Lol I feel the sarcasm friend. Yeah, actually. I paid $0 to play this game for 1000 hours on GamePass on XBOX. I downloaded it because of a trailer and a couple of gameplay videos on youtube, not because of promises of what it could become. I loved the game so much I transferred my account for free from XBOX to PC and bought the Odyssey expansion for $40. I have since added 2 extra accounts for $6 a piece. I've played for about 5000 hours and experienced this fleet carrier instancing issue exactly once. Sounds pretty typical for a finished game that is not in alpha. Is it the most polished game out there? Heck no. But i've paid less to play this game and spent more time playing it than any other game I've ever owned. 🤷♂️
@@dangerpencil im not discounting the game at all. ED was my first game of this kind and it brought me back to when i played the original elite on my commodore 64 back in the day. I still play it from time to time but feel ive achieved what i wanted to achieve. Mainly playing SC now and my comment was basically trolling on the guys I personally know that defend ED so hard and are almost white knights for FDEV. Both are very enjoyable games. Perhaps if FDEV adds more content that isnt angry space cauliflower focused then I will return and that will be my new time sink. My fleet carr5ier has enough cash on it to survive for 10 years untouched if the game lasts that long. I've encountered this issue with my own FC being too close to a station several times, usually I just have it move somewhere and meet up with it in 20 mins. Make a cup of coffee and a sandwich and come back to it.
As I understand it... stations/carriers/planets/etc. have their own instance radius - and when multiple stations enter eachothers instance radius, your ship drops to the wrong instance sometimes.
@DavidHanniganJr nothing at all 😊. You can log out and back in, or jump to supercruise and then drop back in to fix the problem. It doesn't appear that landing is actually possible in this state.
Your my first cmdr showcase in a new series. Awesome skills!
Hey, thanks!
Awsome skills indeed :)
Been a problem from the day carriers came in to the game. Dont allways park on a moon cmnd hehe
Used to get this problem a lot. Not so much now.
😮
but.... its a "finished game" and not in alpha, right?

Hopefuly fdev can fix your carrier xD
Fdev fix something 😅
what was THAT?
Fleet Carrier instance conflicted with a Station's intance.
AAA game
Rogue carrier?! How does that happen?

@@dangerpencil so what happens if you don't catch it?

Not a fan of the squished ratio.
The widescreen? It isn't squished... it's just wide.
