I think you are the right guy to ask this. I’m wondering if i should get the sony a7 iv or blackmagic 6k pro. Plan is to shoot diorama’s and jewelry making. Since i ve seen you make commercials with both sony and blackmagic i wonder which you prefer to work with? And colours?

I would get the Sony if you are just starting out the blackmagic can be not as easy to get a good image out of as the Sony. Hope that helps

Question - are you exposing for the edges of the product when you whoosh the pavotubes? I was trying some techniques of your's, and on my A7iii, I overexposed by 2 stops on slog2 and I struggled with darkening the shadows.

It’s a hard line I expose the product properly and then usually use masking to darken the other parts. Also slog is hard to grade so unless you know what you are doing I would use a different profile. Because the shadows can get really grainy if you don’t expose right on slog. Hope that helped.
