Well bugger me, I just watched Stoney Ridge Farmer do a Spatchcock Chicken and thought it would be great if you did one, and Bam! There it is! Definitely going to do my next chook this way on the Webber kettle.
Mate that colour looks incredible with your steak rub and I know how amazing it is on chicken. Smoked and bbqed chicken is just so so good!! Love your work mate
Another fantastic video. I love your video lengths. Perfect. It’s just a bonus for me that I use a Bronco too. I learned heaps watching your simple setups. Keep it up mate. Morn Pen Sheds
Love your videos mate. Been watching since you started UA-cam. Would love to see a video using this drum smoker to make pizza. I have a Weber kettle and the masterbuilt gravity. Time for the final piece of my collection and I’m torn between a komado Joe and a drum. Price is the reason I’m looking at the drum but the pizzas out of the komado Joe are unreal so might have to cough up sadly lol. Do you think this drum smoker could be as good doing pizzas?
Funny this come out today. I’ve got a chicken to do on the OJB today myself. Did chicken wings last night at 350F, but think I may have needed to go hotter to get it perfectly crispy. Nice work mate
Great video! Man that rub looks good. Tried ordering it online through the link you provided, said it had no shipping options available. Let them know they are loosing sales.
@@craig9069 unfortunately it's only available in Australia. I'm trying to figure out a cost effective way to ship to the US. At the moment you'd pay double or triple the price of the rub in postage and would take weeks or even months to get there.
@@LownSlowBasics figure it out my friend. That website has a lot of Interesting items I'd love to try out, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. Keep those informative videos coming. Best of luck.
Excellent demo & recipe Most of the time I use this method (375℉) with a slight variation: the chickens are cut in half and hung on the rods which allows me to easily cook 4 to 5 chickens (on the smaller Bronco). The flavor from the drippings hitting the hot diffuser plate is like no other.
Hey mate, I’m very new to bbq I’ve got a bullet smoker and have been using lump charcoal. Do you have a preference between that and the briquettes and if so why? P.s love the videos especially nice to get some good aussie content on bbq

Thanks mate 😃
Really love your videos! Keep them coming please!
appreciate you mate!

Thank you! Been wanting a chicken video ever since you did the beer can chook
Oh nice, here you go 😝
Just cooked a chicken as per this…. so good!
One of the best ways to smoke a chook, how juicy are they when smoked
Nice video man! I like the color you got on that chicken! I like air drying the chicken, it usually helps to get the skin crispy. Cheers brother 🍻
Thanks mate!

Awesome as always mate and thanks for the content. Where did you get that knife from and what other hanging tools do you have on your drum ?
Thanks mate! It's the Dalstrong Crixus. Either Amazon or dalstrong.com. it's the spatula, cleaning tool and tongs :)
Random question mate what kind of BBQ is that? We just have standard ones in the UK.

Oh really!? Where abouts are you located?
@@LownSlowBasics East coast, United States. Just tried again same results. Keep saying there are no shipping options available.

Got my bird on as we speak👍🏼
Very nice 🔥
Looks bloody delicious. I like to put butter between the skin and the meat on the breast too.
I'll try that next time! 🔥
Could swear I was smelling it when you opened the lid to take it off the grill.
Such a good smell 🔥
