Beat up the brettonians and dwarves pretty easily and now the sisters are role playing a horde razing rich cities to the north while a tree defends the oak and another tree beats up some elves
Enjoyed the eventual realisation that it was a 'This is a Total War' campaign whilst being flummoxed at the precarious position the player had put themselves in.

Coming up in TW-WH3: If your army has at least 70% ranged units you can activate "LoTW-Cheesegod" switch for autoresolve, no matter the BoP, you win with minimal losses.
Haha considering recent Legends record in dealing with Wood Elves sending him disaster battles involving them could be considered low effort trolling. Also ambush battles gave me PTSD ever since Ikit dropped 3 nukes on my Empire army from his ambush.
@@ragoth6207 After I watched this video I have to say I was kind of impressed with Legend who just did all those battles efficiently out of habit and then was engaged after again. Had he not been as efficient it would end up as a true disaster but yeah few more of these and worlds wood elves will start giving him mental health issues haha.

You couldn't have known that there will be three battles in a row since you didn't know how to macro the first one and this was on legendary. It's more like the timing made it kind of funny as I said above you gotta hand it to Legend how efficiently he dealt with that situation.

They are going to attack you again! Heal! > gets attack again twice: I f*cking knew it xD In my current campaign Nagarythe destroyed the Heralds of Ariel, seems he is the best lord suited for the job
Volleys of Kornous are just dirty. Plain dirty. Dirty damage, dirty range. Get four Eagle Riders, that will delete the equivalent of two units with every use of their Volleys easily. All of my last battles versus the Wood Elves were auto resolved, I just can't deal with that crap :D
@@404Dannyboy I dunno, maybe not for map painting, but collecting their trees and clearing out the enemies surrounding it is incredibly fun. Especially since you get to fight a bunch of different factions. And honestly, late game, the 10-12 armies you can field with sisters are plenty to do map conquest if you really want to.
Pretty sure the people who send these battles to legend just want you to have a horrible time playing the game so you get fed up and fulfil their fantasy, playing a TROY campaign on stream :^)
@@KazeKoichi Unless you play as Hector, Hector is actually quite pleasing to play as his starting position and acces to both good units and resources makes his campaign bearable despite the overall games mechanics. At least in my opinion.

This is why I don't play on Legendary. Battles get boring and tedious if I have to play multiple long, live or die battles. In the lower difficulties, I can take a few losses and still recover, I can try different mix of units, I can meme it up with themed armies, I can risk alliances with factions I know will drag me to wars with everyone.
You said you really can't cheese with wood elves. I would like to see you do one of your campaigns with them. You are a master at this game, you need the challenge.
Hi Legend I'm addicted to your videos I pretty much watch every new one that comes out although I'm absolutely terrible at the game, even playing on normal. I get 10 turns in then get overwhelmed with what to do next or what to prepare for. Do you have any normal player tips? Thanks for the awesome videos as always
@@JSDV9999 I usually like to try playing as either the Skaven such as Queek or Graum with the Greenskins. Another thing I have a problem with is my units leaving due to leadership, it seems like whenever I go up against the dwarves or lizardmen my army tends to get wrecked due to leadership
@@SushiCaptainTV If you are starting out it is best to go with the high elves, as they can do a bit of everything, where the skaven and greenskins use more specialized armies depending on the faction. The lizards and dwarves are hard to fight against, but outdoing them economically then overwhelming them can work well, particularly with high elves that can make lot of trade agreements. If you do want to stick with skaven or greenskins be sure to specialize the army with the faction. A balanced looking army is not always the best. As for what to do next, following the quests can be very helpful to get strong items or heroes. In the early game, prioritizing getting those quests done can be a focus and get you good boosts going forward. Once you do that there will probably be factions who are friendly and unfriendly enough to make clear targets for the next war.

I think I usually forget about them since they only pop up once. I have been told to start with high elves before, but I always dislike doing it since they dont seem as cool as the skaven haha. Thank you though, If I'm not able to get anything done with those two I'll try one with the high elves.
I was honestly questioning why he sent in such an easy battle, especially when playing a super strong race like the Wood Elves BUT I can see why after the first battle. This is truly a disaster campaign imho and the fact that he was trying This is total war as the fkin Wood Elves ??? Big mistake. Besides maybe Thorek and Kroqgar trying This is total war as an order settled faction will have you end up like Legend's Teclis campaign aka a miserable experience. Makes no mistakes it is not undoable though. As Beastmen it is super easy, maybe even easier than the normal campaign as you can stomp the whole map in 40 turns. I would highly recommend doing that as Beastmen for the experience imho. Snitch is also a super easy one and you should def try Count Noctilus sometimes. Any faction that doesnt rely on diplomacy and can have a "safe corner" to grow is much better to try This is total war imho.
Nah he couldn't win the first battle. Legend said in the email the sender told him he thinks the battle is doable but couldn't micro fast enough, it wasn't that easy for him. Also keep in mind that the AI places troops in different positions for ambush battles. It's possible that they positioned themselves much better for the guy sending it in, they weren't positioned well AT ALL for Legend, he had all day to retreat.
When I tried it they came at me from multiple angles and my wizard routed really early, I was really focused on keeping my heroes alive and my hawk riders got shot to shit. I just didn’t have enough killing power left and got a close defeat. Honestly, this campaign is super stressful but has been going pretty well so far
Pretty sure the autoresolver doesn't know that the Heralds get all those Volleys of Kurnous on their Hawk Riders. It's so much power added to a unit that has far far less value in another WE faction
It definitely doesn’t. I did a hawks only heralds campaign and in the late game pretty much all the autoresolves said close defeat, then I’d start blastin and kill the whole enemy army in about a minute

Trolling? Seems legit to me. He's playing a this is total war campaign and couldn't handle the heat so he sent it in. In case you don't know what that is, it's a challenge where you have to declare war on every faction you meet starting from turn 1. That's why he is at war with everyone.

Yeah, there’s a mod called: Total war with everyone Starts you at war with everyone turn 1 and makes peace impossible. Think that’s what you are looking for.

Technically no? Hawk Riders are in the base Wood Elves DLC, and also in the Twisted and the Twilight. However the fancy ability you saw them use, the Volley of Kurnous (or the Inter Continental Ballistic Arrows), are only available when playing as the Sisters of Twilight. So if you only want to try that ability, just buy Twisted and Twilight.

Arrows of kurnos are basically the wood elf version of guided rocket artillery. Very powerful and basically impossible to dodge
