Mr. Thompson, I purchased two of them. They are beyond reproach. Thank you for staying with us. I've collected your blades since the inception of Cold Steel in 1980 when I was 25 years old. My heartfelt thanks, sir!
I recently bought a knife from you guys and I gotta say it changed my life forever I am not afraid of going outside at night anymore thank you for theese strong and reliable knives.
Carrying a knife while having no idea how to use it is more dangerous than knowing how to handle situations and not having one. Make sure you go to some sort of classes
@@josephmarquis4561 😂 yeah that'll work in the majority of cases. I more meant like the mental aspect of being prepared for a violent confrontation, how to de-escalate, how to fight if you get disarmed ect
Cold Steel has been my go-to place for blades for the past three decades. I started with a Trailmaster, moved on to a Recon Scout, then the Kitchen series; got hooked on the Special Forces Shovel for my camping/survival gear (now I also have the Trench Shovel too), and others I've forgotten (several were stolen years ago). The Spartan looks like a fabulous tool for a variety of tasks.
Just purchased 4 of these bad boys. I want my people to have this massive knife to bring to the knife fight. Reminds me of a combat style in a folding knife. Not many knives can achieve this.
The Spartan by Cold Steel has always been my favorite. It’s my everyday carry. Just love the shape of the blade and the handle and the sheer strength the lock has. Great job this new version looks insane. Thank you Lynn for producing this awesome knife.
What an amazing guy Lyn is! I wish I could spend a day at his ranch talking about baldes! And the Spartan, hands down one of my favourite CS designs! The signature line just takes it to a whole new level. I wish I could afford it!
As a collector and user, I own a lot of CS, and I’m very proud to own these because they are knives you can take seriously under extreme situations. I still carry other brands I enjoy, but if I had to bet my life on a knife, it would be a CS with a triad lock.
I've always liked the Spartan. The overall look of it open has great shape and style. A true one of a kind that no other knife manufacturers are even trying to copy. The CS serrations pattern is absolutely the best serrations on a knife I've ever seen! The s35vn makes it worth every penny! Great job CS! I'll be buying (hopefully winning) this one for sure.
I met Mr. Thompson at one of the first SHOT shows he had a booth in. I was a young sales rep, and he was the new guy ticking off all the established knife industry with his very vocal, well documented challenges on durability and bang for your buck. How they all howled! The "Proof" hurt, and successfully established a great source of tough, practical SHARP stuff, in so many models, and always at an amazing price point! A well-worn and much traveled Vaquero Grande still partners with my 640 S&W for EDC, and many more Cold Steel offerings can be found around our deep swamp homestead. Hats off to the man for seeing a need and so capably filling it.
The Spartan is my favorite Cold Steel folder blade. I have an exceptional collection, and I love them all. However, the Spartan is my all-time favorite folder.
I own the regular spartan but my absolute favorite knife and one that I carry daily is the full serrated black talon 2 that thing is an absolute monster of a knife I like all the cold steel products have been a customer of cold steel since the late 90's
I bought this is many other Cold Steel knives. The Lynn Thompson Signature Series offerings are among my favorites. Though the serrations are a bit tiny, they work and are maintainable (I use the Lansky Cold Steel Pocket Sharpener, which is inexpensive and available on Amazon).
I've been a Cold Steel fan for almost 30 years. I love big knives. ❤️ I jumped out of the Cold Steel fan club since Stick started but he had been growing on me the last 6 months. He has really humbled himself and paid Lynn some deference lately. The 6 inch serrated Vaquero Grande folder has been my EDC, right pocket, for ALMOST that entire time, going on 30 years. I started with Cold Steel on the 4 inch Tanto folder, moved up to the 5 inch Vaquero non serrated. When the guy I was buying knives from got the Vaquero Grande I immediately started drooling, pulled out cash and took it home. I've had 4 of them in my 30 years. Only have 1 left (not including the boot Desperado)with the Rajah ll, in my left pocke,t EDC since March 2020.
Thank you for the time you put into these great ColdSteel videos. And much love 🖤 to the ColdSteel family 🤘⚔️🤘That Spartan is one bad ass looking unit 👌😍 hope all is🙏 well StickMan! ✌️✌️
Mine is in the mail, and should be here within the week! This will be my fourth (Spartan) in my collection! I totally love Cold Steel Folding Knives, especially the Large & XL ones! 🔪
Every video I see of Mr Thompson I can't help but be amazed at how involved this man is with his products and how much knowledge and expertise he possesses. I'd honestly be surprised if there is even a single item they produce that he does not know everything about.
It looks amazing ! Love your work guys, your knives re so pleasant to use, not even talking about sharpness ! Cold Steel to le is the true meaning of sharpness
Love my Spartan. Used it as a makeshift machete during a mountain rescue once while a guy was intoxicated about to fall 100 feet and it did not let me down. Cut through thick vines, briars, and saplings easy.
Love the design of this knife, particularly the "enclosed" grip. Lynn did a top job on this one !!! Liked, shared and Subscribed, similarly to the famous Patek Philippe slogan reads “You never really own a Lynn Thompson Signature Spartan Knife. You simply look after it for the next generation." It would be a dream of mine to "look after" one if these beautiful knvives and hand it down to my sons....
Lynn Thompson is a legend! I hated to see his line go to a sportsman type distributor…but I understand… sometimes you just gotta walk away. Hope we see more of his vids… in future.
The Spartan is one of the best carry knives I have ever felt. I saw the gray handled model and had to have it. Wished I could have afforded this version as I love G10 for handle material; its as tough as they say, and green is my favorite color. Cold Steel has become my favorite EDC knife brand, they have something special no matter the season or the wardrobe required for your day.
I bought the Rajah 2 at the old ventura location. I've been eye balling the spartan for a long time. Ventura remembers ! CS was my favorite store to visit
Never met a Cold Steel blade that I didn't love. It's about 30 years now! I've always wanted a smaller Kukri about the size of this Sparta. Now looks like a good time.
I love Cold Steel, but I'd like to see more serrated versions. I've got dozens of knives, both brand new. I also love the old, beautifully polished Voyagers (AUS8A and VG1). I wish CS would ditch the stone washed finish and go back to polishing, and as much as I love Andy Demko’s tri-ad lock, it adds a bit of weight to the knives that have it. My favorite knives are the old _Voyager_ 6-inch AUS8A and _Vaquero Grande_ 6-inch serrated knife. I'm glad I have a drawer full of the old knives, which haven't cut so much as a piece of thin dental floss! And my EDC self defense knife is a 6-inch Ti-Lite Kriss-blade w/a serrated edge! The Ti-Lite is great because, even with the blade retracted, it is a great weapon, especially where brass knuckles are against the law. Vertically and horizontally, top and bottom, the knife is vicious and beautiful. Still affordable, too.
Hey, I carry the 6 inch serrated kris ti lite too! It's such a wicked pocket sword. I'm ashamed to admit, sometimes I just carry it and pepper spray and leave my j frame or lcp at home...
@@Love_lily-p1o » Yes, it's my favorite carry knife. The kris design with the serrated edge makes it a formidable weapon. My next favorite is the older Cold Steel Vaquero Grande. The first time I saw it I couldn't believe what I was looking at. One guy who worked at a surplus store biked to work through a bad area. He routinely carried the Vaquero Grande with him to work at the night shift. The store was selling them for $129 and that was back then. I paid $70 for mine via the Internet.
I recently purchased one of your japanese style swords and I was very impressed by the overall quality. I wll surely be buying more in the near future.
The spartan is one of my favorites, works extra hard in an efficient way, whether it's opening envelopes or chopping down four inch thick trees, with little effort. The serrated signature one looks wicked and nightmarish. That would be an awesome addition to any collection.
Copied and sent via messenger, I really want one of those, I was impressed by the cutting power of the knife and the strength of the G10. That knife should last a lifetime
Spartan is a great knife I have one of the original models in aus8 it’s probably close to 10 years old and it’s still works perfect and it’s been put through hell , the signature series Spartan is awesome, great video
The price tag is the only reason I haven't bought one yet. Been collecting Spartans for years now, I think it's the best folding knife ever. Haven't found anything yet that it can't handle easily.
Awesome knife (I own several Spartans) but I’ve got an issue….I bought one of the DLC coated 3V master tanto and a pair of tactical gloves over a week ago and the gloves arrived today but the knife has not even shipped out yet someone at cold steel please help. 🤙🏼
Love the Spartan. Got the 1st gen. It's my edc ever since. Flat grind and S35VN sounds cool. You guys should include a link to the shop; people are lazy . .
I don't have much luck when it comes to winning things but I sure hope I win this great knife!! Great job on this video keep up the great work you are doing!
An absolute beast, I have carried a normal spartan for years now especially when going hiking or back packing and it has chopped some small trees down. Interested to see what kind of damage these serrations do.
Mr. Thompson, I purchased two of them. They are beyond reproach. Thank you for staying with us. I've collected your blades since the inception of Cold Steel in 1980 when I was 25 years old. My heartfelt thanks, sir!
I just got this knife. Man, I didn't know his blades go that far back . That's cool
Good to see Lynn in good shape and giving a (needed) endorsement to (some) of CS actual products.

I love seeing Lynn in Cold Steel videos, that is great he still signs the signature series. Excellent throwing Sticks!
$100 @ midway right now el cap 😮, good deal .
Love some Cold Steel. Good to see Lynn doing this video and I like the Stick throws just about every knife before the video ends. so cool.
Thank you very much for this knife, Sir! I'm a proud owner. This is the finest Cold Steel knife so far and even with Your signature!

An iconic knife with Lynns signature! Wow!

Is $249.99 a sale price or the new MSRP? I hope the latter, because even with G-10 & S35VN $400 was a lot to ask.
I need one of these! Hate I missed the boat as a new collector!
I like kabars, but I'm starting to love all of the cold steel blades!
great knife. 😎
