Mal and Ben The Royal Wedding Disney Descendants | Character Review and Toy Opening Series

Here is Descendants Royal Wedding Mal and Ben dolls. Mal comes in a beautiful purple and white wedding dress with a purple head cover and a tiara. Ben comes in a blue suit with a white shirt underneath and he seems to be wearing a medal of some kind. There are gold braids on his shoulders and around his arms. The dolls are based on the Descendants 3 dolls.
Mal's dress is beautiful. The top has leather-like quality with scales, so I think they were trying to put Mal's dragon-like skin texture onto the dress.
There is a sheer purple coverings on her shoulders and it goes all the way up to the neck. And there are purple arm sleeves. They have the similar scale-like texture on the sleeves. There are yellow dots all around her top. I'm guessing those are gems embedded on her dress.
The skirt has four layers. There are the outer white layer, the purple sheer layer, another white layer underneath and then the white sheer ruffle layer on the bottom. It sure makes Mal's dress look really puffy. From the first glance, I thought it was a simple white skirt underneath, but they put in so much more nuance into the design. I love it. The dress literally shines under the light.
She is wearing her golden tiara and a purple wedding ring. She is also holding a bouquet of flowers. I am guessing those are roses seeing as how enchanted roses are very important artifact in the Beauty and the Beast where Ben comes from. I think it might have been so much better if the flowers were actual 3D object, not a paper cutout.
Ben's outfit is based on the blue suit that he typically likes to wear. His wedding outfit is slightly modified, but not by a lot. He keeps his royal blue color for his suit. I feel like Ben's outfit could've been a little better. Like the medal could be a 3D wearable or the gold braids could also be a wearable like in Descendants 2. But this time, they are painted on. Also I feel like his suit could've looked more like his father's suit. King Beast wears the most awesome looking suit in the live-action movie with a lot of French renaissance flair. But I guess Ben just likes to keep things simple.
Overall, the set is beautiful addition to the dolls collection to remember their wedding.
