Hello, the range is a bit more than 320 km with 17 liters of gas. I have weighted my PR7 with full gazoline, aluminium crashbar and a back package holder: 168 kg wich is approx 370 lbs. ✌️from France.
Jimmy must’ve been pinned the whole time. My buddy was at my house yesterday with same bike and has over 2k miles on it and hasn’t gotten less than 52mpg. BTW he weighs 260lbs. I rode it 3 days ago and really liked it. Super stable and did great in the sand.
Good stuff, cool you liked it. I have the SWM Superdual 650 that motor comes out of (which was a husqvarna TE630 before that), I've also ridden Lendon's (Seat Concepts) AJP PR7 and loved it. BTW that frame is Aluminum (not composite) and CroMo. I've had several of the smaller AJPs and they are solid, fun and great little bikes. I have a 2024 SMW RS300R now. BTW SWM used to make a RS650R that was a lot like a XR650R with EFI, hydro clutch, E-start etc.
Super interesting take on the PR7. You say it's a little heavy, which I found interesting, since it's super light compared to most adventure bikes. So, what is your point of reference for calling it heavy? Enduro bikes or...?
Sounds like it could have been great...but low quality makes for a let down. Sounds like a massive gas hog too. Atrocious mileage out of a 4 gallon tank. I'll take my DR650.
Glad you're reviewing this bike and look forward to your full and complete qualified review.

Thanks for the correction. When I heard that, he got about 100 miles with a 4 gallon tank, I was already disappointed
@@ferkuzuel pure offroad racing 100-120 miles is about right. on road i can get a little over 200 miles of range.

Nice to see a dual sport sold with a comfortable seat and a decent tank.
I think this is an interesting bike. I had an XR650R, and really enjoyed it, and wondered how the PR7 would compare. Looking forward to your thoughts.
Would love to see a review of the AJP SPR lineup
Excellent review!!!!
I think this is a great comparison. Thanks.
How does it compare to the old XR650R in the important areas? Suspension, geometry, riding position, etc..
Like we said. Very Similar
What a pity there isn’t a standard bike now with a big useful tank like this XR.
i wanna se a test of the 'Gold' model with the Ohlins suspension
Thoughts on this vs. the Kove 450 Rally for TAT and BDR type stuff?
Same question here!
Anyone?
How much for the XR?
4K.

My dream bike but they can’t get it street legal certified in North America
Odd, normally people get ~300+ km per 17L tank.. and it's a 600 cc SWM (former Husqvarna-Cagiva engine series) engine, not SMW..
Price point for AJP?
In Europe around 12000€. (48hr or 61hp)
💯
No human is worthy of the mighty XR.
So not street legal?
Correct. Some states you can get it certified
What economy didn't get out out of 4.5 gallons of gas? Just over a hundred miles!!??
Johnson Station
Antonetta Trace
Metz Wells
170km to 4 gallons?
Freight trains do better than that😂😂😂😂
ride a T7 for a month, then hop on the PR7 and see if you complain about the weight.
