Have to be very careful with cows if they get into the vegetable patch. The green vegetables must look like fat grasses and they will get chomped. The cows also love beets and their leaves. I'm happy to treat the cows with several buckets of large vegetables if they have done a few hours of heavy dragging for me and they are fairly easy to recruit now.
