Love the sump. They did a great job on it. There is a lot going on but it's still very clean looking. The longer I'm in this hobby the more I'm interested in what's under the hood. I've seen lots of great displays but am more intdrested and how you run it. Been trying to find the best display with simplistic filtration.
Looks awesome, I was going to build a canopy for my tank a while back but Home Depot sux big time here for wood, I walked in with a tape measure and their 2 x 1 wood is 1.75 x 0.75 and I couldn't find a piece that wasn't twisted or bowed
Question - why have a canopy at all? I've just started this hobby a few months ago. It seems a 50-50 split between people with or without. I am without right now, and being in Montreal - heating a lot - lots of evaporation. So a canopy to keep some of the humidity inside - but - the fans would actually make that worse. So...why bother with a canopy? Is it just for looking nice? Thanks for your videos, they have helped. I'm on R2R also.
i like to have a canopy for a couple reasons. 1. keeps all the light focused into the tank, 2. keeps the eel in the tank, 3. hides the lights and keeps temp stable. 4 cuts down on evaporation.
My entire system was paid for by coral sales. i do very well locally and via the net i think i just shy of 300 orders in 10 months. But its a lot of work
It really depends on his personality. I would say pick a job that fits and stick with it. Get as many extra classes as you can for promotion and understand a deployment will happen. Stay away from the women and go overseas single.
Nice build - looking forward to seeing the 10 XR-15 in there! That will be some killer lighting. Just curious - how loud are the 200mm fans, and are you running them full bore at 12v? Trying to decide what fans to use on my hood, and deciding between more smaller fans, or fewer larger fans like yours...
I was looking for plans to build a canopy about a month ago. the one i came up with myself was just A TAD BIT, more complicated than the one you made. nice work
Wow that canopy came out awesome.
