- Everything you need to know about the new KTM Duke 390.
It is the latest generation LC4c 399 cc single cylinder, four stroke engine that is liquid cooled with double overhead cams with 4 V by cylinder. The engine turns out 44BHP at 8500rpm and 39 Newton meters of torque or 28.8 foot pounds at 6700 rpm. It has a new 6 speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch. The bike handles brilliantly well and is one of the most fun motorcycles I have ever ridden.
Claimed wet weight is 364 pounds or 165 kg. That is incredibly light which is why you have such quick acceleration.
This KTM Duke 390 review will help you make an informed decision about purchasing this motorcycle. - Авто та транспорт
This new design is fantastic! However, I still really like my older 390 Duke that I have been riding since 2016.
Has it been reliable?
@@rolan2dr So far, very reliable in my experience. But then, this is a brand new machine. We have to wait and see.
I was referring to your 2016 Duke.@@KrishnenduKes
@@rolan2dr No issues at all. Great going. It is the earlier generation. More top end. I have kept up with the Triumph Street Triples on the highway. No reliability issues.
That's awesome. I've already seen dead engines from the 2024 from people in India.@@KrishnenduKes
Just received the new 2024 Duke 390 units and we have them on the floor. They look amazing!
had it booked today, waiting to get it delivered
Wow! Congrats mate! Let us know how you enjoy the bike!
Amazing info sir 👏 👌
Thanks mate!
I am absolutely head over heals about this new gen. Eagerly waiting for my finances to get little better and I am gonna get this. I don't wanna lose my older one as well though 😢😫
Fantastic bike. I am head over heels as well. But there is a catch!
@@KrishnenduKes it makes less power than the previous gen??
@@dipuBarua Not really. But good guess. I think I will publish a vid on it soon.
Wow, was waiting to hear your perspective as someone who moved from India to the US like me, also having moved off a beautiful first gen Duke 390 to bigger bikes over time. Would love to see you share magic from your POV on this bike as I see it has landed now in States' shores.
Whoa! Nice to meet you. Where are you located? I am in PA.
Great review...can you show some shots/video of the display? Been hearing a lot about this bike, but not a lot of specs/examples of dash/display. Thanks. Appreciate your work as always!
Thanks mate. Will do once we get a bike ready for a customer.
I admit Ktm is great, but will love it if you have a look at the apache RTR 310
I would love to. But they are not sold in this country.
I gotta say, I reckon I agree with you, that bike looks badass. KTM sure know how to make a bike.
You should do a world tour on a scooter.
@@KrishnenduKes oh buddy, that would be amazing
@@AdventuresThings Do it mate! I will shoot a docu on you!
Hi, how can I get the that orange part under rider seat for extra 20mm. Here in India we don't have that.
Please reply....Thanks!
That's interesting. I have no idea.
Ask the showroom.
This mirrors are available?
These mirrors are stock.
I love this bike. The orange one. But the dealers are a ripoff, I’m considering waiting to buy on the used market.
It will take a while to come in the used market.
But why do you say that dealers are a ripoff?
I previously replied not sure where my comment went. Basically because on top of msrp they add ridiculous fees . For example I was quoted over 7K for a 2023 Duke in my area NJ which is absurd for a $5,499 bike. It’s been a long time dealer practice to come up with predatory fees. Recently the FTC had to come up with some consumer legislation called CARS www.ftc.gov/news-events/news/press-releases/2023/12/ftc-announces-cars-rule-fight-scams-vehicle-shopping
Added fees, I was recently quoted over $7K for a 2023 Duke 390 MSRP of 5,499. This is a huge problem in the U.S. the FTC even passed some legislation called CARS recently to prevent added dealer fees and more transparency when shopping for a vehicle.
@@rolan2dr I get that. MSRP of 5499 in PA should add up to around 6885 in my books if you are not living in Phila for a 2023 model.
Yes, the dealers can be high if you don’t know how to shop around, or how good of a deal you can get them to agree to. The system is pretty bad I think. Msrp, dealer set up, destination charge, paperwork fee, license, tax. At least it’s not a cut in stone price and you can barter a bit to get a better price. I’m going to get one in the next month,, probably a 2023, want a great deal on this out going model. I was already quoted $7500 and $6800. I’m thinking $6000 otd 😮 with all the new ones coming.
I'm not sure the previous generation was a beginner bike either.
Ah... I would still call it beginner. Probably!
