I had a chance to sit in a chauffeur driven Veilfire whilst in Jakarta. They’re a real treat in cities with horrible traffic jams. I could have a good nap after a long lunch meeting.
I think for almost 380K in today's context, the value if you have a large family is quite compelling to say the least. Yes it doesn't sound cheap, but it has a ton of amenities for them especially if you're on a road trip, almost like a Lexus.
Wow! Love the video! Amazing car. Think you could show the car more slowly in greater detail and talk more slowly, but still great. I am subscribing to see more great content!
A Hyundai Staria would be a suitable competitor in the category although not as luxurious. An X7 would probably be a far fetch comparison as opposed to the Staria
this is definitely looks stunner and it is the most comfortable in a segment 😍😄 (wait there is no new alphard in singapore right hmm i think it's not available yet 🤔)
This looks like a Toyota Sienna van (US market) on steroids. Could compete with a Lincoln wagon for a limo-like van. Probably will never make it to the US… (I enjoy the reviews here!)
What's affordability - buy cash no loan. If can own but on loan, can't imagine the amount of interest paid to the bank 😮 - on loan means can't afford 🤭...so our trips on public transport and rental cars means we can afford coz we paid everything in full 😘
Will buy? At 375k? Shouldn't cost play a part in the will buy / won't buy question? You appear to ignore it and instead take the position that you will buy assuming unlimited funds. Sorry, that is not practical or realistic. It's a nice car but not worth it in Singapore. But I learn something. I didn't know Toyota made nice cars. I thought they all looked like the inside of a Vios 20 years ago...
For almost $400k they have to put an effort to glorify the interior right ? Otherwise who will pay that amount for a Toyota if it comes with a 2010 interior
Cost definitely plays a part in the overall consideration, as does COE environment. High COE driving up car prices is unfortunate but we still have to take all factors into consideration, including the relative prices of all other cars in neighbouring segments, as well as overall car prices in general. Value is a very strong consideration for myself. All things considered, I find this car making a strong argument. - Jay
@@sgcarmartreviews previous generation was priced around 290k-300k, that’s a 20% premium over the previous generation. Also Hyundai staria is at $279k and there’s the Maxus Mifa9 which is around the same price range, with all that in mind will it still be a “ will buy “ ?
Personally, having sat in and driven all 3, this Vellfire is a league above the rest. The consideration would be more whether or not the difference in its luxury is worth paying the premium for, rather than comparing against their price dollar for dollar. I feel that it is. But don't take my word for it. Try it out at the Leng Kee showroom, and ask for a sales drive. I'm quite unsure/excited to see how the LM would top this honestly. - Jay

how about a maxus mifa instead for $100k cheaper?

Malaysia selling this new vellfire starting from SGD125,000
That’s still only for the wealthy in Malaysia.
In India it is 270,000 sgd
Hi Jay Jay, can do a review of the Mercerdes Benz EQV 300?
A Hyundai Staria would be a suitable competitor in the category although not as luxurious. An X7 would probably be a far fetch comparison as opposed to the Staria
Should have the central console fridge like LC300 GR Sport, and one in rear would be great.
what about the kia carnival?
With the silly coe prices only PHV can bid ! We need to boycott them to make coe drop
this is definitely looks stunner and it is the most comfortable in a segment 😍😄 (wait there is no new alphard in singapore right hmm i think it's not available yet 🤔)
We've since seen the Alphard but haven't gotten our hands on it!

@@sgcarmartreviews oh I'm looking forward for that i can't wait 😄
Can you review the toyota alphard 2024 ?
whats the KM/L?
No direct competitor of the Vellfire/Alphard? You forgot about the Kia Carnival and Nissan Elgrand.
is the seat Zero Gravity
new GRAB Car
Singaporean already got issue parking vehicles within the marking space, needless to say for vehicle of this size.
@1:17 so is the vellfire bigger or not?
I had brand new alphard for 6 months and decided to move on. Is a car to be driven and not drive it… feel like a chauffeur
How much again??
Honestly, this vehicle is too damm expensive, it's basically more expensive than a BMW, Mercedes, wat the hell, watching from Jamaica west Indies !!.
definately there are competition... i would consider Kia EV9, Hyundai Staria or MG M9.

It would get stolen in Malaysia
Comfortable for the robbers
You look like kim jong un 😂
Just be patient. The Chinese EV MPVs will be very competitive in terms of pricing and features. Toyota's time will be over soon.
Ancient engine. the one to buy is the 2.4 turbo
Great limo, sinful pricing...those Grab bars are useful for getting in n out of the VF n...Ahem!....
Honda odyssey

$375k 😂

This is for people who have a chauffeur. To them, such costs arent a problem. Thats why its a will buy for them

so sad. car designs are getting more muted as years go by. What happened to the daring designs on the past
I know it’s so sad! Nothing is unique anymore but I guess more people buy when it’s more muted.
the only problem about this car is I can't afford it
