A few years ago, who would have said that this guy was going to be one of the two tennis players federer would face in his last profesional match ever.
Very talented and skillful player. If he only he decided to work on his fitness, he'd have been a great singles player. Glad he won a masters and reached the Finals that year. There's still many wonderful years of atleast doubles career ahead. Please enjoy playing and don't retire just yet. Hope you had a wonderful 30th birthday. Best wishes ahead, Jack 👍🏽🙏🏽

Most of his "skills" have evolved around his inability to move into proper position. Whoo knows how far he could have gone had he decided to get into shape and be a real athlete.
A real athlete? So someone that has grand slam championships in doubles and made it to the nitto atp finals one year for the top 8 players in the world isn’t a real athlete?!
@@samwillard1692 Maybe the wording was a little off, But winning Doubles or Mixed doubles even in Grand slam events doesn't require fitness, endurance or athleticism the likes of a Grand Slam event singles player. Federer, even at 41 could still achieve at this point, what Jack Sock has done, but he chooses not to. Sock however would be hard pressed to even get near one GS final given his physical shape. If he doesn't acknowledge that, then he is in denial. His whole coaching staff is dillusional if they don't tell him. It's really a darn shame, because with him and Kyrgios, the talent and potential w a s there.
@@sixpoint3 My guy they are two different skillsets. It’s possible Fed could win a doubles title due to his insane skills but Sock’s doubles abilities are so good that when a Bryan bro gets injured he’s their first option. Even if he stayed skinnier, Sock’s body type + skill set isn’t really cut out for consistent grand slam late appearances (although it is impressive he did get to #8 in singles at one point)
@@sixpoint3 "Real athlete???" Compared to Rafa of course he's inferior in terms of fitness but he's, like, ridiculously accomplished, even in terms of professional athletes. Sure he won't win 20 slams and doesn't have the fastest 40-yard dash on tour but he's got one of the very biggest forehands on tour and is (I'd argue) the best doubles player on the entire planet.
I'm glad the Sock-Isner-Querrey era of American tennis is over. So many more worthy, more skilled players from America now. Thanks for at least keeping American tennis marginally respectable tho. Go run around your backhand someplace else now ay lmao

My fave even though he’s struggling now
I remember seeing his name in Sports Illustrated for Kids, in the "players to watch" section. He was 12 years old!
indeed, he went to school near me around the same time and his legend had already spread. He had some crazy long unbeaten streak.
That half volley was a work of art
I SO enjoy watching Jack when he's in shape and happy on court. There's no other tennis player I'd rather see then.

no hes talented and 'skilful'
He's so underrated
Its a shame he got hurt, would have been a great show!
LMAO That lady with the Jack Sock's socks!
Prime Sock was awesome. And thanks to him doubles matches experienced a high rate of people watching it
My favourite
Federer is my god, but prime Sock was formidable. The good thing is he is still being funny
2:40 roflmao
skillful
Why do commentators think you should "get out" when you hit a great shot?
Cause they want to say outstanding 😂
Because you shouldn't be able hit those great shots, they think you should get out
you’re takin the commentary WAY to seriously mate
Prime Sock
I thought there would be Hewitt challenge one.
Very nice
I'm just here for the random Maggie Smith and Ian McKellan cameo
Finally Sock changed his racquet, Yonex racquet good for him, he will win one grand slam champion at least!
can't throw in a highlight without highlighing Federer
Sock is so small next to Isner.... Sock is 6'3''....
I wasn't sure if isner was human. He's 6'9"
Sock literally attends every laver cup if I'm not wrong, really hope they get it this time~~before Alcaraz arrives 😱🤮
nah not gonna happen with Novak around to carry Europe

a couple of these looked accidental, and in a couple of them he ended up losing the point...
Sock winning a Masters is the most pathetic thing in tennis these last ten years.
Tsitsipas' cheating and texting his dad is the most pathetic

Yeah I guess you have Tommy Paul who will never win anything...

Isner's really good though, especially in 2018. The new American players may not even reach his heights (no pun intended).
