@@BudgetPedalChap- Quick question, I tried connecting tc dimension with an analog preamp pedal and placed it after preamp in signal chain and noticed a Flanger like sound even when engaged and all buttons being off. Not sure what the problem is. Any thoughts?
@@ajayburra6958 the chorusing effect will be more pronounced if you place it after any amplification and dirt stages. @@ajayburra6958 it might just be how it is designed to sound. It's not your average chorus, so maybe this setting just crosses the line between chorus and flange. I can't say I noticed it too much myself, but it's possible 👍
I have the plastic case behringer and it sounds so cool (besides being a dc2 clone, behringer owns tc now so I guess it's the same circuit in a different case) much better than a standard chorus, it's very 80s without being cariogenic
I have always been looking for this "something" in choruses, something I soaked up with as a teenager, listening to likes of Bryan Adams or Brian May. I tried many... and they were not IT. Until I found this very pedal and learned about the history of the original gear. Yes, this is it, this is what I associate with "chorus". :) I love this pedal, for me this is truly the ultimate chorus, I do not even look elsewhere.
Interesting... btw, the corona tri chorus is somewhat missing from the scene, it's a bit hard to find one brand new and just the mini versions are available. I love the Tri and having the three knobs to set it for different situations, also having the toneprint to carry some presets is useful when working with cover bands. I find this 3rd Dimension useful but I would miss the speed or intensity knobs, the presets it already has are awesome nonetheless
Yeah I've covered the mini on the channel, but I don't have the big one. The TC tone print range are all fantastic, so versatile. I have a plethora X3 now, so I could possibly cover the tri chorus mode if I demo that 👍
I sold my waza dimension c pedal because a buddy turned me on to this and it sounds legit better i think. The only downside is it doesnt have stereo but i dont use it that way anyhow. This thing sounds fantastic and for 1/5 of the price. I would say it dounds better thannthe rack mount dimension d too. I dunno what it is, its just slightly brighter and slighter more lush and a hint of phase-ness.
Well Chappie, you just sold one of these for TC. Great review as usual. You have a knack for bringing out the best in a pedal. I didn't know you had a podcast. Is it available anywhere else aside from iTunes? Enjoy your weekend man.
Cheers gent, yeah it is a great sounding unit and having the switches is a godsend as you can always find the setting you like 👍 Yeah, the podcast started before the UA-cam stuff pretty much, we are close to 250 episodes so it's been going a while 🤣🤣🤣 it's on most podcast places, so wherever you listen, it'll be there. Cheers for the kind words and thanks once again for coming back 👍
I had a Dimension C (until my car was broken into). It's been too long to really remember but I'm pretty sure #1 is the only one that sounds familiar here. 2,3 and 4 ond the old Boss got more "The Cure" as you went up, which was fine, I only liked #1, in fact LOVED it. No use for the others (can't stand The Cure or their guitar tones). My original couldn't combine settings the way this and the new Boss can.
@@BudgetPedalChap I have other stuff now I love, and for the price of the new boss I'd expect presets and other things so forget that. This might be cool for nostalgia. Appears to sound really good.
Another great demo Mr BPC, keep up the great content! Bloody love a good chorus pedal, if I didn't already have a WA Julia I'd possibly have ended up with this (of course it had to be purple)!
I don't think there is 1 answer to that question, some do things differently than others and it all depends on what you're after. I like this one, the joyo analog choirs or the Caline orca. The TC Corona is fantastic and really versatile with the tone print technology too
I had one as a permanent fixture on my board… Until I tried a friend’s Boss DC-2W which, IMHO, blew it out of the water. Still, the TC is a fantastic budget pedal!
At a fraction of the price of the boss, it's easy to understand why these sell well. I might try and see if I can get my hands on there boss and do a shoot out between them 👍
Yeah, just like the boss, this has presets that you can switch between rather than controls you can adjust. The afterglow is great, I tried it a few years back and was very impressed by it 👍
I like the Mooer flanger, so I bought three. Their chorus ensemble is good too. Haven't bought one yet. (Fits in my front pocket.) Glad I found tc electronic!
no, there are 16. One combination where all are off, one where all are on, 4 where only 1 button is on, 4 where only 1 is off, and 6 where 2 are off and 2 are on
It would be 24 if you dealt a hand of 4 unique playing cards, and order mattered. This is 16 (if all buttons off also has a sound) because its more equivalent to flipping a coin 4x (each button has two states - on & off).
Just got this today.
Trying it out in a bit. Great review !
Cheers, thank you. Let me know how you get on 👍
3 and 4 together is beautiful.. gonna buy it now!
Cool cool, let me know how you get on 👍
Great demo. This whole TC line is fantastic IMO! Good stuff!
Yeah absolutely. I think I might be doing a Vs on this one for next week's video, so check back in for that one 👍

Yeah it's a really interesting take on the chorus isn't it? The 4 buttons seems like it could be a limitation but it makes it a really focused sound 👍
If you can turn each mode button on or off independently, there are 16 combinations.
That's a lot of options for a simple chorus pedal 👍
Late to the party, but 2 + 3 sounds like Hendrix to me.
