Hola!! Esta culata la limpiamos con un desengrasante, pero sí es verdad que el aceite incrustado es difícil de eliminar. Actualmente las limpiamos por ultrasonidos, lo que da un mejor acabado. Un saludo y gracias por su comentario

Hi, I have Picanto 2005, same engine, replaced head gasket recently. Bought the whole Gasket kit but the mechanic has not replaced the Crankshaft oil seal and Oring. Did not replace the piston and piston rings. Replaced Valve seals.
After a few days noticed the following issues
1. Major oil leak from Crankshaft. Can see a lot of oil on the floor daily.
2. Oil on the 3rd spark plug, have to clean the spark plug everyday.
Thought of replacing the crankshaft seal. Do I need to replace the Tbelt and the tensioner at the same time?
How do I stop leak in the 3rd Spark plug hole? T
Hi! The leak of 3rd spark plug could proceed from the rocker cover gasket, therefore check it.
Regarding to the cranksaft oil seal, if the belt and tensioner are in good condition, it is not required to replace them.

Hi, thank you for the reply.
1. Hope the Rocker Cover Gasket is referred to Tappet Cover.
Cant see any leak from outside from the tappet cover, it sealed well and applied Gasket Maker too.
This happened after replacing the head gasket, notice oil only on the 3rd spark plug head, should be leaking inside. No oil on other plugs. When this happens the idle goes rough, engine light start blinking, no power and drink alot of fuel. So I stop the car and change the plug, I have extra plugs to replace when this happens. But this is a headache. Any idea?
2. Hope the Crankshaft pully is the one coverred by a black color plastic cover near Dipstick head which fixed to the engine head, when remove the cover can see the Tbelt too. Looks oil spreaded everywhere. The mechanic who did the gasket replacement has not replaced the Crankshaft Oil Seal, He gave them when handing over the car, there is another black color o ring ( smaller than the Crankshaft Oil Seal) dont know what is it.
Done 80k KMs after replacing the Tbelt and the tensioner,
time to replace them when replacing the Cranshaft Oil Seal?

1. Exactly. Rocker Cover Gasket = tappet cover gasket.
The main source of oil above the sparkplugs is the rocker cover gasket. If the sparkplug is oiled, it will not work correctly.
2. That oil could be proceed from the oil seal cranksaft seal. On the other hand, we do not know what funtion has the o-ring you mentioned.
3. We recommend you change the Tbelt at leats.

My concern is that I cant see any leaks from Rocker Cover (outside),
Bad rocker cover leads to cause internal oil leaks which affect Spark Plugs??
Tried different Stop Oil Leak produts but didnt work.

What do you put as a lubricant on the camshaft at 4.19 minutes of the video ?? And what grease do you put on the threads of the bolts?

Hi Nath! We lubricate the bearings of the camshaft with an oil called CamOil which we supplie with our camshafts products. On the other hand, for the threads of the bolts we apply a small amount of copper grease in order to reduce the friction between the bolt with the block. Finally, we dont offer these products seperatlly, instead of them you can use normal oil of your engine.

excelente video amigo tengo un problema de calentamiento con kia picanto año 2006 exactamente el mismo motor le he puesto todo el sistema de enfriamiento nuevo y sigue calentando cuando voy a unos 100 kilometros por hora bajo la velocidad y paro el vehiculo y la temperatura comienza a bajar osea a enfriar nuevamente mi pregunta es en los 6 orificio de enfriamiento que tiene la culata y el block note que al colocar la empacadura nueva solo trae la abertura de los 3 de abajo y los 3 de arriba estan sellado es normalmente asi el empaque?
Hola Eduardo! Gracias por tu comentario. Es normal encontrar en la junta de culata menos pasos y más pequeños que en el bloque y culata. Esto sirve para regular la temperatura del motor.

Hi guys!I have same engine same model,so what causing cooling to be out on the valves? I have changed top gasket but still doing the same,and by doing that I cant start the car...
i got same engine and i hear a metallic sound from valves what could that be? its more heavy listening when its cold. Its not valve clearance because ii checked. could be worn camshaft ?

Maybe your vehicle has a misfire. You can check the spark plug and wires, injectors, fuel filter, intake butterfly, etc.

2)50Nm
3)70Nm
4)aflojar 90 grados + 70Nm
5) terminar la reparación, arrancar motor y dejarlo calentar a 90 grados. Después quitar la tapa y dar el último apriete.
6) aflojar -90 grados + 70Nm
