Hyatt wins because they also changed the AA partnership If Hyatt ever went to dynamic pricing, they are done. Their properties are not on the same level as Marriott and Hilton and the only thing keeping them alive is their award chart and top tier loyalty benefits
Good. You shouldn't. Every now and then a sneaky advertiser gets one through, but your data point is why I bring this up -- we may only know about one of those if someone reports it to us since we may not see the same thing. -Nick
From my memory when we booked our Atlantis stay, they don’t release availability till after the February date so don’t hope to get a spring break or summer trip.
For priority pass, I do the same as Greg. But also another suggestion is when creating a new PP account, I usually do the user name as my initials and the name of the card so it's easier to recognize which account I want to log in with. For those who haven't done that, the different banks usually use a different membership number sequence, so it is possible to figure it out via Google.
SAS being so difficult demonstrates everything people find annoying with complicated promotions. We live in a world of "gotchas" and it's annoying. They should just award everyone who flew 15 airlines. The whole "we have to confirm your fare class" non sense seems so crazy when you put the work into flying so much. I think it is going to be interesting to see what people think of them if they don't just hurry up and give you your reward
@iankm1 , they should eliminate the fare class nonsense. It's difficult enough to figure out what fare class you are even buying. It's a stupid technicality. If you fly 15 different airlines, they should just give it to you.
@ it’s a business trying to make money. Gotta have some rules. I obviously didn’t participate in this challenge but I bet if you purchase all the tickets directly through SAS they make it very easy for you to see the fair class because that’s what they want. They don’t want you using partners they don’t want you using third-party.
@@iankm1 , I get rules. But this is why people don't like airlines. Normal people don't want to have to understand the guts of a business to use it. The promotion is so "grand" in nature that they should drop the technicalities. A normal person (as opposed to travel enthusiasts who consider this a serious hobby) would hear that someone completed 15 different airlines and was denied the prize because of a fare class as being dishonest of the airline. And I would agree. What should be a cool marketing campaign could blow up in their face.
At the same time, this isn’t something that a ‘normal’ person would do. People always want businesses to just give something because they don’t want to follow the rules. If it’s too difficult then don’t do it to begin with. It’s a different story, if you follow the rules and don’t get the miles. Sorry but not flying the correct fare class is not one of them!

Vacasa properties that were below $250 last year seem to all magically be over $250 now 🤔 Anyway the .71cpp point buy is tempting but I’m already sitting on 150k that I already have a hard enough time using
It can be really tempting to go assume it's a conspiracy against us, but you have to step back and consider that Wyndham likely has a much smaller number of members than other US-based hotel chains. Of that relatively small number, think of the small percentage of members who have any significant number of points, and then the small percentage of that small percentage who have even heard of Vacasa and then the smaller percentage yet that realize that Wyndham has a partnership with Vacasa and then the smaller percentage yet that represents the total number of people who have a Wyndham account, have a significant number of points, know about Vacasa, know about Wyndham's partnership with Vacasa *and* have a need for a vacation rental that lines up with Vacasa's footprint and availability. I just can't imagine that whatever number of people that is represents a significant enough portion of Vacasa's business to have a more significant impact on pricing than owner requirements and being competitive with Airbnb/Vrbo. In other words, I just can't imagine that there are enough Wyndham redemptions to exert a noticeable influence on pricing. I would imagine that the total number of Wyndham redemptions likely represents a rounding error in Vacasa's balance sheet. The fact is that the price of most things is more this year than it was last year -- hotel rates have certainly risen at the same hotels year over year, so while it is disappointing, it doesn't surprise me that some Vacasa rentals have also increased rates. -Nick

I’ve never seen a pop-up ad on the Frequent Miler website.

But what if you didn’t fly the right fare class? You shouldn’t get them it’s in the rules.

Can you book for 2025's Atlantis if you've already used it in 2024?
Yes - that was great deal at $640 for 120K points. Done. I’m now Diamond. $40 for free breakfast and top tier status for 2025 - No Brainer !!!❤
I paid $800. I wonder if I can do anything about it.
