- Others have made the ultimate sacrifice so that you could be free. Remember them-today, and always. A moving tribute, written and narrated by former Navy SEAL and author Jocko Willink.
Script:
I am the fallen soldier, sailor, airman, and Marine.
Remember me.
I am the one that held the line. Sometimes I volunteered. Sometimes I went because I was told to go.
But when the nation called-I answered.
In order to serve, I left behind the family, friends, and freedom that so many take for granted.
Over time, I used different weapons: a sword, a musket, a bayonet, a rifle, a machine gun.
Often, I marched into battle on foot. Other times, I rode to battle on horseback or in wagons; sometimes on trains; later in tanks or Jeeps or Humvees.
In early wars, my ships were made of wood and powered by the wind. Later they were made of steel and powered by diesel fuel or the atom. I even took to the air and mastered the sky in planes, helicopters, and jets. The machines of war evolved and changed with the times.
But remember that it was always me-the warrior-that had to fight our nation’s enemies.
I fought at Lexington and Concord as our nation was born.
I crossed the Delaware on Christmas Day in 1776.
In the Civil War, I fought with my brothers-and against my brothers-at Gettysburg and Shiloh and Bull Run. I learned that we must never again divide.
In World War l, I marched on the Marne and held the line at Belleau Wood. "The war to end all wars," they called it. I just called it "hell."
In World War ll, I fought everywhere: the beaches of Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge, the hell of Guadalcanal. I stood against tyranny and kept darkness from consuming the world.
In Korea, I landed at Inchon and broke out of the Chosin Reservoir. They called it "the forgotten war"-but I never forgot.
In Vietnam, I fought in the Mekong Delta, at Khe Sanh and Hamburger Hill. Some say my country wavered. But I did not waver. Ever.
In the recent past, I have fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. In Baghdad, Fallujah, and Ramadi. In Kunar, Helmand, and Kandahar.
As technology advanced, I used night vision goggles and global positioning systems and drones and lasers and thermal optics.

Honor the Fallen. Honor the families who sacrificed their precious sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, husbands, and wives.
As an Israeli, I want to express my deepest appreciation to the families of the fallen soldiers. Your sacrifice is immeasurable and honored. I also extend my heartfelt gratitude to the American soldiers who have served with courage and dedication. We stand together in remembrance and respect. God bless you all.
I recently came across a story that exemplifies the heroism of these soldiers. Our story begins on a Saturday morning when a pleasant wind caressed the waves of the Persian Gulf and the American aircraft carrier Bataan. After months on patrol in the area, the ship's crew prepared to head back to the USA. Then, an emergency order was received: a new war had broken out in the Middle East, and Bataan had to deploy to the Red Sea, en route to the shores of Gaza.
Bataan is not a typical aircraft carrier but an amphibious assault ship with compartments for landing craft and amphibious vehicles. Its air force consists of transport helicopters and a squadron of outdated Harrier aircraft for fire support. On October 7, 2023, Bataan was the only US air force in the sector when the Houthis from Yemen began launching suicide drones towards Israel and ships in the Red Sea. The Harriers, despite being relics from the past, were tasked with intercepting these drones.
The Harriers had minimal air-to-air capability and a very short range, but they were equipped with slightly improved radars. The drones were difficult to track, flying low and slow with the radar signature of a rice cracker. The Harrier pilots faced immense risks, flying at low altitudes in stormy conditions, with any malfunction or debris posing a fatal threat.
One pilot, Earl Earhart, became a hero by intercepting seven drones, making him the first US ace since the Vietnam War. The arrival of the Eisenhower with its battle wing eventually took over, but the Harrier pilots' bravery during those critical hours was extraordinary. Even if the Harriers had missed some drones, there was an F35 squadron on standby to intercept any that got through.
The American pilots fought not just for their country but for us, displaying incredible dedication and courage. For that, they deserve our heartfelt thanks and appreciation.
Salute. Thank you
May god bless you.
Thank you Shalom Blessed Israeli friend! Your honoring of America's fallen soldiers is most appreciated. As a Jewish American, I think it would be sensible to take a moment to honor the fallen IDF soldiers who gave their lives for Israel along with our American soldiers on Memorial Day, since protecting Israel is protecting America.
Shalom shalom, my friend. We pray for Israel every day, that your people would be safe and your enemies defeated.
Shalom, may God extend his mighty hand to protect Israel from its enemies and the enemies of our country and freedom across the planet. We are in perilous times - very perilous times!🇺🇸 🇮🇱
May the memory of the fallen be a blessing and a reminder. Their sacrifice was for us; we need to deserve it.
Thank you all for your service. Past, Present, Future. Thank you 🙏🏽
Thank God Who gave us His Son, Jesus, Who sacrificed His life so we can live. Believe in Him❤
I am a Vietnam vet who made it back in one peace. I went, though, as a volunteer, for the sake of those such as Muhammed Ali, for his right to disagree with me, and for my family. I still miss all my fallen comrades-in-arms, those who died in Vietnam, and all those other places, because I also went to uphold the same county and the same freedoms that they died for, do, do, remember.
GOD bless America and all the men and women who died for the greatest country on God's green earth. 🙏🏻🇺🇸🙏🏻
The blind nationalism is getting out of hand and will be our demise. Remember: pride comes before the fall.
How many veterans do we have here today?
My parents are veterans, stationed in Frankfurt Germany in the 1990s, my father also served in the early 2000s during the middle east conflict
Here. Family of over 30 veterans.
Army vet😊
Father(WW2 Army), Grandfather(WW1 & WW2 Navy), Uncle(Marine), Nephew(Navy). Thank you to all the others as well!
I am a veteran of the United States Navy. My father and two of his brothers served in the Navy during World War II. One of my uncles gave his life in that war. My maternal Grandfather was in France during WW I and fought in the trenches. He never talked about it. My paternal Great Great Grandfather was in the Calvary in the Civil War he gave his life in that war. Tremendous family tradition of service. I am humbled by the great sacrifices they made.
God bless our troops and veterans, thank you all for your service and sacrifice to our nation
"In Flanders fields" my favorite poem
Sadly we are forgetting what this day is about. We'll be reminded soon enough.
I agree
Possibly the best 5 minute video on UA-cam. I watch it every year and it never fails to affect me to my core.
It was raining but actually it was just the Lord weeping alongside the other fallen soldiers. In the end, they dried their tears and we were able to enjoy the parade.
The Word of God tells us that there is no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend. What does this tell us about those who lay down their lives for strangers?
Tell Jocko, "Thanks, Sailor." I propose a toast, "To absent comrades and fallen friends, fair winds and following seas until we meet again on those streets paved with gold. OoRHA!"
THANK YOU!
It was my Honor to serve this great country for 4 years. I was one of the lucky non-combat veterans, but I still remember many of my friends who served in combat and never returned!

i remember...ThankYou Mr.Willink
Those of us who have never been in combat can never truly appreciate the sacrifice made by our men and women in the armed forces. May God reward them for their magnanimity.
God Bless the men that have fallen for America and God Bless to those that still stand and serve and all those that have served. God Bless America and God Bless us. "Heaven Help Us".
Stand for the flag, kneel for the fallen, and never ever forget why we're free!
To all service men and women, thank you.
You are not free....and never have been.

We will never forget our fallen heroes
Thank you to all the fallen soldiers who have given us are freedoms and way of life.
Our freedom has not been under attack by a foreign power since Japan in ww2 and before that Great Britain in 1812. Our soldiers have not fought for or defended our freedom. If they want to fight for our freedoms, Washington is large enough to roll tanks down. The American government is trying to restrict our freedom and rights daily. The soldiers are “just following orders” meaning that they are mindless slaves at the government’s beckon command.
Beautiful. God bless our fallen.
Thank you to all our Military heroes ! Alive and fallen , we are so grateful ❤
I'm a veteran
Thank you 🙏 Jocko and many brave and heroes for your service 🙏❤️🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

Honor our fallen. "Lest we forget"
I remember my dead brothers every day.
This never fails to make me cry. Thank you Jocko for this heartfelt reminder. Thank you Prager U for showing it.
I will never forget. Military families understand what it means to serve. ❤
Salute to the fallen soldiers who gave their lives for our liberties!
They have not fought for our liberties, quit believing that lie. Our freedom and liberties are under attack by the us government, not Afghanistan, Iraq, Russia, but here.
God rest the fallen.
Thank you, PragerU. Thank you, Jocko.
May we never forget the sacrifice of the fallen patriots.
All gave some. Some gave all. Remember and honor those who fell. Thank and honor those who came back.
God bless American Veterans, God bless the American military. Never forget.
This is a massively powerful video. Thank you to all our military! You are always (not just one day) in my thoughts and prayers.
I saw this video a few years ago. It makes me proud to be an American. It made 2:08 me teary eyed. I actually posted to my Facebook page. I salute to all those you have the ultimate sacrifice. To all of those you served. You are the best of us.
My great uncle died in Europe during ww2, his brother my grandfather lived through his experiences. My father went to Vietnam, he spoke of his firesupport there. Nightmares he had, until he passed.. I remember all that have fallen, an those after the war. They have the .memories, that haunted them.
This sacrifice is Forever and ever....
GOD BLESS JOCKO

Thank You Jocko and PragerU and all Veterans!!
I'm retired U.S. military, I don't normally wear shirts or hats or pins to designate myself as such, and I always feel humbled when someone tries to call me a hero, because I know too many who paid the ultimate price. Sadly, the nation is not the same one I grew up in many years ago, we have strayed entirely too far from rational Constitutionality, and far too many Americans don't even know, much less do they seem to care.
Only the true heroes never come home vertical, they return in a flag draped box!!!
I should know, I lost a few great friends, plus I flew as a crew member on a few Angle Flights!
Love you guys. Thank you all for your service. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
My late father, uncles and other family members that served since the first WW. Thanks to all that sacrificed everything so that Americans can remain free even though we take it for granted. Never Forget them.
Should be a great topic presented by Jocko.

My Uncle Aaron, MIA in Viet Nam. West Point Class of '70(?). He'd come home, stay at my Dads beach house and never speak of it. We would go fishing. Everything about him was never a soldier.. But having been called He made it his own....

I’ve heard many Americans complain about ungrateful foreigners who take the protection of the US military for granted. That’s not the attitude of all of us, certainly not this Canadian. Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice for those who you owe nothing.
I remember you, my brother.
I am glad that this was re-uploaded, more Americans need to hear its message.
This video is so Awesome!!! Thank You So Much!!! GOD Bless You Always!!! And GOD Bless Those That Gave Their All!!!
As a war vet this is the best Memorial Day video
Happy memorial day! Respect for freedom.

Congratulations Jocko. You managed to jerk a tear from each eye, eyes that have none left to spill. Have a good evening.
Thank you, all Veterans!!!
I salute to the fallen American soldiers and veterans. They are the true American heroes and must always be honoured.
The freedoms, peace and prosperity enjoyed by Americans and the West is as a result of their selfless sacrifices made.
Salute to the Prager U organization. Mr P. I met you in San Antonio. You’re a great AMERICAN.

All Gave Some ...... Some Gave All
Man! This is so good!!! Thank God for our men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice!
I got out of the Marines 5 months ago, within my 5 years of service to the infantry 12 of my brothers died. All but 1 of them were suicides. 2 Sergeants, 5 Corporals, 3 Lance Corporals and 2 PFC. I went to each funeral, and saw their resting place. Marines go through a lot and no doubt for every branch.
I'm so sorry, may The LORD give you peace!!!
@@dpperry001 Thank you for you words, I found my place in ministry to many who are young and old. Soldier, Marine, Sailor and Airman. I thank God for the hardship and love I feel for those I know and knew. God bless you.
I often overlook this channel but videos like these show a respect and thoughtfulness I miss elsewhere.
To my fallen Brothers and Sisters throughout our time defending and protecting freedom for our country, the United States of America, I salute you. Though you may have fallen, rest in peace knowing that those of us that made it home, will ALWAYS honor you and your family’s sacrifice for us all. You live in all of us, us chosen few who sign the blank check to our country, payable up to and including our lives, to carry you with us. We honor you. We love you. We miss you. One day, we will reunite again, in the Great Drop Zone in the sky. Keep your powder dry, your hatches scoured, and be prepared to move at a moments notice. God Bless you all. “It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.” Gen George S Patton, Jr.
I love you all. God Bless these Great United States of America. God bless you all.

Korea is also not forgotten by me. I am named for my grandfather who was there during some of the worst fighting. I will never know all the names of the fallen or missing but I will always remember that Freedom has a price.

It's a shame that we only Remember for one day while others get months or years of remembrance and celebration.
Thank you.
I will remember.
Remember the guys who didn't come back with the rest of us.
Makes me teary eyed.
John 15:13 (KJV) Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Great video! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What amazes me is listening to this and thinking it was beautiful, then looking up to see 1.3K people who hit the dislike button. Just remember that the freedom and security we have to make that little protest, to show that disrespect, was paid for by the people to whom that poem refers: men and women who gave everything for us. If for nothing other than pure selfish love of our way of life, show some respect and decency and honor those people who paid the price so we can have it.
To those still around to observe Memorial Day who wear the uniform, thank you for service. I don't have to agree with the politicians about where they send you or for what cause (I sure as hell haven't for a long time), but I respect your choice to serve so we can have the life we have. No, my life isn't perfect. Far from it, but it is mine, and I have the freedom to live it thanks to you and those whom we honor today. I know "thank you for your service" can come off as a trite platitude, but today, know for sure that the gratitude is genuine.
It is not the message, it is the messenger. Stolen valor is a felonious offense.
Ironic that peace comes thru violence.

To those before us, to those amongst us, to those we’ll see on the other side. Lord, let me not prove unworthy of my brothers. Until we meet again in Valhalla.
All gave some.
Some gave all.
