I literally fixed my grandma's TV that is the same model as that one like a month ago xD
It had a faulty power supply. $35 of ebay I think
Also the question is, is the TV at 100kv or the wire?

100kV until its shorted.

The TV is at 50kV to gnd and so is the wire. They're out of phase 180° so it's 100kV between the two. Hope this helps

Nope, nothing popped. Mains cord was actually just fine. Not much amperage to do anything to it.
