I lived in Florida for 30 years. Lived in North Miami Beach when Andrew hit in 1992. Worst part is no power. Once the storm is passed, the heat and humidity come right back. You can't even run an electric fan. It's absolutely miserable.
This storm was not anywhere near as powerful as Michael. They over hyped this storm big time. Now I'm sure the surge was bad over in those area effected by it. But for them to say it is historic is more hype, for some reason. Compared to Micheal, this storm was more like a high 2, low 3. Nowhere near a Michael for sure.
People are ridiculous anymore. It was the largest "named" storm to hit the panhandle. The storm of the century in 1993 took many many more lives....but wasnt named
In JESUS’ mighty name, we come before You, LORD, lifting up all those affected by the hurricane. We ask for Your protection over each person, for Your peace to guard their hearts, and for Your comfort to surround them. Strengthen the weary, guide the helpers, and let Your presence be a refuge in this storm. In JESUS’ name we pray, amen.
Weather channel makes everything much much more than it typically is. Stated 6 foot flooding in a specific area yet never any follow up to show the results of their predictions. Just report the facts and no hype please.

Stop saying it’s the largest in a century in the Gulf. It’s a massively serious storm but you’re lying and making people more tense. Katrina was a Cat 5.
@@flyboigretskiRW You aren't on the coastline bud. They told us time and time again that the real danger with this hurricane was the storm surge. It was a fast-moving storm, so the downpour inland was never going to be an issue. Of course, Tallahassee is fine.
Bright sunshine, cleanest air in years, gorgeous weather. And absolute devastation everywhere, no power, hopefully you aren't flooded because that's another hell in itself. The ever ironic one two punch of hurricanes - when they're gone, "This is where the fun begins" 🥴
It doesn’t matter where this mega storm made landfall what it matters is the destruction that it has caused and the fatalities. Let’s focus on what mother nature is telling us. I live in Florida. I was about 150-200 miles away from the hurricane and it caused some bad flooding down here. Couldn’t imagine what it would be like for people in the Florida panhandle and Georgia. It was bad, the news isn’t hyping anything up.
