I love these types of boxes and have made several larger versions. Your work is excellent and the humor added a very nice touch. Add the dimensions was great for all of us who want to copy your work. Thank you.
Very nice, a most excellent build using reclaimed wood. I have an antique Japanese tool box, a little larger than the one you made, that has a drawer in one end under a false bottom,,where I keep my Japanese chisels and plane irons. The lid has a fixed rail on one end and a moving rail on the other end, fixed by nails in slots, like a puzzle box. All the parts are also nailed together with iron cut nails. The drawer is hidden my a moving side panel, which slides in slots on the front and back, locking the drawer in, and hiding it from view. The Japanese craftsman I got it from said I had to work out how to open it before he would sell it to me. I managed to work it out, based on wear marks on the lid and end, where the moving parts slid back and forth. This tool box is one of my prized pieces, and sits in a place of honor on my work bench. Arigato gozaimasu. 😊

Hi I am Hiroto. Darcy Tara, thanks for your comment in Japanese! I'm glad you enjoyed it. You should try making one yourself sometime 😄 Arigato! ありがとう!
Nice work and good presentation. I only noticed one issue: your inch dimensions are not accurate to the millimeters. 25mm = 1” 10mm = 3/8” 12mm = 1/2” Etc. I can understand how non-imperial countries can get that confused. In the US, we use both, but people think we only use imperial. 😁 Just remember to divide your millimeters by 25.4 to get inches.
Hi Alan R. Thanks for your comment! Thanks for letting me know about the inches! I've learned so much! I'll keep working on it! Inches are similar to the Japanese "Shaku-kan Method".
Rounding an inch to 20mm is probably close enough for the project. Tool box with just end up a bit bigger if you follow the inch layout blindly. 1' 3" though sounds a bit weird in carpentry where it's more common just to say 15 inches.
this guy used old floorboards to create asmr and an elegant box, what a madlad.

Hi I am Hiroto.
Darcy Tara, thanks for your comment in Japanese!
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
You should try making one yourself sometime 😄

How thick are wood pieces, dozo?
Hi I am Hiroto.
Thanks for your comment, c393083!
The thickness of the board is 10mm.
Nice work and good presentation. I only noticed one issue: your inch dimensions are not accurate to the millimeters.
25mm = 1”
10mm = 3/8”
12mm = 1/2”
Etc.
