خضابي بعرصة كربلا ماريد انا خضاب
My dye is in the battlefield of Karbala, I don’t want any dye
لازم يـجيني من حبيب المصطفى كتاب
I must receive a letter from my beloved Muhammad
مـسلم يـبن عـمّي دخـبّرني اشصاير
O’ Cousin Muslim, inform me, what is happening?
اشـوف لـونك مـنخطف والقلب طاير
I see your face growing pale and your heart is absent
مـذهول تـمشي بـالسّكك مشية الحاير
Stunned as you walk in the streets in bewilderment
تـخفي الـنّشيج و مـدمعك بالخدّ سجّاب
You conceal your weeping yet your tears flow on your cheek
قـلّـه هـل الـكوفه تـراهم مـستعدّين
Tell him that the people of Kufa are not ready
لـمّوا عـساكرهم قـصدهم ذبحة حسين
They have prepared their army to slaughter Hussain
وبـكربلا مـولاك لا نـاصر ولا مـعين
Your master will be left without supporters in Karbala
عـاف الـدنيّه ومن كثر جورالدّهر شاب
He abandoned life due to the spread of extreme oppression
قـلّه حـبيب الـنّوح والـحسرات مَتْفيد
Habib told him: weeps and sorrow carry no result
تـوكّل عـلى الله كـربلا عنّه مهي بعيد
By Allah’s will, travel to Karbala as it is not far
عـجّل قـبل مـا يـنذبح نسل الاماجيد
Hasten, before the son of the pure lineage is slaughtered
يـا سـعد من يحضى بنومة ذاك التراب
Triumphant is one who is blessed to be strewn on that battlefield
هـذا مـن الـمختار فـي الأمّـه وديعه
He is an entrustment from Muhammad in this nation
عـجّل قـبل مـا تـوقع عـلينا الفجيعه
Hasten, before the calamity is bestowed upon us
نـوصل قـبل لا تـنهدم كـعبة الشّيعه
We must reach before the Ka’ba of Shias is demolished
الـعراق كـلها مـجنّده وماعنده أصحاب
The whole of Iraq has been prepared for battle whilst Hussain is without supporters
