Enjoyed as always. Like one of the other comments said, i really liked seeing your Dad take fish on the lighter rod. Your smiles said it all. TIGHT LINES
Many times i wished my dad were around to see the advancements we have today. Only with him once in the '50s and watched while he chiseled out a hole, long time through a foot of ice. At the time.....waay too much work and not a bite.
Lots of good places off the Lansing dike. We used to have a fishmarket/baitshop just north of Ferryville and we had maps of the dike with the names of all the ponds there. I can't even remember any of their names, now.
So cool you can be out fishing with your dad. Fishing with my late father was some of my fondest memories. He loved the ice I wasn’t that fond of it. Fishing should get better for another month or so. Can’t wait to see more videos. Hope you enjoyed your day.
Hey Lance I wanted to let you know that out of 46 channels that I subscribe to I always go to your first 👍. I was wondering if you or any of your subscribers have a way to stop ice from forming in your rod guides? Really enjoy your videos, learning a lot.
Thank you for the kind words! I have tried spraying the line with Pam and it worked for a short time. The rod guides can make a big difference as well. If you buy a rod with light wire guides the ice falls off much easier. In this video we were fishing in a heated tent, so the ice was not an issue.
You have to love this season Warm Warm Warm WINDCHILL -20 🤣 Must've been REALLY COLD if you sat in a shack that long! 👀
Very cold...this week will feel great!
Awesomeness!!
Thanks!!
I wanna see a duck hunting with dad video like the old days!
That would be fun!
So cool to be together with ur dad its precious times that some people dont have.
Absolutely!
Good to see you fishin with your pops, make all the memories you can. Good times!
I always enjoy my time with Dad.
I appreciate your video 😊
We had a good time on the ice!

I probably should have handed him that rod from the start but he has no problem catching fish with any rod he uses.

He's done fine when I've seen him, tight lines!

I remember my dad drilling holes with a spoon auger.
Great Video ! Great memories!
Thank you for the comment!
Always good to make memories with the old man! Nice work as always!
Yes! He gave me the gift of the outdoors by introducing me to camping, hunting and fishing at a young age.
Looks like a fun day on the ice.
Very enjoyable!

I've never tried that area. I'll have to look into it.
I’m convinced your dad could catch a minnow with just his pointer finger with a spring bobber at the end of it😂 That guy has the touch!
I think you're right 😅

My dad started taking us ice fishing before I can remember. We are still fishing some of the same spots today. It's in my blood!
So funny. I was thinking he should try one of your rods because his was so stiff. Then you did! Enjoy the rest of your season
Thank you!
Go with your dad as much as possible one day it’s all over
Yes, you are so right.
Great advice!
