Almost all fragrances will come across "intense" or "overwhelming" if you smell them off the card that soon after spraying. That being said, the ones you didn't find overwhelming will probably appear weak for performance or longevity.
We did the drydown as well.

Great job and nice video. I was gonna be pissed if you didn't ask her to compare Angels' Share with Prive' and Jazz Club at the end, since she gave it such high praise. The frag enthusiast community LOVES Bentley Intense. One of my first blind buys. My wife is not a fan and most woman reviews I have seen have not been favorable. REALLY been wanting Pure Malt!
Yeah, definitely seems more of a guys love fragrance and girls are not into it! I got my bottle on eBay as a brand new tester for 50. So check there! Otherwise it’s much more
This is the first woman review that I've seen not love Bentley for Men Intense. That first spray is harsh though. You really have to give it time to mellow and not overspray.
Pure Malt is my sotd! Nice cool autumn weather. Shining but can tell it's cooling down. Going out to a local theater/restaurant combo for pizza, nachos and bread sticks. Wash it down with some root beer.

Her first guess for Bentley intense was literally WRONG!…its Rum in there..
Just a opinion from a fellow fraghead -Pure malt is a fall & winter scent. Sweet fragrances get more sweet & pungent in heat or warmer climates. I don’t recommend pure malt in dead heat of summer. Still she gave it a 8. So I respect that.
Oh we would never wear that in the summer. Definitely a night time night out scent
I would wear Pure Malt in late fall/early winter
Appreciate the info but one thing i will say and if you wear aftershaves. It is better to spray on skin as our skin is not made of paper. Hence it smells better on skin

It’s very much like a warm cinnamon bun. I do think it’s mass pleasing. I wore it around a friend and he said it reminded him of smelling like a department store lol

Is it redundant to own both jazz club and angel share? I looooooove jazz club and it’s my signature winter/fall/date night fragrance. Angel share has my interest, is it blind buy safe if I like jazz club?
Very different. Warm cinnamon bun for angels share. Try to sample if possible for niche stuff. Just because it is so expensive. It is nice though

I haven’t found one yet that reminds me to much of CH Men Prive with that boozy feel. I know there are bottles on eBay & Mercari.
I’m trying to think if any of the new fragrances give that vibe, and they really don’t.

What would you pick between jazz club and by the fireplace?
I think Jazz club has more versatility than By the Fireplace. Both scents are good, but I like the versatility factor.
Hi! I own both of them. By the fireplace is more unisex than Jazz Club. For me, ByF is the perfect ever day and every night usage, has a warm touch, a vanilla hungry power inside (if that makes sense), smokey but enchanting. Jazz Club is more manly, seductive, spicy vanilla and alcohol; it wakes you up right away. And the biggest surprise of them all, I layered them : one puff of ByF over one puff of JC...and it was pure greatness. Really can't describe the feeling. Maybe just drunk and infatuated with the new smell :D.
Buy them both, I don't think you will regret them.

Nothing too similar off the top of my head. I would look into the direction of darker boozy scents if that’s the vibe. Maybe like a CH Men Prive. I know you can still find dark rebel pretty easy online and at stores like Marshall’s still.

Is Bentley for men intense a good blind buy been hearing alot of good things about it
While it’s affordable, it’s a strong boozy leather. Unless you are into that, I don’t necessarily think it’s blind buy worthy. It’s definitely not an every day wear.

How has pure malt been for you in terms of ladies reactions in your experience
Most have been just middle of the road. No one has really loved it, or hated it. Chelsea tested in leather jacket video and it was 1 of 3 she didn’t want to smell again, thought it was too strong. I can’t remember what Jade thought of it, but I know it didn’t win the video. It’s expensive now that it’s discontinued. I do have a bottle if you wanted to get off me as I’m probably not going to use it again and it’s hard to get now so won’t feature it again.

@@cecilsays-legalmindsetcant1339 if you didn’t enjoy those, I would try something else personally. Take a look at jazz club, ch men Prive, Blvgari man in black. Those tend to be better received and personally I think smell significantly better. If you are interested we have an updated boozy video too from this past month.
@@SoCalScents nice I'll check that out. Don't know if you smelled this one but have you tried Afnan Supremacy Incense or Amouage Interlude Man? Don't ask me how but I actually like that fragrance which is why I was surprised Code Absolu was too leathery for me.

Well, to add some information to your experiment. The way you people are smelling the fragrances. Almost all the fragrances lose their sensitivity after smelling 3-4 fragrances. that happened to me at the store almost always. pure malt is very strong and you are saying its weak. while neither o f the other ones are as good. including ch prive
We have breaks in between each fragrance and smell coffee. We just edit those out.

Frag Snobs on Fragrantica voting Angel's Share as the big winner of 2020 who knew, Bentley Intense is one of the worst blind buys in my list, Boozy note will not agree with many noses - always test first just may not be for you.
It is 100% not for everyone and definitely think it will get positive and negative reactions when wearing it

CH Men Prive is great if not for its trashy performance.
It’s fine if you wear it for specific occasions where don’t need it to last 6-8 hours. Like a night out with friends, going to a bar, movies, etc where you will be fine with its 4 hours it gives you.

She’s basing it on smell not brand. We’ve found it doesn’t matter as it’s smell preference. We’ve had no named brands best out the biggest brands, and vice versa. It’s all preference. These aren’t science experiments they are compliment tests
Don't worry. I'm not suaded by designer brand names. I buy fake bags and wear thrift store clothing...honest unbiased opinions only here 😉
