Former BLM activist Xaviaer DuRousseau marched in the George Floyd protests and preached the importance of being a “woke ally” until he stumbled onto PragerU videos. He set out to debunk them, but instead, he “accidentally red-pilled” himself and transformed from a lost, angry young man into a calm and confident voice for the conservative movement.

I also grew up in a small farming town in Central Illinois. I was a white kid, but we never knew anything about race, despite being predominantly white. It was simply that black people didn't move to small towns apparently. But then, in High school, a black kid moved to our town. He was one of the most popular kids in school. He and his family were embraced by the community. Thanks for telling your story Xaviaer! I wish more would do the same. If we all embrace our differences as positive things, life will be much more interesting and fulfilling.

Same in my small (1200 people) Illinois farming town. 1 black guy. Was loved and popular. Honestly I didn't even know about race. We never even talked about it then. (90s). This is just me looking back and remembering a life where race was not even thought about in my head. It had no meaning.

I am intrigued by your notion that there may be inherent differences between individuals classified as "Black" and other groups. Are these distinctions a result of their skin color, or are they related to their morals and values? I sincerely hope that it is not based on skin color as you stated. While it is important to be inclusive and accepting of diverse morals and values, we must also be mindful of the potential risks associated with doing so.
It is crucial to exercise prudence when determining who we welcome into our society, as some individuals may have malicious intentions or seek to undermine our values. This is particularly important in cases where children may be susceptible to harmful influences or exploitation. Therefore, exercising vigilance and discernment when integrating individuals into our communities is essential to safeguard against potential threats.

@@WilliamEllison Your reply comes under my comment, but I'm not sure who you are addressing. But I will answer as if you are responding to me. There ARE differences if only culturally between black people and white people and others. In some sense, that's what Xaviaer learned to understand. But that itself does not suggest that those differences are in any way negative. And certainly not from my perspective nor of the others in this comment thread. Can you clarify what you mean? To say that we accepted black people does not suggest that we SHOULD have due to their skin color. We just did because that's what we are and there was no denying that they had some definable characteristic. My point -- and that of others here -- is that race was not a factor in their acceptance. Their DIFFERENCE was. If more accepted their difference as a strength rather than a weakness, we would all be better off. Skin color, economic level, status, community prominence, celebrity... whatever. Embrace your difference. Is that what you're saying?

Young people are more impressionable, its when they age that they solidify their beliefs (the brain is less malleable over time). And people seem to have less shame in their ignorance, I mean a sizable chunk of adults do not even understand the related magnitude between one million and one billion. They delude themselves into thinking they are still smart, like fat girls delude themselves into thinking their 300lbs is a healthy lifestyle choice.

Welcome, Xaviaer! I used to be very liberal as well. As a teenager, I watched TV shows like The Daily Show and Colbert Report and always had liberal teachers and professors in school. The messages I received were always one-sided. All I "knew" about Republicans was that they were "evil and racist." My grandfather tried to register me to vote as a Republican and I was so furious with him that I didn't speak to him for a long time after. My red-pill moment was actually Sandy Hook. I was always against guns, and didn't understand why anyone would ever need or want a gun. I used to parrot the line that they were compensating for something. But when I saw the way the Left was using those children's death as a platform to ban guns, something just didn't sit right with me. I started looking into the statistics about firearms and the history of gun control and disarmed populations. My eyes were opened and I bought my first gun a few months later. I still didn't consider myself a "conservative" at that point, but the more I learned about the Left and the Right, the more I realized that almost everything the Left says is a lie. When it came to race, I started to notice that it was actually the Left who were the racists. It was the Left who labeled everyone and put everyone into boxes, whereas the Right tended to view people as individuals, as Americans, rather than as a bunch of labels and subgroups. Then I started listening to an audiobook at the gym, Wayne Dyer's 'How To Be A No Limit Person.' In the book he talks about 3 types of people: Neurotics, 'Normal' people, and 'No-Limit' people. As I listened to him describe 'neurotics,' I realized more and more that the description sounded like every Liberal I'd ever known, including my younger self. It's been about 10 years now since my "awakening." I too lost a LOT of friends and also a sibling over it, but I have Walked Away and there is no looking back.

the Left are very, very good and spinning a narrative and using language as a weapon (eg, transphobia, antivaxxer, far right, misinformation, conspiracy theorist.... ). All the labels, the pronouns, the judgement, the victimhood.... this is all the creation of the Left, and it's toxicAF (to use their term against them). I'm so tired of meeting Liberals who assume I'm an ignorant racist who watches Fox News and loves Trump. This is SO tedious to try to explain to them that they created that persona, they are just so smug and elitist you can never cut through. they also invented the concept of "my truth", as a way to get around having to consider actual facts. A Leftist has to do the research and find the red pill on their own, and when you do make that journey we conservatives welcome you to our tent (I assume you also now do the same). I too was a liberal in my college years, but as I got a job, married, kids and real life of course I drifted over to the Right Side.

    I am an Alaskan native.
I am an advocate for justice. It’s what I want to do. I watched CNN, MSNBC, Fox and other networks.
The moment for me? Was Jan 6th.
Keep in mind I had watched speeches from just about every democrat serving.
I’d heard their language; their prose and body language.
Maxine Watters basically told people to hurt and block out Trump supporters in their communities. Not once was she taken to task on her words; Kamala Harris? During the riots? Encouraged it.
Not only encouraged? She bailed the rioters and law breakers out of jail.
I listened to Trumps whole speech.
I ask people who say he is guilty to tell me the moment trump is guilty of insurrection. And they never can. That is when I started down the rabbit hole.
    The second strike for democrats?
When Biden lied about student loans.
Yes. He’s done some good around the loans. Look who he’s done it for.
Doctors who make $200,000 a year.
Lawyers who make $300-$600 an hour.
That’s who he forgave loans for.

I had a similar moment with Alex Jones.
Someone mentioned an Info Wars story to me decades back, I don't even remember the topic, but it seemed outrageous to my indoctrinated mind at the time. I argued that the claim was so outlandish that it had to be fake. I wanted to win the argument so badly that I tried to debunk the facts. Upon examining primary sources, the facts were correct in the story.
However, surely, the analysis of the facts and general framing presented in the article were wrong! That required more digging. So, I had to look at other articles that spelled out Jones's framing and try to debunk the facts presented there. There had to be a flaw in the man's reasoning somewhere. One by one, the facts presented in each article were proven true when visiting primary sources. Looking at mainstream media covering the event revealed they would continually misrepresent the facts, outright lie, or provide no facts at all, only rhetoric.
This event led me down a path that changed my worldview completely. When seeing the actual facts behind stories, suddenly my old worldview didn't fit, and I came to the eventual realization that the mainstream world view (the "accidental view" of history) is a carefully constructed lie. I used to say, "Surely the politicians/media can't be that stupid!" when their actions did not fit their rhetoric. What I realized is that they're not, in many cases, that they know exactly what they're doing and working in accordance with a "hidden" agenda, not their spoken agenda, whether knowingly or unknowingly as a "useful idiot".
I'm at the point now where if Schwab or Soros tore off their faces off on live TV, revealing they were actually lizard-men/demons using humanity as a food source, I wouldn't be shocked. I would nod and say "yeah that makes a lot of sense." That's how little I trust the mainstream paradigm at this point.
P.S. on the point of the weaponization of race in the US, look into the works of Yuri Bezminov and Myron Fagen, then follow the breadcrumbs to dig deeper and find out who is really behind these schemes. Dig beyond blanket labels of racial groups and political ideology until you reach the point of naming individuals responsible. Ideology and racial groups are a cop out, as these are concepts, and concepts do not take action, individuals do. You can't prosecute a concept for treason.

This young man gives me hope for our future. He has informed himself and has used reason to find the answers he needed. My heart goes out to all those young people who do not know better. We all have a responsibility to inform ourselves and continue to develop who we are after we become adults. I am especially glad that he has decided to share his journey with the hope that others will see the truth as well. Being uninformed is terrible and am glad that I was raised to watch both sides. My dad used to say you want to stay somewhere towards the middle, vote for both sides because they keep each other in check in congress. Above all, do not do or believe anything just because someone said it. My dad taught us to check for ourselves and to hold up what is being claimed against what others we trust have said and do some research to see if it's true. I am glad for his advice, and I repeat it to anyone who will listen. Thank you for sharing your story.

It was my daughter, now 31, who was once this hippie gypsie type who got this conservative boyfriend (now her husband) who introduced several conservative youtubers and through many enlightening conversations, influenced me to become conservative. My son has some conservative views but he lives in Denver so that alone makes it difficult for him to take the red pill all the way. I hope some day your kids will open up their minds and realize the truth. If I can swallow the red pill (originally I'm from San Francisco, now live in Houston, TX) and be open to listening and becoming aware, than anyone can. Best wishes to you.

My daughter in Seattle thinks she's gay and is actually terrified of patriots, Christians, & conservatives. However, she did call me about a month ago and went down a long list of things going on right now, asking if I knew about those things. She didn't want any kind of info, just a yes or no, which is what I gave her, as I was fully aware of everything on her list. It's not much, but it's a start. :)

While my son (31) lives in Denver and subscribes to the 'look' of the guys there....he's just cynical enough to see through the b.s. somewhat. He was more conservative when he lived here in Houston but I think politics don't interest him much. It's snowboarding that does it for him. He did date a crazy libtard girl for a bit and she showed him her true colors so there's that. Perhaps your kids will change as they get older. I was around 62 when I realized how wrong the left is. Young man, I am nearly standing and cheering for you listening to this! I so want to see you and your community succeed and thrive. I am nearly a mirror image to your story. My parents listened to Dr. Martin Luther King and apparently decided that the way to end racism was to move us to the lower income side of town and buy a house there. I attended elementary in a blue collar white school, and jr. high in an almost all minority school. I got beaten up daily in the white school, but I had friends in the minority school. I much preferred the latter school and the latter group of people, but in this brave new world, I get called a racist, daily. Folks don't bother to ask if you have any biracial family members, which, as it happens, I do. I am so tired of leftists brainwashing one group to hate another, in order to create a poor, dependent voting population. I don't want my cousins to be poor and downtrodden for someone's political agenda. I want my cousins to thrive. I want YOU to thrive. Kudos to you, for being honestly intellectual and asking questions, and kudos to you for following where the evidence led.

This is an impressive man. It takes a lot of courage to go against the grain & more to go against your family’s beliefs & allusions. I still haven’t come out to my family that I’m a hard leaning conservative. I was a raging liberal my whole life. I was involved in politics from a young age, & was involved in various aspects of campaigning and environmental activism. I thought the demon-crats were the party of the poor, the party of the middle class. I was taught they protected the best interests of minorities & of women. Then like this young man, I set out to disprove a few things. I first looked into which presidential candidates had taken the most donations from big pharma. It was my demoncrats!!! I was so angry. Then I wanted to disprove pizza gate. Boy was I in for a harsh reality. Those rabbit holes for deeper and deeper and all kept connecting together. I was mortified at what I learned. It took me a couple years before I was comfortable enough to say I completely WALKED WAY. Now I run a very large activism group called Liberty Lovers. NO MORE LIES!! And part of waking up is also opening our eyes to the serious faults in the the two party system. It’s conservatives against globalists, not Republicans against Democrats.

God bless you brother for sharing your story. Really inspiring to hear people talk about their experiences and what lead them to where they are now. I’ve pretty much been a conservative my entire life and I always was in shock when people labeled me as a racist because my family voted Republican. My dad always instilled in me that God created all people equal and that we treat all people with respect, skin color didn’t matter and when someone shouted out that we were racist for our political views to still show them love and respect which I’ll admit has been difficult at times when someone wants to get in your face and starts yelling at you. But my political party doesn’t dictate who I am. Over time many who’ve disagreed with me and wanted to show me hate have slowly realized I am not their enemy and they’ve even begun to see that things aren’t right on the left.
