Greetings from Orlando Florida. Awesome video from Norway and thank you for sharing.
Oslo looks like a great city, very vibrant and walkable. Never have been there but will have to visit some day. Your videos are great for city planners & urban development and to show viewers world class cities, thanks!
The local "government" consist of the traditional labor party and a green party. They decided to use money given by the parliament to update roads around the capital, to update parks, close streets for cars etc. So yes, very walkable.
@@TullaRask Thanks for the additional info. Sounds like the local govt invests back into the community. Oslo looks like a great city.
@@jefftx7596 Yes I like it here. I originally come from a smaller place. Oslo because of it's size maybe, accepts people whims much easier. People don't judge quite a easy as in smaller places.
Thanks for sharing. Oslo is another city I want to visit.
Sophisticated travelers KNOW that hop-on-hop-off and big buses are the smartest way to get to know a city ! VIDEO from in the bus was AWEOME too 💪
Very glad to see you in Oslo :)
Was there in June. Loved it. Going back next year. It ain’t cheap though!
Great Oslo ❣️
So beautiful city
Your video is always awesome. Great contents. Thank you.
Thank you so much for amazing video I enjoyed
Awesome video
Norway 🇳🇴 is on my holiday list and I might go to Oslo next year.
Wahoo a beautiful city ☺☺
Good information. Thank you.
Very neat city thank you for sharing
Heading to Oslo from Alabama in June. Going to see Iron Maiden in Bergen later in the trip.
You should visit Oslo if you're totally fine seeing a fjord (but not necessarily the best fjords), and prefer the city vibe. If you're looking for more things to do at night, a nightlife scene, lots of restaurants, bars, modern buildings and such, then Oslo is your city.
Cool video
Vary nice place i love Norway 🎉
Love your videos, and by the way, the main shopping mall is across the street/bridge, called Oslo City. The big malls are in the suburban areas of the city. :
You didn't quite go far enough to see old town. Oslo is often refered to as the Nordic Pompeii, meaning you have to actually search for old remains. It was behind the bridge on the water you talked about the houses on the other side. For some reason Oslo just doesn't show off old history as much. Also Munch is pronounced with a "k" :)
This is good to know! Thank you Tulla! I'll be there next month!
What month was this? Great overview, we plan to take the bus to get an overview as well.
June

Big difference from the wild horses in the Salt River, right.

Beautiful city!
My ancestral homeland
Beautiful Oslo
Jeff Question: 🙋♀️ I presume you favor filming with the DJI because of the easier hand-held zoom aspects. I am always amazed at the quality of your videos. It appears the DJI is far easier to hold and walk with while zooming. Can you confirm this and/or make a video on your filming techniques ⁉️ Perhaps a "short" if you wanted to keep it short ? 😊
Ahh yes I do like the little DJI
Nice room
In most summer videos I've seen of Oslo there are much more people.
Nice video :-) The urban area of Oslo has a population 1,071,062 The Oslo metropolitan area has a population of 1.5 million. Oslo is growing at a record rate and it's now the fastest-growing major city in all of Europe. A nice, clean city with a low crime rate :-)
So you mean Oslo has a population of 2.5m people? What's the population of Norway?
What he said about 700k is probably true on paper, but frequently university towns has lots of students that doesn't change adress when they study. 1 mill is what the major of Oslo said was the number in an intervju. Most of Norways inhabitants lives in the area around the capital and the country has 5.3 mill.
@@julietiyore7327 Metro area means urban + suburban, you don't add the numbers together.
@@julietiyore7327 He said 1,5 mill. The south eastern part of the country has the same population density as mainland Europe. If you go west towards Drammen you’ll see that the municipalities are more or less grown together.
This is where my ancestors came from I'm in California today lol
They started building the fortress in the 13th century, but outside of the central castle most of it is much newer.
It's actually not pronounced ''Munch'', it's more like ''Monk'', it's a museum about Edvard Munch, the famous Norwegian painter, he did the famous ''scream'' painting.
What's the cost of the hop-on-hop-off bus, train ride to airport, ceviche, etc? It would be helpful to include the cost.
It was around 50 dollars for a 24 hour period.
May I ask that if I’m a tourist from Asia planning solo travel to Norway without any debit or credit cards , just cash , would I be able to find some cafe that accept cash and able to ride bus using cash ?
I would not recommend it. Cash can be used for many transactions of course, but most people pay with cards and the payment systems of many services are based on that. Not having a card could be difficult in many situations, but not impossible. I'd guess that Norway is one of the least cash-friendly countries in the world.
What is the street you are walking down in the start of the video? Also, what month were you there?
It was filmed in Summer of 2022
When where you here?
I was here in July.
👍
Not Munch, it’s pronounced Moonk. The painter of The Scream.

the pronounciation is almost like "ah-keurs-zeus""
Ayo masarakat Indonesia kita Holiday ke Norwegia...di jamin .menyenangkan.......sebab..Norwegia sama Indonesia mah saudara...ha ha ha ha....
oslo looks like a budget ghetto version of stockholm
I would not say that. Oslo is nice
Terrible guide. The City Hall is an amazing building, well worth a quick tour. “All you need is 30 minutes to see the Vigland Museum.” He missed the whole concept of that museum. Then I thought we were going to tour the Viking Museum, but no, he wanted to find some lunch. He makes the most inane comments. . .”The explorers must have taken pigeons with them when they traveled as they are everywhere”. He could have pointed out that it is one mile from the Oslo Cathedral to the King’s Palace. Along that route is the center of the city and a good sample of Oslo. He doesn’t seem to know that ‘gamel Oslo’ means old Oslo, the historic area. I enjoyed the photography, but this travel guide needs a better guide.
I'm going to die there.

Not the most informative narration and definitely no valuable tips on sightseeing. At best it’s an iPhone vlog as you wander about Oslo. Perhaps viewing other video bloggers might give you a better perspective of the info you should be presenting. Just some positive criticism.
Great video, but seriously lame and inappropriate music.
Stop talking !!
