This is such a good interview based on pure honesty.
One thing I will say is THANK GOODNESS mental health issues is no longer criticized.
30 yrs ago when I was 22 yrs old and put on anti depressants (wasn’t common) people considered your depression a fault within yourself.
So I didn’t share for feeling incomplete/inadequate. Family telling me for years and years just pop out of it like that was possible.
Saying you’re too sensitive, you take things too personally. I truly felt inadequate all my life. My ex husband telling our children when they were younger ‘your mom is on these meds’ as it was a fault within me. Unfortunately I really didn’t have that comforting support from my family.
Creating boundaries and eliminating certain people in my life has given me some peace.
I am glad there is now so much awareness around mental health and addictions so people don’t feel alone.

Great episode. I too picked up a bottle of anxiety and depression medication and put it in my drawer for 6 months, until one day I took a day off of work. Opened up the bottle and bawled my eyes out because I was at the breaking point. I was so afraid of how it would make me feel, and was so ashamed of myself.
Then….. the difference it made in a matter of 2 days. I’m glad I started.

Love this so much! We definitely do need reentry into to the world for those releases from jail, not for wrong doers to take advantage of help or to be mistaken for their mistakes or bad choices to be supported but to give them a chance to learn the right way. Otherwise it is a revolving door to wrong poor choices. Some don’t have any other way to rise up from their past even when they try to not make poor choices. A program for them when released. Would be more than likely beneficial for not only them, crime rate, but also to citizens..tax dollars Im excited to see where Savannah Chrisley will accomplish. And it takes people that have a platform and capability to make a difference.

If a show is produced, it has to please others besides ourselves or just the actors. No matter what, it has to provide entertainment. No family has that much entertainment without some help. The family members have to be upbeat and positive and everyone loves the humor with the show. Todd is flat cute and unique and his accent. The whole family are a blessing.

I am so impressed with Savannah’s growth, honesty, and how she’s handled trauma. She can help so many people by sharing her journey. Wing so open, talking about suicide, shows how much self reflection and growth she’s done. I always enjoyed the show, but this shows a depth and graciousness that the show just never exposed. I was so moved by this podcast and will definitely listening to her all the time now. I am just so impressed with the woman she has become, knowing we are all human, including her parents, stepping up and taking care of her siblings. That must be so difficult. This just moved me so much and I wish her the best. She’s truly a beautiful person inside and out.

The root and core to all of this craziness is greed, money and pride. It can happen even in the best of families. It always shocks me when people act like the characters/ actors on these reality shows are real. They have a life outside their shows. When the actor takes on their character’s persona into their reality that is when problems arise. They begin to loose a sense of their real self or identity. I can’t imagine being in the spotlight on tv during your teenage years while growing up. I grew up with kids from other Christian families that are lifelong friends. They’re amazing human beings and fellow Christ Believers. A few came from families where their fathers were pastors. They grew up normal. Loving and kind. Not a perfect one in the bunch either. No one is.

What makes me scratch my head is that Savannah on several occasions now that all that happened had stated their show was a scripted comedy or not at all a reality show. I was a huge fan of Todd and Julies podcast as well. So many listeners would call in and specifically ask if it was real and both Todd and Julie adamantly said it was real and not scripted at all. I'm curious why would they lie to us and in the same podcast talk about God and living a good life all the while they were basically lying to us. :(

Her sister mentioned that while it is not scripted, production will kind of give direction of the scene they want and they often schedule the time of filming andnthe family members who would be together doing something. A few other reality stars have mentioned this is how it goes. Not scripted but kinda of a guideline on what is said and activities they wanna see.

I know I already said something but I just wanted to tell you that watching you and telling what I kinda knew you guys had to portray a certain appearance for the show! A reality show in itself is so hard! I knew you mental health struggles as I think we all do, some just handle it differently than others but hearing you talk about intense therapy and suicide like I cried, I really did because watching you guys from day one and as time past I could see a difference and I loved it, you guys were being more of yourselves because myslef and others after watching you guys for so long, I feel like I'm part of the family! I struggle with mental illness and I also had endometriosis and it was horrible, terrible pain! When I came out in 2001 things were so bad, like I knew it would be but I had no idea I would end up losing everyone! My entire family! I went from having a rough childhood my father an alcoholic and my mother a drug addict! When I told them my dad said I was dead to him and my mom was there for me but would tell me how disgusting and how I am a disgrace to the family! To this day none of my family members talk to me, nothing! My dad does finally after 15yrs and my mom and gma is all that I have! But they only tex and call once I awhile and I was stupid and turned to drugs and alcohol nothing bad, bad but bad enough and I bought some stuff of a friend to help him out really and I was charged with felony theft and I did not commit any crime! I have done things I'm not proud of and I have been clean and sober for 8 yrs. I have a great job that I'm grateful for that treat me like a person! I don't get invited to anything family wise! I did marry the love of my life in 2014 and we separated the end of 2021! I loved her half of my life and she left and just ghosted me! The life we built, our home, everything gone! She is the only person I have ever felt like really felt like she loved me for me and she did but I had alot of mental problems that ultimately caused us to separate and I just feel defeated, tired, spent! I am just tired of being tired! I did attempt suicide but the rope snapped and I took it as God does not want me to do that! I have always been told that God doesn't love you, God hates gay people so your wasting your time. That isn't a sin it's an abomination amongst other things but you get the idea! I don't want to die but I'm tired of living! I have been leaning on god more than ever, I know he loves me, I know he cares no matter what they say I know God has me! I just need to get back to myself! Hearing you speak just gave me the push I needed! I'm going to go and get help! Inpatient intense therapy and learning to love myself again, because I don't love myself, let alone like myself but I know and I believe God will show me the way and I believe I was meant to see this because even after everything you have been through you hold your head up high and you handle what needs to be done, your so strong and amazing! All of you are, like I said I feel apart of the family lol nanny Faye! I love yall! I will be so happy when you and your family is whole again! Thank you soooo much truly from the bottom of my heart for sharing this with the world! You are just wonderful! Thank you, thank you! Also I love your podcast and I never miss a episode! It's my favorite ❤❤❤ God bless you and your family and I will continue to pray for you guys!! All the love from Myself Erin!

Your smile could light up any stadium never lose what the Good Lord Blessed You With. He also Blessed you with a Huge Heart and the Love you have for people it’s Amazing too see. I know that when your parents get out and see all the many changes you have made in our world they are going to be blown away.. I pray that God’s hedge of protection is around you and your family.. With God All Things Are Possible and that Scripture I live by and I know the change you are about to make for Women in prison is going to be Amazing and it says a lot about you my friend... Keep your head held high and just know that the world see’s you for who you are and that’s in a good way my friend!!!!

I love you Savannah in your family. But listening to your podcast are incredibly boring. It's like every person that your guest has been years in therapy along with you and we just buzz words being thrown around constantly psychotherapy buzzwords. Nobody's talking about their feelings.
Nobody's talking about the plan to move forward. And if I hear one more young person say I'm trying to find out who I am I'm going to blow a gasket! I'm old enough to be a grandmother and Nate has never ever occurred to me to find out who I am. That's just the most ridiculous idle talk. Now if you're a born-again Christian, this conversation oriented a whole different direction. Otherwise listening to you and your guest is like listening to the wisdom of men. And it's very limiting.
My life is simple everyday I figure out how to please God and how to be put into service by him. And then secondarily I attempt to except the situation's I'm in WoW praying for them to change. End of story.
