I would have cut a bunch of holes in it. Such amazing work!
I sometimes punch holes in them too. When I do, I'll use a bond to seal it up (^-^;

Hi, is the skiving knife you used for the back part homemade from a stainless steel ruler? If yes, is it 15° for the blade edges?
Yes, it is. The angle of the cutting edge is between 25° and 30°
Glade to see someone else using a blade from a hand plane to skiv
In Japan, there is a similar tool called a shiragaki, which is not a plane blade used in woodworking.

ワックスを塗る前まで革が湿った状態で作業するのですか？
透明なアクリル板みたいなやつは売ってるのですか？それとも自作ですか？
ワックスを塗る前までは革は湿っています。色は乾いていても湿っている状態がベストです。
透明な板は自作です。塩ビ板に丸錐で線を引いて作っています。
