I can agree Jim! Although Chi-Yu and Chien-Pao are very popular and powerful pokemon, I tend to like the underrated pokemon in the group, in this case Wo-Chien. I am slightly disappointed about its type combination, but to viable in UU and recently in competitive doubles is an achievement. Wo Chien is definitely underrated, it can survive a Close Combat from max attack Adamant Great Tusk and OHKO with Giga Drain even if it has max HP investment (guaranteed OHKO if Great Tusk has no HP investment)

Wo Chien is for sure my favorite, and I’ve been obsessed with cooking up combos to go with the slug. It’s fun to run full stall + damage over time, with glimmora+ gargnacl +Wo Chien. Poison + leech seed + salt cure. I don’t have the perfect Mons for this team to work exactly the way I want it to every time.. I don’t have the right Teras, or IVs or what ever.. but on paper I love it
Wo is my favorite out of the four Treasures of Ruin too. Mainly because he's really interesting to think about. I don't play competitive - my Wo-Chien prefers to be a pacifist - but I like to see how well the snail does in that sort of environment.
I think I might just like bulky pokemon the most, especially if they have unconventional designs, because Wo-Chien is by far my favorite of the ruin pokemon. I've also got a soft spot for pokemon who are UU and below, because I like the tiers that don't just use the top-tier pokemon. This guy hits all the points I like.
You forgot one very important thing! Foul play does not take in account the enemy drop of attack, because Its technically *your* attack, so Wo-Chien can use it for greta success
@@anairhorn9448 but it’s farting. Like expelling gas from the body. Probably something that can spawn a Koffing. Farts can also be lit of fire so it could be a fire type attack. Or it could propel a body if it’s strong enough to make a’mon fly
1:44 id say 85 hp is a lot better than "Usable" I'd say something like 70 is "usable" on a defensive mon. 85 is a very good hp stat, above average for sure
It's very difficult to use wo-chien without terestalizing. u- turn and first impression are everywhere in UU. and it doesn't do much for damage, it needs toxic or infestation. as leech seed is easily countered by u-turn. only thing holding it in UU is it's terestalize to water or poison type. It should drop to RU so that it can be used more often in easier way.
I’m glad my 2 fav Ruinous Treasures counter this stupid thing not cuz this thing gives me problems when I go against it online but because I had a battle the other day where my Wo-Chien “Rocky” (like Patrick’s let “snail” In SpongeBob) missed a absolutely MASSIVE ruination and it cost me the game 🙂
Doesn't Tablets of Ruin lower the Attack of "all active Pokémon"? If that's true, and it mechanically works as the text describes...then wouldn't the ability also lower the Attack of Wo's partner in Double Battles? Why would you pair Wo-Chien with Palafin or Iron Hands, if it weakens them too? Pair Wo up with special threats instead, like Flutters or Chi-Yu.

The coolest part about Wo Chien is that it eradicates Dondozo, Garganacl, and Gholdengo, arguably the 3 most annoying pokemon in Gen 9.
