Listen I’m a regular person lol and I absolutely adore the Dior saddle bag! It’s legit my favorite piece in my collection. I don’t care about the uncertainty of if it possibly bot being a classic because it makes me happy haha. And I do my own thing..trends don’t dictate what I wear and when I wear things. The color of yours is stunning! And I too love the neverfull...it’s a game changer for me.

The Dior has been on my radar. I saw this beautiful blue denim color in the spring but it was so small inside I couldn’t pull the trigger with the price tag with the guitar strap. So beautiful! You definitely worded it perfectly!!❤️❤️

The saddle bag is the bag that started my love for handbags. I bought it when it first came out and it only cost 375 euros at the time. I am so happy that I kept it because now it’s at least 10 times more expensive, and as much as I still love it I cannot justify buying such bag, that almost fits nothing, at this current price point.
Such a great buy if you got it first round, it's so pricey now!

Great video! The YSL Nikki and Celine belt bag are both on my wishlist! I would love to see a video on your picks for best day to evening bags. I tend to buy for day to day usability and cost per wear and feel a bit lacking when I need a date night / evening bag.

I love the idea for this series and look forward to future episodes! I'm also a huge fan of the YSL Nikki--I have the 'crackled' leather in black-on-black. I don’t have a Neverfull but it is my next bag when I’m able to purchase. I have a Speedy 40 that I use for travel and sometimes for everyday if I’m on the go. It’s big, it closes and I love it🖤🤎

I had so many issues with the pochette Métis…I heard the issues were rectified and want it back for sure. I have had three that had issues. Love the ysl Niki you totally convinced me to add that one and I’m obsessed. I also love the art vibes of the saddle. ❤️

I agree with all your recommendations. I, too, was SO excited to get my CD Saddle bag. It's gorgeous..100% a piece of art...but understand that is all it will be. I've used it maybe a total of seven days. It's so oddly shaped that it's difficult to keep your essentials in it. I had to purchase a MUCH smaller wallet which I ended up losing a couple of times. I realized it's really just not a bag that's easy to carry and she's back in her bag in the closet.

I've had my eye on that Celine bag, but the latching issue is a deal breaker for me. I'm already dealing with a latch that sticks on my pochette metis, but I love that bag too much to sell it. Similar for the Dior bag. I agree that it's just so beautiful, especially with that guitar strap, but it's too small to be practical. Thanks for this honest review!

SO glad you did this! I am a handbag collector and I cannot stop thinking about the Dior Saddle Bag. In your honest opinion, if you were looking to buy it for a date night or special events only, would you recommend? It's between the Saddle Bag and the Caro Bag but any and all advice I greatly appreciate :)

I loathed the pochette metis for a very long time. The main con for me was the fact that it was an “everybody has it” bag, plus it just looked too much like wearing a briefcase. Fast forward to a month ago when I went shopping for an empriente bag and decided to see if I could be swayed to get a metis in leather…and I actually was. I ended up getting an alma pm and strap (because that cobalt blue lining won me over and is soooo beautiful) in empriente, but I had to admit that in that print, with the striped lining on the inside, the metis was a beautiful bag. I might go back and get it.

I’d love to see a Chanel VS YSL save or splurge/ pros and cons, because I hear a lot of people mention ysl as an alternative luxury brand if you like the Chanel aesthetic but it’s not obtainable due to availability, cost, price increases etc! This series is going to be so great and

Great info… pre-loved is the way to go on a Celine belt bag. Are Dior bags in general better pre-loved? Have a few on my wishlist but hesitant to pull the trigger. End up purchasing Chanel or LV usually. A few times ended up with a YSL but always admiring Dior from a far.
I wouldn't say in general. I have 3 Dior bags, 2 I bought new and 1 I bought pre-loved. I think it depends on a few things. I will definitely talk about more dior soon!

The Pochette Metis is one of my favorite bags but I REALLY do not recommend it in canvas. I had two of them that I had to return due to the canvas cracking. I LOVE the reverse monogram but after the second issue I just got one in leather instead. (I ended up getting the large bicolor monogram in black and beige and it is STUNNING)…

I dont think that the LV totes are basic… i have both the MM and the GM and i love them. I use them on a daily basis and load them up for travel when needed. 🥰

Have you found any scratching on the hardware on your saddle bag when you connect the guitar strap? I’ve found this is happening to mine, however I did choose one of the more embellished straps so I don’t know if it’s significantly heavier than the simple fabric ones?
