Audio from the following Salty's Lighthouse episodes were used to create this:
1a "Mixed Signals"
8a "Banana Splits"
8b "Clear the Decks"
11a "Last of the Red Hot C-Gulls"
17a "Desperately Seeking Sadie"
18d "Stop the Music"
20a "Guilty Gull"
This episode is a fan edit of the original Tugs series. It is not official. This production was made purely for fun by fans for fans, with no intention to generate profit.
I love that line "Ten Cents is always putting in his two cents in where it doesn't belong", you SOMEHOW made Salty's lighthouse good
"Ten Cents is always putting his two cents in where it doesn't belong." Gotta admit, that's a great line. It's also kind of hilarious how Zug's the smart one here, while Zorran's a careless showoff. They're pretty different takes from the original, but I like it. Way to make Salty's Lighthouse of all things good.
Yeah, that's really good.
6:35
It's a great line. And it's delivery was top notch
Wait a minute.. I heard Zorrian/Zug's va before. I swear
The actor who plays him is Scott McNeil, who has voice acted in dozens of cartoons. His Zorrian voice is similar to his Wolverine voice in X-Men Evolution, and his Zug voice is similar to Coconuts from Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog. @@雪者
“Oh dear! I bet Zorran’s gonna act like a *bitch* rather than insist on helping!”
I swear that’s I heard at first. If only Zug had been that based.
5:08 Hello, all you beautiful American people.
Billy:"Move aside Star fleeter, hard stuff coming through."😀
Big Mac:"Is he talking about himself or his dynamite?"🤨
O.J:"Probably himself."😐
I'm so glad billy is still pyromaniac
I found myself genuinely laughing at a couple moments throughout here - these episodes are punchy, fast-paced, and incredibly entertaining; it’s Tugs with a more Classic Thomas-like energy to it, and I love it, even if the original UK series will always be something very dear to me.
"Why Sunshine, I didn't know you cared!"
I'M DEAD XDD
"Move aside Starr-fleeters, hot stuff comin' through!"
"...is he talking about himself or his dynamite?"
"...probably himself"
Now how wasn't that interaction in the original episode... d
Its nice that he digitally added Big stacks name onto the side of him, makes it feel more realistic.
As both a Thomas/Tugs fan and a Transformers fan, it feels so surreal hearing the American versions of Ten Cents, Zorran, and Zug, as both of their actors played main character in the Beast Wars series, one of the most beloved series from the franchise.
In particular, I INSTANTLY identified Scott McNeil pulling double duty as both of our Z-Stacks this episode, them bickering AND being on the same team harkens back to two of Scott's most famous Transformers characters; Dinobot and Rattrap, as the enemies-to-respectful-rivals the two shared, especially the arguing (as in both shows, the actor is practically talking with himself,) is just amazing to release!
Heck, the voice used for Zug even sounds like a childlike version of Rattrap! Zorran on the other hand, is somewhere between, well, a *lot* of other characters of the 90's in general.
Ten Cents and another Beast Wars character, Cheetor, sharing the voice of Ian James Corlett, and both being the "plucky, young, kid-appeal," character, is also amazing.
My god, I loved the Eng Dub for surprising us for that
"Zorran was the leader of the Z-Stacks. He was mean, brutal, and rather full of himself."
Zorran: You say that like it's a BAD thing!
Hearing Sunshine as a female and chatting with Billy as if they weren't part of the same crew, it feels so weird!
“move aside, star fleeters! hot stuff comin’ through 💪💪💪”
“is it talking about himself or his dynamite 🤨”
“probably himself 🫤”
honestly a billy shoepack moment
How far we’ve come since the early days of VHS uploads of this cult classic series.
You’ve certainly done these Salty’s Lighthouse Dubs better justice. Well done!
One thing I would love to see return is the US dubs that were a joke. Those cracked me up
“I’m the master blaster!” - Billy Shoepack 2024
I never expected a edit of a cut up version of a failed sister series to Thomas the Tank Engine to have such a great line "Ten Cents is always putting his two cents in where it doesn't belong"
It really feels just like old Thomas with how snappy it gets
It's hitting me that this feels like the Tugs segments of Salty's Lighthouse I THOUGHT I watched as a kid. Which is a wild feeling.
"If you believe that Sunshine, my name is not Top Hat."
It's a good thing Otis or Big Stack didn't say that lol
Ever Given lol
(that aside - you've finally cracked TUGS for me! I've tried to watch it before and as much as I wanted to enjoy it, something just wasn't clicking - but this does!)
This is the version of the show I can show little kids
Again i reiterate, I like how Salty's Lighthouse handled it especially with their cartoons and songs, but this is AMAZING TOO❤❤❤
It's Scott freaking McNeil holy shiz
This is the real US dub
The first 2 episodes of this series are absolute bangers and I can’t wait to see the 3rd episode of TUGS: The Lighthouse Edit
I like this, but I personally think you should have left out the bits of the tugs accusing Zug of grounding the tanker because the tugs never learned that it was Zorran who was to blame for the incident.
Maybe but it wouldn't be out of character to blame the nearest Z-Stack. Just would've added Sunshine's apology at the end.
Just pretend Sunshine is a young boy who needed an actress to make him sound like one.
Two Beast Wars alumni did voices in Salty’s Lighthouse: Ian James Corlett and Scott McNeil did the voices for the majority of the TUGS dub. McNeil’s take on Zug sounds more like Rattrap, and Corlett’s take on Ten Cents sounds almost exactly like Cheetor.
7:50 Best part in the whole episode
Creative way of changing this episode into a second one. I’m very curious to see how the rest of the episodes will differentiate in their order.
Zoren"s voice reminds me of Dr Claw. Amazing video! Hope you have a great day!
I hate salty's lighthouse just as much as the next person, but this is actually a really good edit and it makes me feel like a watching tugs for the first time again
Is it just me or does Zorran sound like the older voice for Diesel 10 from TATMR before the movie released
Unlucky tugs back
I'm going to be on a very delightful binge watch of these, and that's not a bad thing by any means! Great job! 😊
I'm sorry, but Billy Shoepack's British voice is too iconic to forget. Not saying the Salty dub's voice is bad though.
I’m not sure if there will be some moments where some characters that didn’t speak in Salty’s Lighthouse, like the Fire Tug and Big Mickey, will speak using the original British dub or some characters, Puffa or Frank and Eddie, would use their original British voices instead of their SL voices
Top hat said that the tanker didn't budge and I was like no really bro. I thought it got moved so far I thought it flew back to Big City Port
Ahhhhh yes, one of the buzz books of the franchise.
I wasn't expecting this second one to come out this fast. I thought you would bring Pirate out next. I am not sure how that one will work considering they changed Sea Roge to a villain in that one and the future of the old man and the true villains goes unused entirely. I guess I'll have to wait and see how you pull that one off when you bring that one out.
Hi SonicJrandSarah
I don’t think he’s gonna do pirate since Sea Rouge and his Uncle never appeared in Salty’s Lighthouse
@@GiraffeConductor Sea Rogue did appear!
@@SonicJrandSarah oh yes, i remember now. But i don’t think theres enough remasters footage of sea rouge to do a salty’s dub of pirate.
@@GiraffeConductor My guess is is that it will be a mix between the episodes where Ten Cents's barge goes missing and Top Hat's dream about the pirate. I can imagine the theme that played for when the TUGS caught the villains in the original episode will be used for when Ten Cents catches the evil Sea Rogue, then Top Hot shows up, says "You caught my pirate", and then after the dialogue exchange between Top Hat and Sea Rogue, we cut to the scene where Top Hat and Warrior are taking the pirates away and the narration claims that they're taking Sea Rogue away, then we have the scene where Ten Cents apologizes to Zip and Zug for blaming them on the disappearing barge.
Zorran is devious tugboat 2:17
Running the groud with a tanker
If Salty’s Lighthouse had gotten rid of those stupid cartoon segments and used O’Donnel and Campbell’s amazing score, I’d like Salty’s Lighthouse a lot more
No matter the dub, Zorran's is always a w
Now That's More Like It
5:08 to 5:10 Not as good as the UK’s, “OH, I SAY, HELLO”!
When will Little Ditcher speak in TUGS: The Lighthouse Edit?
And what will be the next episode of this series?
Nice Job!👏✨
That voice suits Zorran 😊
Was zug voiced by Scott McNeil in Salty's lighthouse?, cause he sure sounds like rattrap from beast Wars
Yeah.
Sunshine sounds like bubsy from bubsy 3d 😂
I'm guessing the different lengths of these recuts is down to not having enough voice lines or remastered footage from Salty's Lighthouse to work with to have be that bithe more fuller without adding padding or reusing what you have to work with.
It ultimately doesn't matter given it gives the Salty's Lighthouse voice work for the TUGS side of things a fairer chance, though I'd be amazed if there was enough left over to make an extra albeit unofficial episode 14, granted, I don't know what you'd even do for such a thing we're that possible.
Nice rewriting salty lighthouse :)
did zug just swear in the TV show aka say a bad word
I have to ask is there a reason Otis’ name is not on his hull like Big Stack’s?
Otis' name was much more of a pain to motion track in other episodes (Quarantine specifically) so I opted to just censor his in all episodes for consistency. Big Stack's thankfully was easier, and him without a name is more of an eyesore than OJ (in my opinion, anyway)
@@TheLuckyTug Makes sense.
Though I must say the retention of the ‘hot stuff’ gag really make me hope the following SL lines are in the remaining episodes somewhere.
“I hate myself."
-Ten Cents.
"What do ya want me to do? Sink myself?"
"Not a bad idea."
-Ten Cents and Sunshine

The what now
Hercules is my favorite boi
Cool
Wow, works really well, I really like the guy you got as Captain Starr, how did you find him?
Is this fake
No
As good as this is I highly doubt Munitions is going to get adapted in the style unfortunately
Billy sounds a little like Sonic to me, I think that's kinda neat.
