I have long hair as well (waist length), kinda thick, not very healthy though.
My issue is, after completing one round of the braid, there's a whole lot of hair remaining and I don't know what to do with it ☹️
Ayesha Tabassum honestly if you have hair longer than mid back it’ll be just a bunch of hair sitting on top of your head. I used to be able to do a simple milk maid braid when my hair was shorter and thinned out , now that my hair is almost butt length and super thick every cute hairstyles like these look messy. I have too much hair right now.

@@misbaharshad6840 I wish I could give you tips but for me it’s genetics, my father’s side of the family have very thick hair. My grandfather was 92 years old and he never went balled and all the men like my uncles and my dad still have full head of hair even though they are all 60+ years old.

Problem with that is in these particular that wod be hard to film due to the models own hand and arms getting in the way of filming

The hairstyles are beautiful, but I wish you would show what they look like from straight on (if the model looked directly into the camera). I would be doing these on myself if I tried them, and it would be very helpful to know what they look like from a direct angle.

You can do a crown braid on short/medium hair. They are actually made for short/medium hair (and easier.) You won't have as much leftover hair. I prefer cheating with crown braids as I can never to the last part well. I make two braids and overlap them.
KateandZena thanks! I'll try it. my hair isn't too short its just a bit layered so its hard getting all of them inside but hopefully I'll be able to do a crown braid
Ballerina's (well, former) secret: Use mousse beforehand OR as you notice the layers coming to an end, use extra-strength hairspray. Spray your layers and braid them in while the hair is still wet. Or you can braid your hair wet. But mousse and hairspray are big tricks of the trade.
I still use these two hair helpers as an equestrian to tame my baby fine, thin, sleek straight (which, yes, this means I am prone to the two most evil things in the world - static and tangles) hair for competitions.

I see my old enemy: the fishtail braid. Guess I will stick to the milkmaid style :p
My enemy is any braid that requires beading to the scalp, so any style of dutch or french are beyond me. I can do a normal fishtail, but the moment I try to do to my scalp I'm at a loss
@Toothless French braid is pretty easy, just about gathering hair as you go. A Dutch braid, however, is black magic as far as I'm concerned.

That's considered thick hair? I have really thick hair so maybe that's why hers is bland in comparison

Too much bobby pins, I can never place that much faith in them to last the entire working day, they've failed me before and will fail me again.

You can actually slow it down yourself! I watched them sped up because I'm good at braiding, but when I was first learning, I would watch them at a slower speed. Plus you can rewind 10 times and no one will judge you. :). It's under the little gear logo on the bottom right. :)
