Are you excited or disappointed with this revised 2021 Lexus IS?? I'm happy to see some updates, but I was honestly disappointed to know it's basically the same car as several years ago despite welcome refreshments. Here are 9 Big upgrades they made to the IS: ua-cam.com/video/Ozocym9Dqog/v-deo.html Check out the POV drive on my 2nd channel! ua-cam.com/video/BndwOpzjY5o/v-deo.html Don't miss the night review: ua-cam.com/video/mIFyF5yznOQ/v-deo.html
Several years? It's been the same since the Truman administration. However unlike others, I don't blame Lexus for that; the sedan market is dying a quick death so it would be a waste of money to completely redesign the IS. I have the new ES and they did spend the dollars there, and it's a nice car.
I really like your video: - no crappy intro music - no crappy advertisements - no corny jokes - straight to the video Best part is you also do night review of the car as well. Only thing missing is please introduce yourself at the beginning. Thank you from Ontario Canada
I was going to say the same thing. Now some of that is OK but I like this better - AND you include the POV video along with the rest of the review, not separately. Keep up the good work.
I think this car sounds and looks incredible. Love it in red with the black wheels. My only complaint would be the lack of leather seats at this price point. I think Lexus customers will be happy with this new IS. Great video as always !
Thank you! I’m glad you asked because I’m actually just finishing up with a TLX! I plan to have the night video out later this week and the full review after that 👍
They should make the V6 twin turbo an option. Otherwise, put a turbo on it, and then it will be awesome. Right now, it's OK, but doesn't come close to the comp. in that price range or even cheaper, like MK8 R, G70 AWD, S4, S4, RS3, etc. But, it's a Lexus, and reliable and durable for sure, and it has a volume control for the pumped in sound generation, it will happily rev, it doesn't force you to upshift (like the TLX Type S, type R, etcl.), and the dash is cool, plus they changed it to touch screen, since no one can use that mouse pad going around a track or going down the highway at 80mph.
It's exactly the reason why they are NOT doing it. They tried it with the LS, made a delicate, rather complicated engine that will be a nightmare at old age. There is no simple solution to this. The 2GR was never meant to be a turbo engine. They would need a new engine to do so. They had the idea to put a B58 in this IS and call it a day, but the fans hated bmw stuff in the Supra so much, that they backtracked hard and this didn't moved since. I know that several engineers had several ideas about this problem, but no faction seems to have won the favor of the big boss, that, himself, is dreaming of bringing back the legendary JZ engines. But I think he is blocked in his track by marketing and accountance. It's a difficult problem that involves politics inside the Toyota group, and diffferent governments around the world. If EU and USA take back their ban on ICE cars in 2035, then there will be economic sense to launch a new engine generation. We can only wait and see.
I dig the new exterior but those cheap incandescent rear turn signals need to go, they scream cheapness and obvious cost cutting like that is a big turn off. Also missing several desired features, like power folding/auto dimming side mirrors, real and/or premium leather, power steering wheel, HUD, heated rear seats, Hands Free/power trunk to name a few. Throw in the lackluster V6 (compared to similarly priced competition) and this is one outdated, and overpriced Lexus... maybe a good buy 2 or 3 years from now fully loaded for like $35-40K.
Yes I love the car I been putting deposit for it been more then 4 months still haven’t had one I liked But what I hope they have it Door open rim less like the rc one USB C instead of usb No dvd audio I mean that can be a empty space for a phone or quick cash/sunglasses

Haha no joke! Great point. I really like what they did with the ES, and I’m glad to hear you like it 👍
a tip : you can watch movies at Kaldrostream. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Randall Billy definitely, I've been using kaldroStream for months myself :)

Thank you very much, I appreciate the feedback!

@@Mr21scott I appreciate it!
I like the exterior design, except for the taillights. I like the touchscreen option. That color combo with the black rims is 🔥. Great review Nolan.
That ya sir, I appreciate it!

the exterior looks so amazing now, still agree with you tho, there needs to be more change mainly just the interior and drive train
I love it.
Nice one love the way you reviewed it can we get a 202q acura tlx pov review and night drive im comparing the two thanks!😊
Thank you! I’m glad you asked because I’m actually just finishing up with a TLX! I plan to have the night video out later this week and the full review after that 👍
Nice car I got one a couple of weeks ago.
$56k 🥲. Taxes and fees will
easily make this a $60k car.
Yeah for sure, it’s pretty steep!

We can only wait and see.
But gimme the charge of dev team at Toyota and a budget, and I make you a "budget" turbo ISF everyday.
Wow. 👍
Nice video. Too bad we don't have this IS here in Europe 😞
Great Review!!!!
Thank you!
Best review money can buy.

All I care is; Lexus is the most reliable car I ever owned. I love mine!
Is500 will be the way to go 472hp
Great review
Sounds great
Kerb rash already on those rims
On every rim my friend. If you are not a f-ing Jedi looking to the force of every curb when you park, this happens.

Test drove an 2021 f sport with standard package. I cant feel anything on the road but i feel like it would be better if it has more power.
Wish it came to the uk
Weird. My f sport has the buttons on the driver door for 3 different seat and steering wheel settings
If prime reviewed a 2022 Nissan frontier
Hopefully soon!
Just the review. Don't need your commentary. People need the specs and they will make their own decisions. They don't need a reviewer's biases.
Have you seen a better looking, reliable sedan for under 50k than this?
What about that transfer case bulge by by your foot? You didn’t notice?
fucking gorgeous
Its needs more power and a 8-10 speed transmission
is500 is the real deal
And 350 is slightly lighter on the front with less overhang and more harmonic bonnet line.
ok, than a Stang will do ;-)@@boboutelama5748
0:16 ...now imagine a nice coloured HUD from UX or ES or RX .......why Lexus why not !!?????
for 56k and its not real leather nor power folding mirrors. Nah no thanks!!!
Wut do you use to record?
Does it have auto folding mirrors?
So just keep my is350 2016?
Lol I would
yep 100% keep it unless ur gonna go for the 2022 IS500, if not then keep waiting
No way this is an F sport I almost thought it was a base no memory seats or power seats for the passenger
it has power seats for the passenger wth are you talking about lmfao
Are the wheels matte finish?
yes
Wowed Lexus join announce the new is today
fast
This car is so outdated.
you can’t afford it anyways
It’s not lmfao
For that price buy an S4
I hear ya!
