically a "no no," my point is, I would have a hard time with it.
I can't believe what I just watched.

It's amazing we treat non violent crimes so harshly. No wonder they get out and never learn to live normally.
Drugs aren’t really non-violent crimes though most crime centers around drugs and alcohol

HOW U THINK A 100YR OLD PRISON GON LOOK? LIKE ITS 100YRS OLD...
I've done time in New York and when there's no camera a cell search is called tossing the cell cause thats what they do, toss it! Everything is all mixed up and thrown on the bed .
I grew up in that town and I went to visit that prison there not tell you the truth about prison life I just did 7yrs in Texas at le Blanc unit in Beaumont tx you need to do something about teaxs prisons
how dumb did you have to be to get caught for a crime in the 1830s? like you must've had to be caught totally red handed otherwise what methods did they actually have to catch you?
Haha ya I've always thought of that. They must of been lazy criminals.
@@Liefvikerson apparently in ancient china they would put rice in a suspects mouth and if the rice stuck to the roof of his mouth than he must've been nervous and hiding something therefore guilty lol,
@@parkjungmoon694 Are you serious?? So if they just denied the person water for half a day or less he'd most likely be guilty?? Lol that's crazy but times were a lot different back then. The older you go back the harder everything seemed
Yeah, coppers would chase you with a billy club and a whistle.
Lol you right they probably caught the dumb criminals. I know from experience I never got caught from crimes when I was younger and that was cause I was smart. I bet a lot of people got away with crime in those days but ppl still getting away in todays time so thats not suprising.
My father spent 366 days here in the 70s. He told me some stories. It was interesting to see where he was at. He returned very bitter after prison. He was sent there for a Rock-Fella drug conviction. He tried to get the sentence removed up to 2yrs before he passed.
What housing would he have been in for first time offender, less then 1gram coke sale?
Probably death row with how easy they dole out bullshit sentences
