The phone's wifi chip doesn't support monitor mode for a high chance and also about your phone being rooted and having an wifi adaptor i also have the same and I still couldn't figure it out that how to use wifi , if you found a way please also tell me too

i found a way im using it myself with intern chip AAAND i can use external wifi adaptor it needs a Special Chip there are only a few adaptors that have them

you have to load the module by using insmod command
