It's not that Ichigo is way too strong. It's that Ginjou's heart just wasn't in the fight, so it made his attacks weaker and his sword brittler. That's what was happening to Ichigo through the entire Arrancar arc, but especially after the fight with Ulquiorra where he couldn't hurt Yammy and couldn't keep up with Gin because of what he was feeling. Substitute Soul Reapers are humans, after all.
0:52 During the fight they specifically talk about how those techniques wouldn't work against him because he trained him to use them. Byakuya's only option was to make up a new strategy on the fly.
Byakuya's sheer respect and care for Ichigo overpowering the re-written memories is pretty cool. Ichigo pretty much freed Byakuya from his own moral dilemma jail he created for himself, which saved him and Rukia, which we all know he cares for her deeply. Also since Ichigo is pretty much always as honest and on the side of the protecting those he cares about, it's really easy to trust that he's fighting someone that's causing harm
TYBW IS COMING ❤🔥 This ending of the Fullbring Arc with Ichigo attending the Soul Society was changed due to the pause that the anime suffered. The last scene in the manga is Riruka's "saying goodbye" monologue. This cute moment with Rukia didn't happen, it came from the creativity of the staff together with Noriyuke Abe, director of the series between 2004 and 2012. And not just this one, other moments in the anime had changes or more emotion to convey the idea that Ichigo would be with to Rukia at the end of the work. Whereas, in the manga, their interactions are like great friends.
I can already say that the anime director forced scenes of possible romance between Ichigo and Rukia that don't exist in the manga, that this is not a romance anime, so let's watch it without creating expectations.
The studio purposely pushed for Ichigo and Rukia in the anime, it was never like that in the manga. The anime omitted and removed a lot of interactions between Ichigo and Orihime, even dumbed down her character.
I never thought of them as romantic, but very close friends. As rukia is the sole reason ichigos life changed completely. Dunno why many people thought they be a thing. It was obvious for me it was Orihime all along

[Tidbits & Clarifications] - In Kluboutside Kubo revealed in QnA 295, that he did in fact end this arc earlier than planned. - We didn't get the explanation of "what happened" to Ginjo or Tsukishima here until far later within light novels, and it makes you empathize with Ginjo's mission...The Soul Society did some overly cruel things to Ginjo. In fact the anime in general didn't properly display even the already small amount of backstory we get for any of the fullbringers. - The Soul Society again shows it's duality here, They came to both give Ichigo his powers back and to see his decision If Ichigo choose not to kill Ginjo they were going to take Ichigo and Ginjo out. - Choice is an important theme expressed here, despite what happened to Ginjo and Ichigo they were still given the choice to choose how they would proceed and the separation is why they are at odds. When ginjo was done wrong he choose vengeance, yet Ichigo made the choice to protect, this is why Ginjo looks upset when Ichigo makes his decision. Ichigo understands why Ginjo is upset and is lost in his vengeance, but at the same time he can't agree with what Ginjo is trying to do, so he saves him by doing the only thing left, taking his life. This idea is why Riruka says that "Ichigo saved him" - Using some context, you can further glean what may have happened. Riruka says that "Ginjo saved us" As Tsukishima was about to rage out despite being half dead, you have to ask, what happened to Tsukishima that made him so against Shinigami as Ginjo was, why was he so desperate to save Ginjo?
The substitute soul reaper badge monitoring and controlling Ichigo's spiritual pressure makes sense and to be honest I would have assumed it was doing that too if I were in Ichigo's position, because he knows that those with high spiritual pressure have seals when they come to the world of the living and he lives there so it's probably even more important for him to have a seal on him. Rukia said that the power Ginjo took from Ichigo was only surface level and I believe this is true in the sense that Ginjo stole the appearance and has some of Ichigo's abilities, but ultimately that power isn't enough to keep up with Ichigo's Bankai.
Byakuya's line about any enemy of Ichigo's is his enemy too is 🔥 To go from mortal enemies to just having beef with his boy will have this man aiming to kill you is so cool to me That's a real friend 😎

When Ichigo couldn't scratch Nnoitra Kenpachi killed him (Yes, with two hands but he still killed him who was unfazed by Ichigo's attacks after Grimmjow's battle). It was much easier for Ulquiorra to bully Ichigo otherwise in Bankai and Hollow Mask, the first Ressurecion of Ulquiorra should've been comparable. In other words for about more than half of the Arrancar saga, Ichigo was not even fighting at half the strength than when he was at Soul Society, cuz if he was Byakuya would be in a lot of problem with Zommari, No.7.
The thing about the badge tracking and monitoring their spiritual pressure is really not bad. Because remember that having a high spiritual pressure can have negative effects on the world of the living. Which is why captains need to seal part of their powers whenever they go the world of the living. Without the badge regulating their spiritual pressure makes them a walking disaster so I don't really get why Ginjo is so mad about it.
Ichigo's interaction with Rukia has always been like friends, or even brothers. A lot of people don't like the ending of the manga, but our protagonist caused misfortune in Hueco Mundo for Orihime, he even died twice because of her. There's no way to ship him as Rukia.

It also helps SS to help Ichigo regulate his spiritual pressure in human form Old Ichigo, his pressure leaked so bad that Hollows chased him and those in contact with him. And that's him with decent pressure, enough to actually cause damage to Menos than average shinigami can't and having to force Urahara to activate his Shikai to enter shield mode Like now, his powers are so high up there as compared to before he became a Shinigami But isn't as bad as before.. That's the good part of the Pass. It keeps all the leak in check so Ichigo could technically have a normal life outside of Shinigami work. And now that they know he knows, they could officially release the 2 way communication function to make it a communicator
