Hello everybody, thanks for watching the first episode of 'Pass The Keys'! Admittedly, this one was a little bit janky, but it was an interesting topic and a good way of not only getting my opinions out to you lot, but also as a great way of improving my skills at wittering on at nothing for half an hour. That's a Nissan Elgrand in the background, by the way. Review on that coming at some point in the future. Looking forward to attending the NEC soon, hopefully get some really interesting interviews for you lot! Gotta add as well, I meant the KIA EV6 GT, not the EV9, but you probably knew that...
As always, I appreciate the support - little bit of a filler video in between the more edited car reviews, but I've some really interesting interviews planned in the next few weeks, so this one was really just testing the waters. Cheers for the comment regarding the setup too!
I don't care that EVs/EV conversions are being made, however I do care that manufacturers are going away from internal combustion vehicles seemingly all together. Ford, for example, has the 4 door "mustang" and the "lightning." We all know the mustang should only be a 2 door sports car. The lightning should only be a 2 door pickup with 750hp. The electric F-150 should just EF-150. Just my boomer thoughts. Enjoyed the video!
That sounds like a completely reasonable opinion to me. The fact is, electric vehicles really aren't suitable for everybody at this point in time, and unless technology radically improves, that's simply going to be a fact for the forseeable. Whilst their range is improving, they're still objectively slower to charge compared to combustion engines, and too susceptible to environmental factors which affect range. Heritage wise, I definitely agree with your point that using of famous nameplates to create something with little resemblance to the original (see the ford puma, Mitsubishi Eclipse) is blasphemous. Unfortunately, that name translates into sales. That'd potentially be a topic for another video! Cheers for the support!
Really enjoyed this Cai
The Elgrand’s sizeable posterior makes a cameo
It didn't just make a cameo, it stole the show
