2023 Everglades Challenge

Join myself and Joe Frohock as we sail down the West Coast of Florida in the Everglades Challenge a 300 mile race from St. Petersburg to Key Largo in small boats with no motors allowed. We completed the race in three days and 1.5 hours on a Windrider 17 trimaran. For more information on the race go to www.watertribe.com.

I'm coming to FL this weekend to buy a windrider that the current owner bought just for this race. He says that there was no wind, and the windrider is not practical to row... so they bailed on the race. I live in NY, but maybe I'll bring the boat back down to compete in a future race. Well done guys!

Always big grins no matter how bad the conditions. I’ll be back on SUP next year. After starting last year, not finishing on the same type of boat, I wanted to finish it this year.
