    Hello Andy
    Great explanation.

    Thanks

    Great video.
Question: can you please recommend a good book on tableau calculations. While I'm good at designing (thanks to ur book), I am still coming up short in the calculation department. Thanks again for the video

Thank you very much. Had an issue yesterday were the grand total was not working within the viz. (tableau version 2019.1.3) had to use this formula:
If first = 0 then window_sum (xyz )end. Then table calc. That worked when I removed everything from the viz except the formula but it didn’t bring in the grand total on the grand total line like normal. Somethings shouldn’t be this difficult. Also the only video (which I’m thankful) on this subject doesn’t have any sound

Hi Andy & Team-- Great vid! But will you mind helping me out with a query? I'm currently using the "Order Date" from one of our data sources from our Server ...When I attempt to add the excel with the scaffold date, it doesn't allow me to join them....I'm stuck here.

Could you do this with fiscal years? For example from the 6th April 2019 - 5th April 2020?

Hey tim, I know I'm kinda late, but I was able to achieve this in excel by creating a "Date Table" sheet and putting in a date for every day for that fiscal year. You can probably use the autofill tool to do this quickly. I did this with some quarterly sales data and inputted every day of that quarter i.e (1/1/2021, next row 1/2/2021 ... all the way to 3/31/2021). Now you can use this in your "Columns" in Tableau and drag in your data into "rows".
