Clasicamente eterno bravo dave !!! Donde estés debes estar haciendo buena musica, el sonido de esta grabacion es realmente excelente . Gracias Dave ....
So glad I stumbled onto this, thanks! I've been a big fan of Dave's for decades, seen him many times, but I've not heard this live recording before. Also never seen that photo of him before. Dave has always IMO been an under-rated singer/songwriter, probably guitarist, too. I can listen to Dave for days on end, and I often have. Just pure talent.
This is a great performance, great sound quality. Dave Mason at his best. He is a master of the guitar, and has a certain style that seperates him from others. Thanks for posting.
@justgivemethetruth It's called jammin. Thats one reason we who love music go to concerts. Live music and Jammin.....perfect night. Hell they could go 20 more minutes on this and I'd be happy!
I've always admired his guitar work. He's not Alvin Lee but you shouldn't have to always be a speed merchant to be considered a great guitarist. Anyway, he's plenty fast enough. And he always brings his very distinctive voice with him.
Dave is like David Gilmour. Doesn't need speed in the least! Just plain great melody! According to many polls throughout the years (along with music and guitar magazine ratings, other famous guitarist's opinions, and so forth), David Gilmour's solo in 'Comfortably Numb' is considered to be the best rock guitar solo of all time. It's not Guthrie Govan, Joe Satriani, Alan Holdsworth, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, etc.- but who cares? Their solos won't be remembered because they're mostly fast: impressive, (even brilliant 'technically' sometimes), but generally, a fast flurry of notes for the most part, nevertheless. It's solos like Dave Mason's, Jeff Beck's, David Gilmour's and so on, (where the melody is what matters), that will live on, and be remembered, forever!
Anybody know where to buy these XM Radio concerts.Dave is such an under-rated guitarist.Even Stevie Winwood agrees and of course Jimi and he were close friends.
Saw him live three times between 1978 and 2008. Never disappointed....seemed to get better with age.
Dave is simply the best !!
One of the most powerful solos ever. This guy is in my top 5 players.
I love that guitar break...............gorgeous smooth guitar licks
So good,this guy
Ive seen Dave and Band many times but not recently....Great live
Played the the hell out of this record back in the day & it's as great as ever, maybe even better!!!
Clasicamente eterno bravo dave !!! Donde estés debes estar haciendo buena musica, el sonido de esta grabacion es realmente excelente . Gracias Dave ....
A true original pioneer from the 60's and 70's. A classic voice, tune, and time ~

Wow. What a fabulous version. From the Rodney Dangerfield of AOR.

on LP best E.Clapton solo ever (on Coda)
why he don't play codas solo like originally on 1970 lp? In CD Rev-ola booklet it is written, that this solo was played by Clapton
Wah Wah pedal master
Wonder what amp and foot pedals hes using to get that lead sound...awesome
Buy MP3 Rocket online and you can get any of these UA-cam songs. Unlimited downloads.
His version of watchtower is equal to if not better than hendsrixs version
Dave played the acoustic guitar parts on Jimi's original recording of Watchtower.
Def

put him with the Eagles...Joe Walsh who.
justgivemethetruth. Here's some truth. It's called improvisation. you show your lack of musical knowlege. It's a fine solo by a superb musician.
Please get rid of these stupid Carnival commercials, PLEASE.
